Rawdon's SIL is the kindest person in this entire film, the true MVP. It's a shame they cut this scene. Also, kind of funny that Pattinson ended up playing Witherspoon's lover in Water for Elephants a few years later!
well rob's acting as we see is very raw.... this i guess his first movie... bt nw as every film he does gradually he's becoming a great actor and obviously he's a NATURAL charmer... LUV U ROB!!!!
i don't understand as to why some critics regard rob to someone who can't act.. the guy is a natural!! try watching his other films and soon enough you can observe the character on the screen and not just rob.. he plays well.. and i think him playing salvador dali is awesome.. i hope he will get nominated someday by some respected award giving body for his talent and not just bec. he is a heartthrob..
They should not have deleted this scene. It ties all of the other stuff together and makes a better sense of the film. Idk people just make stupid decisions.
I think critics get hung up on his looks and do not look at the depth of his performances! He was a little stiff in some scenes in Twilight, but this was the first time he had to carry a major motion picture. Some scenes he was VERY good in and totally embodied the character. His career is still young, but I think he has the conviction, work ethic and commitment to really have a great career. That is, if his adoring fans don't drive him to leave acting!! LOVE YOU ROB!!
hey he is a good actor, he switches from his british accent to an american accent. when i saw twilight i had NO idea he was british... and he's really god at being a vampire and a boy running away to a circus train and more
woooow.....such an amazing scene not only for having gorgeuos Rob but for the message it carries....Love conquers Vanity...i watched this film and coming to an end searched for this kind of wonderful scene that can summarize its meanning ...in vain...now i see tht they had it but deleted...dunno why....weird!
Rob is so damn hot!! I missed this look and I'm glad it's making a reappearance is Bel Ami and Water for Elephants. The clean classic gentelman look. He still looks good in Twilight but this brings tears to my eyes.
So glad to finally be able to have seen this after having heard Robert mention this ages ago on the Graham Norton show (UK chatshow to those that dont know) After this, he appeared in Harry Potter as Cedric Diggory, thats where I found him most attractive (Yes, much more so than Twilight - Cos twilight kinda peed me off with the whole vampire sparkling thing -_- & so I'm not a massive fan of said films) But, to say he is untallented is unfair, cos he's an up & coming brilliant actor!
@rebel92888 Ehhh, don't judge the poor kid based on Twilight alone. I enjoyed him in the Goblet of Fire (granted, the role of Cedric in general is pretty cookie cutter, but still...) But I have seen him in The Bad Mother's Handbook, which has got him branching out a bit into the ridiculously eccentric - which is something he genuinely pulls off very well. I heard that he's ok in Remember Me - have you seen that? I kept from seeing that movie because of the Twi-hards
I love twilight but to be honest I do agree with you, when he does a role for another movie he's just soooooo much better! And old clothes suit him in my opinion that's why I loved that he got the role in bel ami

omigod, he looks so fudging sexy!!!! i love tht thing at the end where he looks at his mother a like he did her a huge favor yet he has this little uncertain look on his face... she doesnt deserve him and she didnt deserve her husband... i hate the real ending of the movie!!
I can see why it was cut - I don't quite get why Crawley Jr went to shunning Becky to blandly holding hands with her so quickly - I don't think his feelings would have changed so swiftly, even in the most sentimental of speeches. It's interesting to see Rob act in this. He's rather bland in it - I think he could have afforded to show more emotion when he first turns away Becky's apology.

I love this scene when I watched Vanity Fair I really wanted her to be reunited with her son it sucks they cut this out.
