- Hot days call for ice cream, but what if it was ketchup-flavored? The Ice Cream Project in London takes the foods and condiments we would usually see in our pantries and turns them into cold, sweet treats. Don’t come looking for chocolate and vanilla. Hannah Wearne of the Ice Cream Project said, “We have flavors like Heinz Baked Beans, mayo, ketchup, we also have Quaker Rolled Oats, PG Tips, all of the fun things that you usually get in your store cupboard.”
This looks more like something you would use to prank your friends than an actual food.
Now you sir just got them a sale
Yeah
Exactly, this is disgusting
I agree.
That’s a billionaire idea
that's just nasty! 🤣 but the rolled oats and tea one sounds interesting to try
If you like tea then try a tea ice cream. Earl grey is amazing. Perfect for summer
ew gets me corky inside
Tea ice cream in general is pretty good. I actually think any of these flavors could be done well if executed properly.
Mmm rolled oats and tea ice cream is so good bruh
There is an oatmeal ice cream that is very good. It is also flavored with molasses and cinnamon
This is a great example of just because you can doesn't mean you should
Can’t say that without trying it cuz you’ll just never know lol
@@peterrogers7800 I think I'm good
Giving very much: “Why would you do that??” 🥺
LMAO 😭😭😭
@@britbrat1127 do what
I'd do the black tea and oatmeal, but not the others
@Duffelbag Drag I heard not long ago there was mac and cheese flavored ice cream
most intelligent people would not be grossed out by the black tea and oats. But the mayo is for mentally ill people.
Yeah, I've had tea ice cream and it is very good.
@@foodplayzgames a local Chinese restaurant used to carry green tea ice cream, it was pretty good
@@PsychHyperfocus Green tea is actually very common where I live. A lot of people like green tea ice cream or shaved ice. I'm not surprised if there is boba ice cream (popsicle form exists), oolong tea, jasmine tea, black tea, and rose tea.
If you ever go to NYC, there's an ice cream place where they sell pandan ice cream, and it is really good.
EDIT: Ube ice cream, earl grey ice cream, black sesame, and taro ice cream exists too.
The only one I’d try is oatmeal because it’d probably still be sweeter than the rest
They have Lyles Golden Syrup. That is made from pure sugar so that one would be the best choice for you if you want something sweet.
Me too, maybe the tea flavored one as well
Not even a chance I won't try taste these odd ice cream flavors, I'll stick to my regular sweet ice cream 🍨🍦
Same
Same
I would try the ketchup one lol
Preach it Mr. M!
Not a chance you won't try?
I love how everyones focusing on the mayo and the ketchup, but when she said they have Quaker Rolled Oats ice cream, my mouth started watering
In Mexico they make these delicious handmade fruit flavored ice cream (my favorite is green lime) nothing compared to this but I thought it also deserved a minute special.
That sounds delicious!
I love your tequila ice cream and yes, i tried green lime too . It was good
Yummy
That sounds so good!
I like the guanabana one
The black tea one sounds good!
Considering they already make green tea ice cream, I'd agree
@@nate6045 I need to find that!
@@amberclark3821 I've had matcha green tea ice cream at a korean restaurant, I recommend it! Even tho I don't enjoy matcha too much, the ice cream had a soft flavor :)
In the US there's a brand that makes earl grey ice cream and it's delicous!
@@amberclark3821 you can find green tea ice cream at Asian food markets and whole foods.
Would I try it once? Yes. Would I eat if regularly? No.
I've had oatmeal ice cream and a green tea ice cream and they were both really good. The oatmeal was an oatmeal cream 😋
(Read in fancy news anchor voice)
With everything from condiments to creamery, this parlor in London is gracing its customer base with uniquely familiar flavors never before seen by many commoners and foreigners alike.
Lol🤣 I literally read that in a newscaster voice 😄
I could only imagine testing the oatmeal one but that’s it.
The tea one sounds amazing. It also sounds like a rough night later on but hey it’s worth a sample.
Well ketchup is just basically sugar.
There is always a market for everything. I even seen garlic ice cream. 😆
i still remenber when salt in caramel was seen as too weird and absurd in my home town, i personally am not entusiastic about this flavours, but ketchup is mostly sugar and tomato is actually a fruit and ive eaten it in jam form, so... maybe this will be a new normal someday just like salted caramel eventually did
This is the comment I was looking for. Thanks for having an open mind.
@@christ5849 there is such thing as being too opened minded
The cool thing is mayo ice cream is essentially just a custard with a bit of oil
Bit of oil? My arm started getting weak beating in the never ending oil supply. Like sauce hollandais.
Or my memory is playing tricks on me.
What's next? Green relish ice cream?? 😖🤮
as much as i love ketchup, this should be illegal😂
@@peep4257 i’m sick even thinking about it. let us know how it is though! lol
I might consider trying out those ice cream flavors, even if I had them on a hot dog and a side of fries.
Some folks dip fries in vanilla ice cream... So hey?
The rolled oats sounds good maybe the custard and the Frosted Flakes looks really and the coco puffs
That is absolutely disgusting, nobody eats ketchup or mayonnaise when it’s alone, so you bet nobody will like it in ice cream.
I get a kick out of trying oddball foods, so this would be right up my alley. That said, as a mustard fan, I'm insulted.
That sounds worse than the others
Oooh mustard could be good
I hear you. Heinz will make ketchup and mayo but not mustard? I think I even saw a relish one there. No respect
@@edd868
Heinz makes mustard. actually have some leftover packets, but I'm not going to post a video for it. I find them at gas station and Publix here in Florida
@@shac9131 you mean the ice cream? I was referring to the ice cream....
Don't knock it until you try it 🤣
I’d try it at least once! I tried shrimp and crab ice cream in a small fishing town in Japan once. It actually wasn’t that bad!
Wow
Some people just want to watch the world burn 😅
Since we on the topic, what’s y’all favorite ice cream?
I personally like plain vanilla. No sprinkles. No nuts. Just plain
@Duffelbag Drag oh HELL YEEEAH
Butter pecan & rocky road for me!
Chocolate moose tracks! Or anything Ben & Jerry's.
Green tea all the way for me.
This is like the frozen food equivalent to those "scratch n sniff" stickers of my youth with some flavours you love and some that will make you gag.
I would 100% try them, They had Mac & Cheese Soft Ice cream at Edmonton K Days this year & it was very good. I had it 3 times
I’ll pass on it 😛
i want to try the salad cream. that’s my go to sauce for salads.
Sounds like a terrible combination, so I would definitely not try this. It honestly sounds disgusting.
" If it's ice cream, im eating it "
So this is the news we should be getting lol.. disgusting flavors .
I would try neither one, but if I was held gun point I’d have to go with the ketchup because me personally, I don’t like ketchup but from from my past trying it, I do know that it’s sweet, so I’d go with ketchup if I was held gun point. 😂😂😂
I love ketchup chips, so I would give them a try
Some people have different opinion on it. Myself, I am curious to try it.
This is why they should only make vanilla and chocolate ice cream someone always has to go overboard.
Chocolate icecream? You're insane. That's a bridge too far. Adding vanilla beans/essence is already close to the edge. Madman!!!
I like cookies and cream , peanut butter and chocolate, so I can't agree with only making cheese and vanilla sorry but that's just too boring
You gotta get that peanut butter party, or bunny traxx.
But then there's Asians with green tea ice cream, red bean ice cream, earl grey, taro, ube, pandan, black sesame, etc.
20th century: we will have flying cars
2024:
How about no
Absolutely not 😭
Probably would eat the mayo. I'm the same person that puts mayo on bread and calls that a 'meal' and also just eats it straight out the jar. Same with sour cream too.
U eat mayo right outta the jar?.. dang bro that takes skill right there
That is the most disgusting thing ive ever heard
I do that with ranch
@@maxh4651 more disgusting, then two men sleeping with each other?
@@The__Nation 🤫
Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.
0:54 Would definitely try Oatmeal and POLO flavor.
Van Leeuwen has *Mac* *and* *Cheese* ice cream and it sounds worth trying. 🤤
Wow imagine that and I thought pistachio was weird enough😂🤣😂🤣
Now we just need mustard
Ice cream, you scream, we all scream *NO!*
"Chill bro it's just cherry ice cream"
i'd be open to trying the oats and black tea one
The frosted flakes look good
I tried the coco pops it’s not bad
Oatmeal ice cream sounds good.
Black tea ice cream is good. I don't mean from this store, I haven't had theirs, but black tea ice cream as a concept has existed for a while in Asian countries. It's delicious.
Do they come with mustard filled chocolates on the side
What?!😲 I'm not ready to try these new flavours but it is creative🎉
They Have This At The CNE this year
Kellogg's coco pop plus Kellogg's Frosties and maybe Quaker rolled oats i can understand but every other flavors, ketchup, baked beans, mayo, who's bright idea was this???
The PG Tips ice cream sounds decent. It's just black tea ice cream. I had an Earl Grey Peach ice cream in Berlin and it was amazing. The shop is owned by someone who had her apprenticeship in France.
Well for Canadians the KECHUP IS WANTED
the pg tips one actually sounds nice
The only one I would try is polo and salad cream because I literally love salad cream, have it on pizza, lasagna, spaghetti, burgers, Chinese food etc
soon they will be sold in tesco
This a hit
I would probably try them just for the experience.
Making beans an ice cream flavor is the most british thing ive heard of
Mmm the PG Tips black tea I would definitely try
I’d try oatmeal
This Ice Cream flavors just represent what British Food tastes like.
I WOULD DO IT FOR MY SOUL!!!
That depends on the flavor of the ice cream. It would be good maple syrup flavored ice cream. I had maple syrup over vanilla ice cream when I was a kid. It wasn’t bad at all. When I was little that I liked Carmel Sundaes so my mother used maple syrup on the ice cream. It was a little bit different but, really good, too.
It's kinda creative if you think of it. This ice cream is unique in a way
Try one with ketchup , mayo , chili sauce, vinegar, paprika , tomato juice , cabbage , and broccoli all mixed into one ice cream.
I don’t even like ketchup, why would I like ketchup flavored ice cream?
They probably got Marlboro Ice Cream in the back somewhere
Goodbye Earth, I am finished with you now.
Spongebob’s sundae in real life
What about mustard flavoured?
black tea and oat actually sound good!
Birds custard ice cream sounds elite
i want to eat ketchup ice cream now
Maybe I would try the oatmeal but that's it
Sauces that taste sweet might suit being ice cream. Definitely not for savoury lol
when the spicy ice cream prank from the cartoons comes to life
Oooh, I want some mayonnaise cream😂 💀
I would like the mayonaise ice cream and i saw something about a rolles oats ice cream....that sounds yummy
In The Philippines they have ice cream flavors like Cheese and Avocado
The answer is NO and you know that before you asked the question!
Doesnt hurt to try new things , doesnt mean you have to like it after. Open your minds people, everything was new to you at one point in life. I would give it a shot. 🤷🏾♂️
I’ve had some jasmine tea ice cream that was amazing
I would probably give mayo flavor a try without gagging.
Looks like mayonnaise can be an ice cream, yet it's still not an instrument.
the tea one sounds good
I would DEFINETLY try the black tea that sounds good
I would like to taste Tea ice cream...
the best way to dip fries in ice cream
Nothing s Better than vanilla ❤️
"Can I have mayonnaise?"
"No you can have mayonnaise icecream"
They sale grey poupon mustard ice cream at Walmart, it's really good
