- Former Victorian Liberal Party president Michael Kroger says he “can’t help thinking this whole renewable debate is like running into a fog”.
“The coal fire power stations are evil but no we need them,” Mr Kroger told Sky News host Paul Murray.
"It is just all a fog this debate.”
We worked hard and saved. The panel is absolutely right. We had two mortgages of over 14%.
I'm a BB born 1950, and I had some small inheritance, but we made sure there was a roof, food, health, and education was provided by working hard. We made sure there were holidays and extracurricular activities to expand their horizons. As we climb towards 80 and hopefully 90, we are spending on ourselves and our family to enjoy life. We have just redone our wills to provide for our son and grandsons once we have celebrated our last birthday. And YES, we are enjoying our lives with travel.

@@derekmottley3656Actually though, like many other Australians, yes I once was a union member, I didn't vote for either the ALP/Greens or the Coalition last election.
IF I had no other choice, I'd probably reluctantly vote for my local Liberal candidate.
The Coalition isn't now very different from the ALP and you'll see many comments here reflecting that sad fact.
I agree they're the lesser of two weevils but when they're in power, the cowardice, insanity and waste inevitably continue.

Nuclear energy is a necessity in Australia's energy profile to sustain a reliable clean base load service .. any idiot claiming otherwise and supporting solar and wind only is simply supporting an agenda which is not a local one ... then again Labor has ignored Australians and their specific needs long enough .. vote all Labor out everywhere and forever and get the country back on track.

Children's mental health decline is blamed on social media. The real cause is government propaganda which tells them they have no identity, that their country is illegitimate and they should hate it, and that there is no future for them, because humans have destroyed the planet.

Why don't you report the fact that the New Digital ID legislation has passed in Parliament and will now become Law ?
It won't be mandatory if the majority of people refuse it.

I always wonder who does the poll, most of us baby boomers are giving money and help to our kids!! And our grandkids. Putting money away for them helping them pay bills or buy food and clothes to help their budget. Don’t think I believe that poll.

Maybe the Singapore model of the waste collection to energy would be worth looking at a possibility for cheap electricity and cutting down on landfill and cutting collection fees on council rates
So with a population of 70 million persons that uses gas to produce 53% of its electricity why is Australia not using its abundant gas like Thailand?

I have solar panels on the roof of my house and they are fantastic and generate five times more electricity that we consume, and we get paid for exporting that electricity and never pay a power bill.
Australia will be 100% net zero by 2030 at the present rate of progress.
