    What do you think of the C-HR? This Limited trim and other features are new for 2019! Would you take this or the 2019 Corolla Hatchback? Thanks for watching !

    My 2012 Corolla was sluggish and a spongy ride. I bought the 2018 C-HR and love it. I've taken several day trips, and find it comfortable to drive. On the highway I've averaged 36 mpg.

    Thanks for the detailed review. I love this car so much I bought one! I just bought a 2019 2 tone C HR XLE. The car has AMAZING safety features which was a big deciding factor for me to keep my family safe. I love the blind spot monitor and it scored a perfect NHTSA 5 star overall safety rating. In addition to the great looks, great handling, safety features, and legendary Toyota quality what people fail to mention are the optional Toyota TRD performance parts available right from the dealer. I just ordered a TRD Air Intake kit to increase the horsepower and torque and later I will get the TRD Lowering Springs to further improve the handling. My wife really likes the higher riding position of this car especially compared other modern sedans like a Nissan Altima we rented. I also wished there were dedicated buttons for the different drive modes as well as having vent for the rear seats. Other than that my family and I really love this car. Bravo Toyota. Bravo.

      @@morganjones5849 it would depend on your insurance company/ time you've had your insurance and driving record "claims if any". We bought the 2019 C-HR XLE Blue Eclipse Metallic color one. Not entirely sure on the breakdown of insurance per vehicle we have, but it's about 165$ per month. "In Wisconsin" That's full coverage "2 Drivers" on our 2011 Sienna, 2013 Polaris Ranger UTV and the 2019 C-HR. 500$ deductable standard plan through USAA. But everyone's situation will vary.

      I've had my 2019 limited white with a black roof since September and I love it. No it's not quick oh, but it's better in sport mode. But it's the perfect size for the city and traffic and it's very maneuverable with a short turn Circle.

    I have had my 2019 C-HR for almost 3 months, and I love it! It is true that acceleration is slow off the line, and the window in the backseat is small, but merging hasn't been a problem, and I rarely have anyone in the backseat. I love the edgy looks and it's really fun to drive.

    I currently have a 2018 C-HR XLE and stopped by my local Toyota dealership today just wanting to check out the 2019 C-HR's. Ended up putting a down payment for a 2019 XLE Blizzard Pearl with Black Roof. I felt paying the difference for the 2019 XLE was worth it with the new features added for not much more cost than what I paid for my 2018 XLE.

    It definitely needs that new dynamic force engine found in the new Corolla's. I'm intrigued by this vehicle and like the sporty styling. If they make changes to the engine and make it more powerful I'll think about getting one also, they should just move the rear door handle in its normal position instead of up high, and extend the rear glass a little it would be really nice. The ton of standard safety stuff is definitely a plus as competitors charge extra. Looks like a good vehicle, but can be great if some changes are made.

    • @PrimeAutotainment

    I’ve been waiting for this one!! Thanks for the great review. Stick a set of LED headlights to match the front and its premium. I gotta day the style is pretty “loud” which is not my style. Perhaps a less polarizing rest would make it perfect for me, but I don’t think I will enjoy walking towards that trunk. Leather and Apple CarPlay were the missing pieces.. great job on Toyota.
    Also, I’ve noticed you are taking queues from the big guys. Changing the review process. I think it’s coming out well. Think of redline and Alex’s autos. They are both unique, in the sense they cater to a different style. There will be more ch-r reviews. But think of how you will differentiate yourself. I think you are great to listen to and I’m sure you’ll continue to improve your style. Keep working at it! If you see any old videos from the big guys sitting at 500k+ subs, you can tell everyone took several years to refine their style.

    • @PrimeAutotainment
      @PrimeAutotainment  6 лет назад +2

      Thanks for watching! I agree on the loud styling.... a little out there for me but a lot of people seem to like it. For sure with the leather and CarPlay, it felt more premium than the 2018 model I recently saw.
      Thanks for noticing! I do little experiments I. Each video and go from there. Still trying to figure out how I want to do things and I sort of want to keep a predictable layout but mix some things up sometimes in how it’s presented. Any recommendations are welcome too! Thanks for the support 👍

    Exterior styling reminds me of a layer cake with different designers for each layer. Looks like an adequate city car with some suburban driving mixed in. And for those for whom driving means getting from point A to point B with as little drama as possible, it's probably appealing. Add in the Toyota's well known reliability and it will fill out the choices on the dealer lot.

    • @PrimeAutotainment

    Hey Nolan! Nice to see you do a follow up video of the 2019 to go with your video of the 2018. Good and thorough review man. It’s nice to see Toyota make some improvements after just one year. I like the fact that you can get the leather now. Still wish they would offer a sunroof and LED head lamps. Maybe just me, but I can’t stand seeing a car on the road with halogen head lamps and LED fog lamps....it’s just weird. Overall, I think I would go with Corolla XSE hatchback over this. I still have an issue with the rear door set up on this and you can get a manual transmission on the Corolla which I hear is quite good. Oh and since you mentioned the headrest....so many newer cars have headrests that are positioned so far forward. It can be so uncomfortable. All Subaru’s (and some others) have headrests that can be adjusted up and down and can be tilted forwards and backwards. It was very easy for me to find a comfortable position in my Legacy. Wonder why more manufacturers don’t include these adjustable headrests.?.

    • @PrimeAutotainment
      @PrimeAutotainment  6 лет назад +1

      Thanks man! I was surprised they sent this considering I recently had the other one but I guess since they made changes lol. Totally agree on the sunroof and headlights...bugs me too lol.
      I’m with you on the Corolla XSE hatch too...it seems like a nice ride and yes that manual, I’m hoping I get that if they let me see one.
      Seriously though the headrests...that’s fantastic Subaru does this. I don’t get it but hopefully others follow suit. Thanks for watching! 👍

    I have the 2018 C-HR red body white top. I love it, it's really fun to drive. Definitely maneuvers well with turning and weaving into traffic. I actually like the merge into traffic speed it really picks up to me lol. But, I'm a fast driver I like to pretend I'm in a race car. The 2019 version has a lot of the features I originally wanted in the 2018 version but my color is unique so I'm hesitant to do a trade in. Great review by the way! I really like the design and looks of this vehicle! The smaller size and the not so powerful engine are the only things that are holding it back and I don't think Toyota is gonna improve on those because nobody would buy their RAV4s, Lexus sub-compacts, etc. anymore. They'll just buy this one instead...

    • @PrimeAutotainment

      Good point! I agree with you and wish they could offer a bit more especially in the engine power aspect. There’s always the give and take with the car companies, still a nice vehicle overall. I’d personally go for the new RAV4 and spend the extra over this.

      Destiny Ajiboye not really. All trims get 6 speakers which isn’t bad but there’s not much for bass. To me, it could be better but you’d have to check it out and see what you think 👍

      Yeah it’s a bummer. It’s fine in town but I do a lot of highway driving/merging from on ramps etc and it was sluggish getting up to those speeds and trying to pass on a 2 lane highway. Maybe try one for yourself but just my opinion

      Thanks, Natalie! I know the Honda HR-V, Nissan Kicks & Hyundai Kona all offer the dynamic guidelines. The HR-V has multiple viewing angles while the Kicks has a 360 (top down) view which is cool. I know the Mazda CX-3 doesn't, not sure about any others

    Looks interesting.
    Interior interesting.
    But if Toyota keeps under powering this car it will not sell in numbers. Why go through all the effort to sell a car that is less powerful than cars 20 years ago. At least put a 1.6L turbo like Hyundai has and option AWD. In the age of SUV make it more capable and some might want it for the utility of power and bad road handling. Anyone who buys it now knows nothing about cars. For interior room a GTI is better. Even a Golf is better and both more fun.

    • @PrimeAutotainment
      @PrimeAutotainment  5 лет назад

      I really wish they gave it more power too, especially considering it’s MPGs aren’t that great and the new Corolla gets the better engine. I don’t get it. Thanks for the input and watching!

    • @PrimeAutotainment
      @PrimeAutotainment  5 лет назад +1

      I don’t blame you for being concerned about the CVTs...I’ve heard about that but don’t really know what’s going on for sure. I’m actually testing a Corolla Hatchback right now and I like it more. I wish it had. Ore cargo space, but overall I like it better for comfort, engine power/efficiency. They’re both very similar though. A test drive if each would probably help ya out! Good luck 👍
