I bought my Boop Redux in forest green. Such a nice color shade! I paired it up with PBTfans Kabuki-cho and Baby Kangaroo switches on FR4 plate. I'm loving it so far!
Would love to see custom keyboard with Hall Effect switches and PCB . Not just few ones like the keychron one but a lot of them, for example the Neo Ergo with HE would be DOPE!
Personally, I would recommend avoiding zoom. I have had many significant account issues with them (dead pcbs, not including components, issues with stabilized interference, and more) and the product they delivered felt low quality even despite those issues.
I love this pcb ^_^ but I think boop v1 is better design very gorgeous side profile case. this both Didn't give a good experience typing or sound but if you have keyboard 3++ why you care about typing or sound. 😀
hotswap has a shorter life span, is easily damageable by unexperienced builders and does not provide stability for switches with imperfect tolerances. it will never replace solder, it wil just coexist as option for beginners
@@mikerzisu9508 bend a switch pin, push the switch in too hard, rip the socket and the pad. and you'll need to solder to wire jump the switch. I've lost count of the times I've seen that happen to new people

This isn't "budget". If I'm spending this much on a keyboard, I'm expecting quality. This is more than the Neo Ergo and less than the Mode Sixtyfive, but close. Do they both sound budget?
@@jenzo42 dude, board is 250. literally budget. are there better designed boards? sure, but that does not mean this segment is anywhere near the higher end

Love your playful explanation of the gripes. Your cinematography is spot on.
I thought we were about to get the dooq
LOL I’m dead 😵
I remember really liking this board back in 2021. I still like the design language until now! The packaging is really nice too.
I’m loving this build. Looks super nice
what a spacebar !!! sounds great gotta buy one
sounds like TGR tomo's spacebar
spacebar sounds sooo good.
Love those mecha kaiju keycaps!!! I have them too for my wooting.
Gotta ask what is the wool and cork matts you use for under the keyboard?
Does tightening the top screws affect sound in any way?
did you have any issues with the board shorting ?
what do you think about the sessantacinque alex?
2:46 If there are no diodes on the PCB, I would guess that the "bigger diodes" are shift registers (or possibly i/o expanders).
I spat out my drink from that intro LOL😂
Whats the bright orange power cable you're using?
It's from Ordinary Labs

this gonna be my first custom keyboard and i wanted to ask will this come with stabilizers? or will i have to buy my own?
No stabs unfortunately :(
@@Redino20 noooooo but thankfully i bought some just in case. im so nervous for this. i been looking at guides for the past few days now.
@@sleeplessnight5238 it’s gonna be a blast! Nothing more exciting in the hobby than building for the first time :D
I think this is a great first board! I hope you enjoy your first build and don't sweat it!
@@nobody-bt7mu Thanks can’t wait to put it all together. some of my parts are coming in tomorrow. 😁
I think the Helleboros keycap would look sick if the accents were white instead of pink
Waiting for the zoom65 v3 review to either buy that or the boop. Zoom65 is winning on options for me though.

That ain't the boop, that's the dooq.
packaging was nice

I love the style of the case! However the current assembly sounds wayyyy too hollow for my liking.
Love your vids Alex!!
Thanks for watching! Totally get your sentiment on sound profile here and thank you for the kind words
boop-a-doop.
I've yet to dislike anything with biip's name attached to it
Literally me

they got rid of the only thing that the og boop did right: the stepped bottom. looking kinda mid
Boop beep haha 😂
Hot swap just makes more sense. It is easier on the builder, gives much more variety and less prone to error. I hope everything goes to hot swap

bruh what this sounds insane lol sounds nothing like budget
I would consider this board budget, maybe approaching a liitttle bit on mid-range .
