I watched about half of this series. I coudn't believe our long lanky Eloise was played by this very versatile actress. Her hair here is a very strange color. Becky Sharpe was one of the most complicated "fast" women characters of this time period. She was a woman trying to survive. Amelia is one of the truly honorable young women written. This battle scene and the ball the night before is one of the most famous scenes of literature. A lot of storylines rise and fall the night before the battle.
In Lovesick, it was the other way around. Johnny Flynn's character wanted to dump Claudia Jessie. 😂 I do hope they get paired again in another movie or tv series.
I loved this adaptation. Nothing is as good as the 1987 Eve Matheson version of Vanity Fair, of course. That was the most faithful to the book and to Becky's character. But Olivia Cooke did a wonderful job as Becky -- everyone was wonderful and it was really enjoyable.
Yes, exactly! soap operas are not good! They're tacky shmatsy never-ending drama after drama ... I actually enjoyed the Reeses version, it was made far moer dignified and adult, this version is terrible, and everyone overacts, and Becky (actress) has no charisma, no spark, nothing!
@@taddybear Same!! Her story is competing with Anthony’s. Idk which I love more. I really hope she gets her story approved. If anything, please make a film!!
@@l0vejulie Yeah. Bridgerton series has already been approved up to season 4. Eloise's book (To Sir Phillip, With Love) is supposed to happen in season 5, but who knows? Maybe they'll bump it earlier in the TV adaptation? But even if they don't, I highly doubt it if the series will not continue on after season 4. It is a Shonda Rhimes show and one of Netflix's most successful series.
@@taddybear I hope so! I love Colins and Benedict’s story too, but Eloise’s is something special!! Biased lol. If they do bump it, I hope they do it justice since her story coincides with Colins and Penelope’s timeline. In Anthony’s though, they had better show Pall Mall!! 🥰🥰
I love Claudia Jessie as Eloise in Bridgerton, but I didn't really like her version of Amelia. She always looked like she was about to cry. Overall a good telling of the story, though. She's a very good actress.

Bridgerton is a show for teens, and it's incredibly racism by the very historical lies & absurdities it describes; season 2 is pathetic! ... and Claudia is a terrible actress! who overacts, this version is so tacky, overplayed, the actress playing Becky Sharp has no spark whatsoever ... Only people who have been brain washed into tacky crappy movies can think this is good or good acting .. I like Claudia, she's a charismatic person, I wish her well, but someone has to tell her to stop trying so hard and take several notches down her acting, and try to be more natural, less melodramatic and then, who knows ...
Congratulations Claudia for making it to the IMDb Top 100 Stars of 2021!
I have loved her in Bridgerton, definitely an actress to watch because she’s going to go far.
Claudia Jessie a revelation, hope we get to see her more. Her comedy is what draws some of us, but definitely great actress.
She’s such a good actress.

Tbh, I liked Claudia better as Amelia than as Eloise.
it’s funny how she wants to be married in one character and despises the idea as eloise
Whaat no way! I just realized this. What a super actress. Completely different characters! Just wow!
okay Let‘s start the claudia jessie appreciation-party🙌
Me: 🙌
Yes plzzz!!
aaaaaaaaaaaaa
perfect
Heck yeahh
Claudia Jessie reminds me so much of Meghan Follows! She has that playful yet mischievous sparkle!
Now yi say it I can't unsee it, they're ao similar
There is something about her, that makes me love her! She is going to go far amd beyond!
That’s Mr. Knightley and Eloise Bridgerton
Eloise Bridgerton and Alicent Hightower in one drama
She is so gorgeous i love her sm aahhhh
She is one of the most gorgeous English actresses of her generation. I love her voice too, btw.
@@taddybear her voice is beautiful indeed.

Poor Dobbin. Johnny Flynn played his part brilliantly. Lucky lucky Amelia.

@@taddybear yes, and it has to be a HEA!
You can see what a fine actor Claudia is. Two completely different characters.

I read this book in high school and the story is SO MUCH DRAMA! It should be the outline for an American soap opera.

Her love story had slight Francesca vibes, readers of Bridgerton would know. But ohh I love~ she deserves all the happiness!!❤️❤️
Can't wait for her Bridgerton season. 😍

It did!!! Her story was so sad!!
4:14 reminds me of the scene for Bridgerton Season 2 when Eloise fights with Penelope
Me too!
I absolutely loved this serie!!
Wow!
I will most definitely go watch this. Didn't know she could tear our heart out. This looks epic.
Omg. Why didn't i know about this. . . She is so very good actress.
Johnny Flynn as Dobbin is a perfect casting choice! love him sm
He played that part very well.
Claudia Jessie for Main Character on Netflix again plz❤
A great story, well told.
This really reminds me of Francesca's married life in bridgerton
Amazing Claudia!! Great performer
Absolutely loved this series. The actress that played Becky plays her so well. As someone who loved the book I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it
what an absolutely fantastic actress!!
She was by far the best part of this show along with William and I was so glad they got a happy ending
the best actress!!!!! claudia my love 😫❤
This is giving me Francesca Bridgerton vibes!
Exactly! 😊
She was great in Vanity Fair.
Mr. Knightley 😍
totally picturing Eloise like this when she is eight and twenty
What a loaded cast. I need to watch this
Oh My. The British are the best actors indeed.
So true.
Because they train as actors.
@@lilibetpand they begin their careers on theater stages not in commercials.
And the Irish too
She is so versatile
Olivia Cooke as Becky was my favourite character, but Claudia Jessie stole my heart in Vanity Fair too ❤
Johnny Flynn is so beautiful 💖
This is soooooo good
Alicent Hightower and Eloise Bridgerton!!!!
Wow with that hair she looks just like Megan Follows from Anne of Green Gables!!
Oh thank you🎉
Eloise and Alicent!
Does anyone else think she looks like Megan Follows in this? Especially with this hair color.
She's a mixed of ELoise and Jo March
So i am guessing this is how Eloise will look like years later and would see Theo again 😢 Just dreaming a bit!
She is brilliant.
I love Claudia Jessie as Eloise in Bridgerton, but I didn't really like her version of Amelia. She always looked like she was about to cry. Overall a good telling of the story, though. She's a very good actress.
Careful Eloise, Alycent is not a force to mess with….
Where can you stream this from Italy?
Where can I watch this?
It's streaming on Amazon Primevideo.
Is she to be married, or stay single for ever
Its a different story… from reese witherspoon
What is really name of movie.
Vanity Fair. It's a TV miniseries, not a movie.
I didn't like the way becky was dressed. The emphasis was on amelia whereas the books emphasis is onbecky. Dobbin does not show much passion.

Is this from second season ??
Vanity Fair is a limited series only. So, only one season. No second season.
I thought it was Annette Benning for a few seconds.
Game of thrones and brigerton blassssstttt
Wow she is so much better in this than Bridgerton, she was annoying and horrible in that, but very likeable here.
True. But let's hope Eloise would be much better in Bridgerton season 2 since her character is supposed to have matured a bit already.
That was literally the nature of her character. And she played Eloise perfectly.
@@amieofrain1804 fully aware of that.
I was waiting for the Dragon , this Alison is not evil
Dobbin is a simp to have pined for someone as insipid as Amelia. She has such bad judgement you almost feel contempt for her character.
Exactly. In the book, it is quite clear that book Amelia was a very superficial person.
He's right. She's not worthy.
Why are their uniforms so ugly…
