I recommend everyone using Reverb or Delay techniques for techno rumble to print those channels to audio and only use the parts where the reverb/delay ramped up already.
Just what the doctor ordered this, been trying to get close to the bass of Camelpaht & Rebuke - The Future and this is going to help massively. Cheers Will
My god! Thanks man! I find you the finest music producer youtuber to watch BY FAR! I feel very empowered by your video's. I'm very grateful for your content!
Here it is. Another practical tutorial to be integrated into my flow. I like particularly the explanation of the effects chain associated with the Rumble. How to fine tune the rumble is now crystal clear and inspiring. Thank you.
Thank you for your awesome educational content! What is the SC "pump" compression buying you on the additional kick at time 13:37? This additional kick is on the dotted eighth note beat...well after the downbeat ducking your getting from SC track. It doesn't seem like this side chain is necessary or doing anything excepting consuming CPU assets.
Quickly getting an instrument folder full of wills - (insert instrument name here) Loving all your vids! Stores open so that means master class time for me is fast approaching!!!
HI Good video, fantastic. I have a question. i don't hear anything when i play only the rumble. What i'am doing wrong then? the only difference is that i used a midi for the kick
Love it!!! Many thanks!!! For an amuture user, I'm digging deeper into mixdown friendly techniques for cleaner finishes - love the multi tracks for clarity - Also love Oscar @OscarUnderdog
Brilliant as usual Will - I thought my stubble grew quickly but you were clean shaven in the intro and only seconds later you have a designer stubble! Legend! ;-) Your wife looks hot also.. hehe! Good Work!
I've got a simple question. When you preview the Sub Rumble track, you solo it and you hear the audio of the kick coming through. Whenever I try to do that I hear nothing. I need to have my main kick track also 'soloed' in order to hear the rumble track. Is this an ableton 11 feature, I have 10, or is there some setting somewhere I'm overlooking?
Does anyone know how to route an audio track input audio track in Logic for this? I can create the same effect with auxilary/bus channels but am wondering if there is a more proper way. Thanks!
In working with many people, I wonder if you have any tips on using hardware controllers to help with the composition side of edm production? There are lots of videos on what controllers (push, launchpad, key step, etc) do, but short of spending several hundreds of dollars I’m not sure how useful they are.
i have a question, i want to create a hard techno kick and i'm using a drum rack for using more samples together, i add effects (delay, reverb,...) for make rumble in one kick or in all kicks?
Hey man great tutorial ! I have a question, I understand why everything under 120 HZ is Mono. There is a track by Tiger Stripes called “Planet Dying”, his Sub Bass sounds like its completely Stereo, and it sounds soo massive and Full !!! For the life of me i cant figure out how hes doing that
My OCD is kicking in here But when you are soloing the Rumble track my Kick channel dies causing my rumble track to be silent too. It doesn't seem to be doing that for you. What am I missing?
well everything is awesome Will, thanks, but when i saw how those frames were "arranged" on the wall in the intro i got instant anxiety. Do you enjoy seeing the world burn ?
will darling, i am still waiting for the complete trance song from your tutorial with armin van buuren. do you remember? bro i need this whole song please :) :) :)
My ultimate guide to techno rumbles! Let me know if you learned anything new :)
the track is a little too melodic for the techno feel youre trying to demonstrate, i think :)
Track is perfect. Reminds me of Darren Emerson - Deadlock acid remix. Nice video Will.
Petechno petachno!
Nice Toturial Will. I recreate that a little more hard, put a Saturator and EQ Channel from Eq Filters on Rumble audio and the result is good too.
Nice one Will 😁
Cheers, Oscar! Thanks for watching :)
Let's get ready to rumble. :) nice video.
Cheers, Bob!

Love it! Great tip 🤙
Excellent and clear as usual. 😃
Watched this video again after a couple of months and it definitely nails. Straight to the point.
Just what the doctor ordered this, been trying to get close to the bass of Camelpaht & Rebuke - The Future and this is going to help massively. Cheers Will
You're welcome! 🙂
I've been listening to a lot of techno lately and really like that rumble bass. (Night session out the window)
😎
One of the best tutorials and techniques I have ever seen so far! Thank you master, appreciate all your help! Cheers from México!
You’re welcome, glad it was helpful! 🙂🙌🏻

Thank you so much for the kind words!! 🙌
Been trying to figure out why my kicks have a click for ages! Thanks for telling me the compressor can cause that noise in ableton 🙏🏼

Hi Will!
Thanks for your Videos! I searched for exactly this Video. You explain everything and I can even download this projekt for free! Magnificent!
Awesome, Johann, I am glad I could help! 🙂🙌🏻
Teaching is a gift
Great thanks - I replicated it in Logic
Awesome, I am glad you found it helpful! 🙌🏻
Thank you very much, in the last three days binge watched a bit and learnt A LOT from that! Thanks!
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching and for the kind words of support 🙂
Amazing vid - as always; best bit - the cameo + reaction )))
Fantastic Will 👍🏻
Thanks, Paul!
Nice video mate. Class as always
Cheers, Monty!
Ive noticed, after watching 2 videos, Your speaking voice sounds like it has a slight tube distortion on it but crispy. I like it.
Ready to rumble! Refreshing to see that level of detail at the right pace ;-)
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Great lesson! Thank you 🙏
My pleasure, glad you liked it! 🙌🏻
I've been singing your praises on the Underdog Discord server for quiet a while now!
Cheers!
Haha nice one 😁

Nice technique on that mid rumble
Very useful thanks

You're welcome! Thanks for watching and supporting :)
@EDMTips Noo thanks to you to share your skills!
All your videos are excellent. I'm probably not going to be making this sort of techno but I certainly used to love it in 2002 :D
Thanks for watching!
Nice! And love the shout out to Oscar's awesome tutorial. Killer 303 sound, too! Maybe do a tutorial on that?
And here it is! Hahaha

This was great!!!! I finally made a decent rumble bass! Seriously, this was extremely clear and helpful. Thanks as always.
Glad it helped :)

literallly the best
Another brilliant tutorial! Keep ‘em coming Will!!
Cheers! Glad you enjoyed :)
Thanks Will, only one question, how to make that white sidechain track?
Just a normal MIDI track, but the routing set to "Sends Only" rather than the master. This means it won't be audible :)
@@EDMTips Thank you really much, you are the best
Thank you so much again!
That was super helpful. Thank you!
Loving your videos Will ... but those wonky picture frames on the wall are triggering my OCD ;)
😆 That was a random rental property. It would do my head in, too!
thx bro! cool!
No worries :)
Super video! :-)
Thanks!
Amazing
Tanks, I am glad you found it useful! 🙌🏻
Great stuff, thanks!! Is it just me or is that 303 a semitone sharp compared to the kick (and was it intentional)?
it certainly adds a sense of urgency, i think it works.
Very nice!
HI Good video, fantastic. I have a question. i don't hear anything when i play only the rumble. What i'am doing wrong then? the only difference is that i used a midi for the kick

great vid 🔥

See....my extreme testosterone and virility account for both of those!
Nice work 👍
Appreciate it! 🙌🙏
Why eq the rumble at 44Hz? Kick is not playing at the same time as the rumble so there’s no clashing of frequencies.
THNXXX
You are welcome! :)
Are those framed acid sheets in the background? 🙃
Hell yea amen brother
That sounds more tech trance than techno. Very cool tutorial though will. Brilliant as per

@ EDM Tips Help!
Thanks Will! Do you have a discord server for EDM Tips?
Not yet, but we're looking into it for the new year!
The mid ruble click is annoying me :( Do you have any ideas how to remove the click sound from the delay?
Is their a way to create a Rumble in a certain key?
true gold
Thanks for the support, Pawel!
How come the perc rumble doesn't clash with the sub rumble?
Yotto tutorial please

Hey Will, you mentioned a sample pack in the video but don't see a link. Is this just with the project file?
What about these Tabs on the wall?

Great suggestion, I will add this to my list :)

What about it?
@@EDMTips there is an autofilter in the sub chain, but its settings are not shown. Or maybe I didn't see them? maybe it's not needed at all?)

Nobody gonna talk about how scary that thumbnail is?
Mmm... it sounds too muddy for my taste. Maybe you should resample it to get rid off the reverb tail that overlaps.
You're in trouble if it isn't ;)
Luckily it is! 😆
For beginners this is very difficult to understand.
please make your videos more friendly for beginners.
