I haven't been able to find that video, sadly. About the only direct comparison I can make is his studio album (Bass*c Cello Notes) compared to Mikyung's (The Colburn Sessions, on which she only played the 3rd movement). I've always felt Catalin Rotaru is one of the bassists whose interpretations are closest to how Mikyung plays (of course he was doing it first). Catalin's recording (ruclips.net/video/BEXoT05IA3s/видео.html) is very beautiful, but Mikyung's is, to me, more colorful, more expressive, more soulful, and more intense (ruclips.net/video/GjOs9jD0HX8/видео.html).
I've never thought double bass can reach those high note, what a amazing performance.

For the most part she plays as in tune as most cellists would play it - hard to do on bass. I really appreciate this pianist, really musical.
