mines not making the sound when i break it with shears

If your water starts to flow you need to replace the water, trapdoors, and the lever and don't make your hopper stream until it's duping for more consistency. Or this at least works in my case.

Does the string flow in the direction of south or is the back of the duplicater supposed to point south?
chests are south, water is north
I think that the back of the farm should be south
I broke two shears and it still doesn't work... it only does it a couple of times and the water breaks it

i dont think it works in1.20.2 because i tried so much times and it didnt work
if it doesn't try for u, try to see the lever doing the second flip instead of the sound, worked for me

@@wolfydudegaming5924 the first noise triggers the tripmine to go up simultaneously. the second noise triggers the tripmine to go down simultaneously. i think this is what he meant. press the level exactly when you see the tripmine go down

so i got it too dupelicat. I went from 22 to a stack of 64 and 21. I can't figure out the timing.
It works guys. In the beggining I was having the same issue with it not working, but then I just kept practicing, and practicing. I finally timed it well, and boom! Infinite string

But It dépends which server cus some servers don’t allow this or they patch it

Yeah, I have the same issue in Java 1.20.1. I'm using shears and facing the right direction.
Are you using Forge by chance? I saw somewhere that Forge may affect it, though I don't know if that's true.
you're probably using forge! i had the exact same issue using forge, loaded the world without forge and it worked perfectly well

I can get it to dupe the 2 but not keep going. i tried on sp and works good but on a server doesnt. any reason for this?
I'm pretty sure you built it facing the wrong direction. I also had this problem but when I made the water flow south it fixed it.
some servers use paper mc as their software. So there are other complex string dupers which are less efficient.

You can make unlimited layers of this farm but remember to make the layers on the top of each other don't make it on left or right side

If they don't say anything or just minecraft, it's literally about Java. If it's in bedrock, they will put bedrock in it.

Unfortunately it doesn't work with forge, but if you make it in normal Minecraft then load te world in forge it works.
a much easier way I just found out is that you can place the string and then straight away flip the lever. this will duplicate 1 string at a time, but if it is too hard for you the other way, try this way.

yeah like on my friends paper server it has no anti duping plugins or anything like i do it and it gives me extra string but it doesnt go auto, it works on my creative world just not on a paper server idkk

It works good in survival, but when I try doing it in a server it doesn't work.
no offense but i dont really know how youd expect it to work on servers when its a literal duplication glitch ... no server owner would let anyone produce 1m+ string an hour for a build that takes 5 mins to do after starting
@@TDRpasta The person didn't state, but maybe it is their server. I have a server and I self-allow these builds because I am the one controlling them. But yes. Maybe being on a server belonging to someone else would be an issue...
@@diggyrock3054 ye I just figured since his channel is on public servers then it was more than likely on public servers and since most people don’t own servers (I personally just use essential mod)

The server may have some restrictions over duping. As you know, duping is a huge glitch which most servers are likely to prevent.
I found the issue already it was the server tick rate

@@vex100 it's possible just requires precise timing, Make sure the server is not overloaded and is running up to date and you should get it eventually!

It does work, but it works with the official 1.20 launcher. I tried it on Forge and it didn't work, but once I tried it on the official 1.20 installation, it worked just fine on the first try.
