Man, nothing better than when you find the tutorial that finally ties together all the other tutorials you've watched. I redid my kick and low end on my newest track based on these suggestions and am sitting in my studio dying laughing from joy. I love that I can move forward on all my future tracks and carry these easy methods with me to find what kind of sound works for what type of track. I was definitely someone who would find a "good enough" kick and bass and then spend ages adding effects and EQ'ing, only to have to come back later and redo it all again. Starting off with strong sounds is absolutely key and got me 95% of the way there before doing any EQ'ing, compression or sidechaining. I was shocked at how good it sounded with no effects on the channels. Thanks so much!
Very true man! The power of simply using the right sounds! So happy my work was helpful!
Brilliant video once again. Learning so much, so quickly. Superb work Happy Producing 👍💪

Really enjoying these videos. Number 6 is really great. It's not something I've ever done before so keen to try it out.
I've only been producing for the past 18 months, but I'm starting to understand that making your music sound better isn't about making one change; it's about implementing small changes all over, which result in an overall increase.
Thank you for sharing 🙏 🙏 very informative
My pleasure!

When you want to pitch your kick back down from the high tuning range the quick octave shortcut is : select the pitch parameter then press shift and down. The pitch will transpose down by an octave. Press again for another octave. No need for a calculator.
I am applying these tips and it's SOO GOOD :D THANK YOU!
Awesome! You’re welcome! :)
Great tip about the low pass on the master channel and pitching up the kick. Def part of y work flow going forward.
BTW I'd love to se your tips on synthesis with Serum and/or any other ninja moves you have. I spend so much time on sound design and I'd rather get tips from you than search the billion other randos who. put up a video so they can show off their demo tape.
Quite useful. Thanks for the video will.
You're welcome, glad it was helpful! 🙂🙌🏻

Love your videos!! So helpful.
I’d love to see some more videos on vocals. I’m struggling with being creative with vocal acapellas and how to do this without being caught for copyright. 🤞🏽 thanks legend
Using vocals and copyrights are different to being creative with them but I have a video on vocals coming up today, so hope you enjoy and find it useful :)
Great videos! I'm very happy I clicked one of your catchy titles :D Although I'm not really creating EDM music, I found your videos extremely useful!

@@EDMTips FYI, I tried to look into your Accelerator course on my cell phone since I’m traveling. Your Typeform questionnaire won’t load properly on Safari or Chrome using iPhone iOS 16.2. I get to the first question and can’t type my answer. I’ll try again when I get home but you should look into it so you’re not losing warm leads.
@@rene.rodriguez Thanks for pointing this our, Rene! This should be fixed now.

@@EDMTips well, im trying to produce phonk music, which seems to be alot less intensive on mastering but im struggling to make it sound just right, i feel like my tracks arent quite hitting the way they should. im hoping by practicing these tricks it might help them to sound better
Love this thanks
Great channel thanks!
Thank you, glad you enjoy it! 🙂
Brilliant this. An easy way of moving up or down an octave is using SHIFT + Up or Down arrow
thanks what a great video , please can you make a video on getting the right volume Level for bass an kick🙏.

Amen Bro! You're the messiah of teaching EDM production!
Appreciate it! 🙌🙏
Great video as always Will.
Thanks for watching!
Hy man, you are the game changer
Awesome tips, you are amazing 😮❤
Thank you! Glad you enjoy 😊
I just learned that you have a mixing guide. Thanks for making it free, most people say “IT’S JUST $10” (for example) but when everyone is charging you $10 (or more) for everything + all the money you just dropped on you new equipment you suddenly start feeling like you won’t be a good producer unless you have a ton of money (which is technically not true, but they really are making it that way)
Cheers, Boris! I understand that in order to produce high quality content you need to invest money so if people decide to charge $10 for a useful piece of content, I can see no problem with that.
However, my mixing guide is totally free for anyone who wants it.
great one thnx a lot bro:)))))
You're welcome, glad you found it helpful! 🙂🙌🏻
This tips are really interesting.
love the eq8 trick on the master, gonna try that one.
A tonal balance control tutorial would be great👍
Duly noted!
Great Job😎
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! 🙂🙌🏻
I think Will is the entire reason why I never finish a track - every week I learn something new and then have to go back and apply these learnings.
Happy to say I haven't made any of the mistakes in this video. 🎉 very helpful information though.
best tuts ever! :D
I usually only watch Logic folk but your videos are great, thanks!
This one helped a lot!
Rock on! Glad it was helpful! 🙂🙌🏻
Anything else in particular you’re struggling with and would like me to cover on the channel?
Your videos are awesome mate 😎 I make hard house and this applies to this genre very well in some aspects too
Absolutely! The techniques I teach can be applied to pretty much ANY genre of music :)
I agree, the kick will effect even the high end! That’s how important the kick is
I used to switch up on semitones just the 808. Good tip thx
Separating the subs from the mids is a great move, why didn't I think of it...
Every day IS a skool day 😉
Excellent video, thanks dude!!
Haha, don't worry, sometimes the simplest ideas are the ones that elude us! Glad you enjoyed the video! 🙂🙌🏻
Thanks!
Hi Will, good video as always!
I just have a question regarding your comment at 14:10. In my notes, I have it down that the sub bass doesn't need to match the shape, because that shape quality already provided for by the mid-bass e.g sub doesn't need to be plucky because the mid is
Fantastic. (Hell Yeah!)
BOOM! 🙌🙌
You can do a Shift+down arrow or Shift+up arrow on your keyboard while a transpose field is selected to skip through octaves (+12 or -12 tones)-a bit quicker method for tuning the kick! Great tips-subscribed!
Love it! Great tip 🤙
Thanks 👍
I can imagine the course will be SENSATIONAL
Cheers!
Thank you!!!!!!
These are the best music production tutorials ever
Thank you so much, I really appreciate kind words of support! 🙂🙌🏻
this is fire!
Appreciate it! 🙌🙏
I think what is very Important too is the Mid/Side Equing especially on the Low End when it comes to the Mastering Process or in the Bass+Kick Bus , a 12dB/Oct Lowcut at arround 150-170 Hz in the Side Signal helps to clean up the Lowend aswell , important to get a Loud Mix and a Lowcut with a 24/36 dB/Oct at arround 30-40 Hz in the Mid Signal makes the Lowend a bit more Solid :) And of Course all Elements which dont are called Bass or Kick with an obligatory Lowcut anyway :)
use vital, send sine wave direct out (not to filter) that makes a great lowend bass tone which is consistent to the bass notes you play, tune it an octave lower than your played notes, use shaperbox to sidechain the sub frequencies, manipulate overtones with the wave editor instead of the filter can also improve /stabilize phase response, always turn off random phase in your plugin.
Amen brother, I am forever grateful for these tips
🙌🙏
