I don't use the audio from the video capture device. I record directly to my computer and sync the audio later with the video through a video editing program. No audio is used from my video camera.
I’m confused if it’s dropped C# but the bottom string is typically a B (I see it’s a five string) are you saying that the E is c# and the B string is a step and a half down as well or did you just leave it be (no pun intended)

how do you record. can you share some tips please? when I try and record a cover with my phone or camcorder by bass is barely audible.

any particular tools or software you use to record to your computer, do you use studio monitors? sorry I'm just trying to gather info and learn.
I use Avid Pro Tools, but this can easily be accomplished with any recording software like GarageBand or Reaper.
