Sri Maha Sadhasiva Peedam, based out of Mayiladudhurai, is run by the revered Sri Vidya guru and Shiva upasakar, Sri Swaminatha Sivachariar, who is one the very few Agama Shastra experts in the world today. He also runs the Sivapuram Veda Paatasaala that he started 25 years back. Currently, the veda paatasaala has 50 students who are training under the strict and expert guidance of Sri Swaminatha Sivachariar and his son, Sri Srikanta Sivachariar.
The veda paatasaala and Maha Sadhasiva Peedam has embarked on the holy sankalpam of chanting Rudram 55 times daily, followed by Rudra homam. 55 times is 5 x 11. Sri Parameswara has 5 faces. 11 Rudra parayanams, also known as Ekadasa Rudra parayanam, are dedicated to each of the 5 faces of Sri Parameshwara. This is a very auspicious undertaking to spread auspiciousness around the world and the universe.
