Something that I think is important - a lot of what you're doing would be challenging for the kind of person struggling to finish tracks. It comes with time, and takes practice. The best way to get that is to finish a bunch of songs at your current ability (not try to learn everything to polish your first song to infinity). So just push through til you're at a point of being unsure what else you need, then call it "finished" and move ottn. Do this over and over, and the level at which your track is "finished" will go up over time. If uncomfortable putting out sub-par tracks, then don't release them and maybe come back later. But the number one thing for finishing songs is just putting your phone down and getting to work. Just my opinion!

So true, better getting it finished than perfect. I particularly like the phrasing "until you're at a point of being usure what else you need, then call it finished"

Great video ! It is always interesting to wonder about the creation process through what the others do.
About the list, I would change some stuff :
    - "identify main element in each part" may suit better in the Structure part
    - In the Stucture part, I would add "indicate what level of energy each part has to be in comparaison to the others". It helps to set boundaries to all the parts, so none can be louder than the one that should be the loudest, for example.
    - In the Structure part, "indicate what emotion(s) the audience have to feel / what is the narrative purpose of each part". This sets and clarifies an artistic direction, and will help with the choices to make in the Movement part.
    - I would add a last part named Reviews with "wait few days without listening to it. Then, listen and if something sounds wrong, correct it. If everything's still good, go to the next check box" which is "play your song to some people with an affinity with art/music ; try to understand their feelings about your music ; readapt your song if you have to".
    - And finally, before all these check parts, I would add a check box "be in the right state of mind". In the composition phase, you may want to be wild, to go really far in the expression of your ideas. In the arrangement phase (which correspond to your "Phase 1 : Before the mix"), you need to be really strict with the song.

Thanks a lot for the insightful comment! It definitely makes a lot of sense. I thought about the "what energy level each part should have" but not about the "what emotion each part should evoke". It would help a lot to have a nice "sonic storytelling" for lack of a better word.

I get some heavy nostalgic house vibes. I get waves of cool emotions rolling through my mind. Greetings from HATHOR she loved it.

This is really great. I hoping the #1 means you'll do it for other tracks as well. Also love the track, especially the vocals (your child?).

Yes this will be a series I'll do until I have enough to release an album. For now I'm thinking about 12 songs. Maybe not all of them will need this process but we'll see :) thanks for the rest. The sample are not of a child, but of a woman and a man (me) talking. It's just pitched up all over the place :p
