When I go on mice and other pointing devices, it doesn't show or have the Microsoft P5/2 mouse but it has HID-compliant mouse

I had this issue but i deleted my Logitech driver and my touchpad reconnected and started working. I figured this out after a month. felt like i should let everyone know

@@randomuser2574 I deleted the logitech driver. Press windows key and search "add or remove" in the dialogue box, search for the logitech driver or scroll down to the application and there should be an uninstall button if you left click the application you want to delete.

I agree this is good tutorial, but for my issue with N56VV Asus touchpad it does not work (all methods were tested).. after changing registry "enablecursorsupresion" to 0, touchpad is always disabled, even Fn+F9 does not enable it anymore. Please help. The PC becomes worthless without having the touchpad...

Thank you so much 🙏 that was helpful. The first method didn't work so when I was trying the 2nd I pressed the 'Fn' key with f6 and f4 and nothing happened I moved to f2, my laptop switched off and when I switched it again the touchpad was functioning very well 😊😊 you helped me.

It's normal.

Its not there if you have uninstalled the drivers

Thanks for the vid I’ve been trying for over an hour. What worked for me me was I went to Mice and other pointing devices, driver, update driver, let me pick form list etc. and mine says HID-compliant mouse. Worked right after I selected it. Hope this helps!

I can’t press the arrow key to expand “mice and other pointing devices“ because my mouse pad is not working! That’s why I chose your video because you indicated you could solve that problem.

-Press Windows key + X
-Go to Device Manager
-Expand the Human Interface Device
-Look for HID Touchpad driver that was installed
-Right click and Update
-Look for "Browse my computer for driver
-Let me pick drivers available drivers
-Choose an old driver and use it.

My asus touchpad is working, but it's supposed to double as a 10-key keyboard, and when I switch over to 10-key, it still behaves as a touchpad even though the pad is now backlit with the 10-key buttons. Nobody on the internet is addressing this problem that I can find

Guys just press the windows button on your pc, then type "touch" tp beam up the touchpad settings. When that is done press enter. Then navigate to the the toggle that lets you turn your touchpad on or off. Use "Tab" tp navigate and then when you are at the on/off toggle button press "space" and your touchpad will be back on.

You have saved me from having to send my laptop off for warranty repair !! I didn't even realize there *was* a function key to disable the mousepad :O
It's next to my sleep button so I must have hit it accidentally sometime.

It happened when I installed a game but that game doesn't work then I uninstalled it after that my touchPad not working and I can't enable it..thanks you very much, it works on the last part the regedit...helpful tutorial.
