I purchased the pew view and I’ve been waiting for mine since December and was told I’d have it at the end of February. I’ve also seen lot of issues with them at the beginning and it seemed to get better that as of late all the ones that are being put out seem to have a lot of issues. I’ve seen everything from the screws on the grip being lose to safety’s not working and hammers not dropping but I have to be fair and say I’ve heard that they are great to work with customer service wise and have a great warranty and take it and fix it no questions asked
I ended changing my mind on mine due to all of the issues, might was we'll get an XC lol was super excited before the waiting and seeing the issues. Hope you like it when you get yours though!
Ya man, I'm disappointed to see all these normal apaches out when I still haven't received my pew view edition. Especially with the email of material shortages. I purchased mine on Nov 3rd, and it still says awaiting shipment. It's going on 3 months now of awaiting shipment.
Please do the VS video. Im looking for a new higher-end pistol for IDPA. So far the XC and the MPA DS9 are two that ive come up with.. Compensated VS 6 V Ports
2:58 I've wondered the performance difference in these comps as well, like your saying there's a threaded comp, a barrel/comp in one piece, and the integrated compensator with SIG where the barrel ends before the comp. Probably not much to notice performance wise but I suppose easier maintenance on the pistol itself with a comp has some warrants unless you plan on bore snaking most of the time. I could only imagine what that WT is like, probably hard not to shoot anything else!
From a manufacturing standpoint, the threaded comp would be to save cost. Since it glides on the frame it shouldn't back out. Theoretically, there shouldn't be a difference in performance from a solid comped barrel.
I want this as my DS 1911 I haven’t found another company to compete with there price for what you get besides legion precision giving you a vault case 3 mags and a SRO for $4500. And idk what the Apache comes with but it’s $3,995 msrp. So there close but I feel like watchtower tops them as well with the comp cuz I don’t think legion makes a comp model only ported I believe.
Hey bro not sure if u read these but just wanted to tell you I think ur one of the coolest dudes to walk on planet earth , I day dream often of living ur life Hope ur doing well Have a great day bro and thank you for posting this amazing content
@@liftit22 I understand that but they have been saying that for 4 months now and they are producing the non pew view version and sending that out. How about take care of the clients that have already paid before you move on to the next version.
@dallasroberts6932 exactly, material shortages, but you can send out normal apaches. I purchased mine November 3rd and it's been awaiting shipment for 3 months now. When you email them they say it coming your batch is next to ship..... which at this point I really doubt cause normal apaches are shipping.
I was 1 of the lucky ones that didn’t have to wait for the Apache. Mine was riddled with issues. Hundreds of us got an abysmal 3D printed grip. Not that nicer MJD grip. Others had to pay to have their grips swapped to the MJD by watchtower. It’s not a great gun and I think watchtower are cons
Dope. Thanks for making me feel justified in spending half that building each of my P226, P229, M&P, and so forth all to peak level performance that would rival this and other Gucci Firearms.
i was gonna pick up a staccato xc, but decided to preorder the apache when my ffl was approved to be one of their dealer for watchtower. cant wait for mine !!
Waiting on Watchtower for a response. But since you have one, maybe you can tell me. Is the comp supposed to be loose? If I thread it on snug, it won’t line up and won’t go into battery when reassembled. When threaded on loose and when assembled, the recoil spring holds it snug, but you can still wiggle it. Thoughts?

MJD Solutions makes their grips now. Better than the 3D printed one they went with originally.
beautiful unit

This will be a great video for me to make! Get all different types of compensated guns and see if there’s actually a huge difference between them. 🤔

Awesome video. Love the channel.
But what's the point of this rig besides a safe queen?
Some people like safe queens but the main purpose of this is to compete with it. 😎 thank you for the kind words man! Glad you enjoyed it!

Legion doesn’t have the superior DLC and PVD coatings
Legion uses cerakote which isn’t anywhere near as nice

XC or Watch Apache? im in the market
I just can’t pay $4000 for a threaded barrel comp.
Ordered the pew view version early December. Still have not received it. Starting to get frustrated. Initially said delivery would be 3 months.
Oh dang! Did you reach out and did they give you a update? 🤔
@@thegatmann they are sending out mass emails saying that they are coming.
I called last monday and they said they had some supply chain issues

I have the pewview one. and no its not a gucci double stack 1911 lol its kind of insanely disappointing. just buy the XC.
Sorry to hear that man 😢
I’d rather just get a stealth arms platypus

Doubt any of those are outperforming a quality 2011 but ok
@@alexm5656 I didn’t say outperforming but I will say on par. As accurate as fast and as flat shooting.

Jehovahs Witness designed a gun ?!
Compare it to your black Beard Beretta and I think we'll get picture!!!
just another double stack 1911
This company will be out of business in less than 2 years,, watch.
Just out of curiosity, why do you say that? I’m assuming the price point of these?
