Your last HOT spot produces again!!! Much searching and casting time for the hook up? What lure; white swim bait? Released; keeper size?
Hooked up about an hour into fishing. Tried 3 other spots before. 3 inch swimbaits, smelt colored, not white. This one spat out the hook and got away.
Been in that area once. Is parking safe near there? Do you long walk, jog or Ebike to your spots???
I just walk. You gotta park pretty far and walk, either down Grant or Winton. Hayward shoreline is pretty safe, it's far enough away from Oakland.

I just saw you caught a striper on the bay side of your area. Was that a long time ago or recent. Has it been good? Or slim chances of a catch?
It's fall. We get a glorious 3 months of striper fishing before they head back into the delta. Fishing is good now!
