If our needs are to burden God who is never overburdened, what about Galatians 6:2 which says that we are to carry each others' burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ, implying that's how we love others?

My atheist friends are some of the most selfless people I know. They will actually give a panhandler money whereas my Christian friends are so suspect that they won’t give them anything.

Just because it’s in the Bible and you believe it doesn’t make it so for you. And, all attempts to comply with or become like these attributes is a fools game. No amount of human restraint will work...you’ll end up having to lie to yourself and God.
Huey Leadbetter I am very familiar with the rehearsed words. Repent, get wet, and then pray, read your Bible, and go to church where you will learn to be nice. None of those things are of any value if done out of a sense of obligation or fear of hell.

People tell me I am satan and condemn me when I remind them of Jesus Words. It is hard to believe how nasty Christians get when you quote Jesus..anything from His Gospel! It is really hard to understand for people who are supposed to Believe in Jesus..that they could reject Him so harshly.
