The recording distance may be factor in how they sound to us, but then the remarks you made aligned with what I heard i.e. the Creative was excellent but slightly too bassy (and bulky). I thought the Force 2 was the most balanced sound across both recordings (volume seemed lower), but then the Ortizan and Reanok both sounded good. Ortizan would win for me too, due to the EQ, which is really useful when moving between rooms and outdoors. May be useful to list the models tested in the description, for that easy searching etc..?
Thank for the very useful comments on this video! I think you’re quite right about recording mic distance - I’m pretty new to doing speaker reviews so still figuring stuff out to give the best audio representation of the speakers. I sent all these back in the end: I think if you spend a bit more there are better speakers available (the ones in my other vid including the jbl flip 6, Tribit Flow, etc.). The creative had the best sound in the flesh but was too bassy, as you said. And I will amend my description info right now - this video has very few views compared to my others and I wonder if lack of searchable info is one of the reasons… I mean, I’m hardly Mr Beast in terms of views but this one hasn’t had many views even for me! Thanks again 👍👍👍
Er, I was more trying to assess audio quality rather than just volume levels. The only way to know really would be to try them for yourself - can you do what I did and buy from Amazon the just return them if you don’t like them? I’ve had no problems doing that 👍🤞
@@accoutrements4469 Thanks for answering.. I got those little speakers that are good for boosting my laptop at home (streaming services like Disney Plus are really low in volume), but I wanted to see if those Rienok and Ortizan are better for park and beach with friends. I already did something similar with my last purchases and I read they tend to ban when exciding in this procedure... that's why I don't know if I should do that again..
I did worry I might get into trouble from Amazon as I’ve bought and returned maybe a dozen speaker in recent months but not had a problem - if it says free delivery and free returns that have to honour that. I think any of those speakers would be ok for a small beach gathering but something bigger would obviously give better sound and more powerful bass 👍
No, I intentionally went for slightly larger speakers for this test: I’ve had quite a few really small speakers and figured I’d be able to get better/more natural bass capability with slightly larger format speakers. I’m not sure the cheap speakers in this test are particularly fantastic (theyre all ‘fine’ for the cash but none of them would fall into the ‘fantastic’ category) but they’ve definitely got more bass than my older very compact speakers. I also have ruled out the JBL Go 3 due to its extremely measly 5 hour battery life, which just seems too paltry to me 🤷♂️ I have, however, bought some other very small speakers to try as I’m not sure any of the ones in this video sound as good as I’d hoped - they’re certainly ok for not much money but I’m sure there must be either: a) much better options for a bit more cash or b) very small category travel speakers which sound better than my old ones (such as the Go 3 would be, but with better battery life), so hopefully I’ll get round to finding something ideal for my particular needs. Do you have the Go 3?
@@accoutrements4469 Fair enough, personally I'm not a huge fan or massive bass and having wrecked my top end hearing with too many Rolling Stones concerts and so on, I actually appreciate a speaker which pushes the treble. I do have a JBL Go3 which I bought because the JBL Flip 5 is way too bassey so I have to put it into demo mode when I use it which attenuates the bass. I use the Go 3 with my laptop which has terrible speakers- it's the primary use and the short battery life has never bothered me because I can always plug it in to the laptop charger.
@@accoutrements4469 fair enough, personally I don't like a speaker it is very bassy having wrecked my hearing with too many Rolling Stones concerts and other layout music through headphones. I do indeed have a JBL Go3 which I bought because I find the JBL Flip five way to Bassey unless I put it into demo mode which in itself is not satisfactory. I use the three as a laptop speaker because the inbuilt speakers are terrible so the relatively short battery life doesn't bother me because I can always plug it into the laptop power supply for a little while. I find the sound quality to be perfectly acceptable . I'm looking forward to seeing your collection of smaller speakers.
Fair comments, as ever 🙂 I am not a fan of over-inflated boomy bass at all but I like my music to sound balanced and to have deep bass rather than boosted or forced bass, if that makes sense? It’s nice when these speakers come with some kind of EQ so frequencies can be tamed.
Thanks for the review. Appreciated!
Thank you, hope it was of some use.

How do I know how loud they are?
Reinok or Ortizan?
And how do I find how louder they are than my Anker Soundcore Mini 1 or my RoyQueen g30?

You could have tried a JBL Go3 for the money, or were you only testing cylindrical models?
