Great performance! My congratulations to this wonderful enlightened interpretation! Your instruments sound phenomenal, too!!! Love and peace on earth!!! Wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart!!!
¡ Hombre !
Bravo Ismael for the excellent work. I saw that your lowest A string is metal would and I have a question. I am gonna put a viennese gut string set on my baroque bass. Do you think that I should privilege a metal wound A instead of plain gut? Thank you for your answer
Thanks for your comment! I think it's a very personal choice. In my case, I normally love the plain gut A, but playing this concerto I feel that I need that extra resonance that only metal wound string can give. In any case I almost don't need that string for Vanhal concerto, so it's not very important! You could think what kind of music would you like to play with that set up. In my case, I find the plain gut with stronger personality and definition, but less resonant and more tricky. Thanks again for the comment and good luck!
No. Because the strings back then were very FAT. They tended to tune one semitone higher, making the concerto E flat Major. The bass can really cut through.
Ive heard you Vanhal concerto and Its trash and slow as a grandma would play it. and you seem like 40 years old. you cant play for shit.@@barronweir123

@@ismaelcampaneronieto7596 Thank you so much for your answer! Good to know that it remains a pretty open choice. I'll experiment then :)
How does a Baroque bow feel in comparison to a more modern bow that has a curve going inwards?
It's a very personal preference, I can sing more easily the phrasing that I feel with that bow. And it's also very light!
Thanks for the comment
Thanks for answering!@@ismaelcampaneronieto7596
Das ist sicher für Violoncello geschrieben, weil das vielleicht für den Kontrabass als Meldieinstrument etwas zu schwerfällig ist.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why are u using your bass as a punching bag?
Because of the strings. You have to work a lot harder to make sound and you can't be too gentle.
@@lowbassdude1987it’s sarcastic dumbass
wie kann man solche sch...zusammen spielen?
Can I dislike this twice?
You can be Deaf twice.
@@santiagobenitez1388 I would prefer that instead of hearing most bass players. Also can I be blind so I don't have to see how dumb it looks too?
What are you even talking about dude. LOL@@barronweir123
