But what is the auto-filter rack doing because those are some great sounds..

it's filtering...automatically. LOL, to be honest I don't quite remember specifically, but i've been messing a lot with using auto filters before saturation/distortion and it's quite fun to explore the different types of sounds you can get. Lots of fun messing with the circuit types, cranking the resonance, and using the lfo/envelope section. especially doing something like band pass and making the filter quite narrow, reducing the high frequencies, but then slamming it through some saturation. makes for some "cleaner" distorted sounds.

it is built for eq 8 so you can map to each of the freq bands and when you play a note, it will move the freq band to that note. it's free on his gumroad dnksaus.gumroad.com/l/meq8?layout=profile
