Looks like you got yourself a real little bargain of a gem here Derek. Thanks for sharing the update, it's great to see you had very little work to be done to an 11 year old EV. When you have the Ladybug restored to its original glory will you have her on display at the Nevo Electric Vehicle Show in November it would be great to see such a rare EV?
I love the coverage of how to live with a car, and this clip does that. No matter if there was a bit of advertising as the bills have to be paid. To put this together with your coast to coast series, I am getting something genuinely useful which I do not on other channels. More please.
Great to see how little rust is on it.
Consider a three stage paint correction and a ceramic coating instead of a respray. Same place can also do the detailing. Plenty of good places within Dublin. It’s a small car so that will be in your favour for the price.
Have often considered this job on my own EV so would be interesting content for all owners.
As a DIY (dangerously incompentetent yob) I love this type of video. Great to see the lack of wear on the brakes and the clean underside. You are luckey to have so little rust on a UK car. A friend has a uk import and it is not a pretty sight underneath. Interested to see the price of the windscreen.
Please keep the updates comming.

Went with a cash payment for the Windscreen instead of through the insurance. Price was €391
Good to know that it doesn't have much rust underneath, these kei cars are known to rot on the saltiest of UK's roads
I'm very lucky by the sounds of things
Kiwi EV channel has a video showing how to replace the gear selector cover with the Mitsubishi version which enables the braking and coasting modes . ☮️ 3:01

Thanks Derek, may the ladybug give you many years or reliable motoring.
Still miss my one. Great car. Just thinking… are you paying customs duty on the windscreen from the UK? If Peugeot could develop contacts in France, you could probably get the windscreen from there without paying customs duty. Really surprised Peugeot Ireland is still getting parts from the UK. It is a French. car. (Well, rebadged Mitsubishi, but you know what I mean).
Unlikely it’s a Peugeot supplied windscreen and more likely aftermarket with Autoglass or similar
Nice to see the update, maybe for us non ev owners a followup video on the differences with the NCT ? What range are you seeing with this now?
Around 60km at the moment. NCT got pushed as the windscreen that came in front the UK broke before it got to me so had to reschedule
Give the bearings a good greasing and transmission an oil change and hopefully that'll improve efficiency.
Only other way is to habitually slow charge from 80% for the onboard cell balancing to engage but may take weeks or months of charging to gradually balance the voltage
Waiting for the c2c!
how about some Nio and Xpeng for the Nevo electric show please? not to mention Lucid
👍
Beat drive are a joke. They wanted to charge me €100 more for tracking of my wife’s ev over a normal petrol car which was €60 and my wife’s electric has the same setup as a clio in respect to a Zoe. Poor service from them & when I questioned them on it they had no answer
Hello mate
Afternoon
Handy runabout but it’s probably hard to justify spending cash on the paintwork of an 11 year old budget EV with such a tiny HV battery
Respray or wrap??? 🤔
Leaning towards a respray in the original colour 1st. Can always wrap next year for a change
@@NevoEVReviewIrelandIt’s red - just needs a T-Cut and a good polish after that. Should be no need for an expensive and unnecessary respray ? Unless there’s a good reason for a respray ? Those Scratches, sure, yes, a touch up paint. Doesn’t look like any paint is lifting? Just faded - that red usually does, in the sun. The environmentally conscious remedy, to me anyway (!), is, cutting compound (like, a T-Cut), (maybe, clay bar if you really want it to zing) , and a good quality polish. Dot!
Or Red Colour Cut from Halfords or a local Motor Factors, to test out. Indeed, you might be more than happy with a Colour Cut and a quick polish after!
