- My laptop is having very unusual problem of touchpad which stops working sometimes randomly. There is no particular pattern but usually when I move the laptop from one position to other, it stops working.

Guys its a Driver bug maybe you guys can save a lot of time if you follow my steps. I just solved the issue from the video 2:52 there Right click on the (I2C HID Device) just Disable and Enable the driver the problem will be solved. (shortcut to enter the settings :- Press (Windows icon) key and ( X ) button there left side select Device Manager) that’s it guys ;) thankyou sry for my bad english

I have just met this problem.
And I go to > Device Manager > Human Interface Device > Right Click on I2C HID Device > Update > and Check for update when It display Check for Update on window update page. Then I wait for 20mn for having update finished and Restart. Then go to setting > Touchpad Setting and Enable Touchpad.

Mine worked when I went into bios, it was enabled but touchpad was not working still, I disabled and enabled it again and saved and exit and my PC shutted down. Then I hit the power button again and boila, it started working!.
just got the laptop and I love it, but I cant lie the touchpad on this thing is where asus really saved some money. Thank you for the vid tho, I found it odd how it just disabled the touchpad by itself on my laptop but I just reenabled it and its good now.
Bro now it's fixed there is a options in settings (touchpad settings) there you can find it

I have a FX705GM and i have the same problem, it cost me more than 1000 dollars, and i have to use an external mouse, i sent a lot of complaints to asus and they not asume the fail, im super angry about this, never buy asus again
If your laptop is still under warranty period, then record a video of your problem and show it to the Asus service team.

@@jackchandel Welcome to the club, im using an external Logitech mouse, and im dealing with it, but when i use the touchpad and fails, i want to broke all ASUS offices.
In advance mode of BIOS utility, check if the internal pointing device is enabled or disabled. It should be enabled for touchpad to work.

My laptop was always stuck in Bios Utility Ez Mode, so I gave the laptop to a friend and he installed windows 10 for me. But the mouse pad was not working anymore. What worked for me was to go to settings>device manager>security and updates> and click install to all pending updates. Once the laptop restarted, I did hold FN+F11 and the touch pad was finally on :) works fine now!
-Press Windows key + X
-Go to Device Manager
-Expand the Human Interface Device
-Look for HID Touchpad driver that was installed
-Right click and Update
-Look for "Browse my computer for driver
-Let me pick drivers available drivers
-Choose an old driver and use it.

As most of other commentaries, I also have the same problem. The salestore said me they are going to send me other new (let's see it) but for what i can see, it seems like many laptops are coming with this problem from factories =/ The quality control in this product dont seem to be good enough.

Hello everyone I have just found the solution for Asus laptop only
Just press FN+F10
And ur touch pad will be off
And just by pressing FN+F10 it will be on again..
Refresh your laptop for several times
Shut down your laptop for some minutes and ON it again...
It worked on mine

My touchpad works, but it has so much input lag that it is unusable. I tried all possible drivers, unfortunately without success. My solution is called Linux, it works flawlessly there.

Device manager me jao aur uske human interface devices ke andar jana aur jab usme I2C HID devices ko update karne aur browse computer wala option choose karna, uske andar let me pick karne wala option choose karke jo ayega use click karke next karna. Uske baad control panel me jana aur devices wale option me trackpad ka menu a jayega to nahi a raha tha aur usko enable karna

bro u have to to update the driver ... if u have update it or it is not working then u have to download it manually form the company site then install it then done ... i have same problem now it is fix .... by using this process
Go to device manager, right click on i2c hid device, disable, then enable, press fn + f10 to enable touchpad and it worked
this worked for me (asus tuf fx505)
Try bios update. If that doesnot work, pop the lower hood clean the riboon cable for track pad and stick some tape over it so it doesnot move.

I think its driver related issue only. Try out different drivers for your graphics card and touchpad. Also update your system BIOS firmware to the latest version if available. Btw who plays games with touchpad 😁

I can confirm, it worked for me. Thanks a lot man! (You go to device manager by going to a corner of your screen and clicking into settings. Then you open device manager > Update and security and you will have a lot of updates that need to be installed.

Look for
human interation devices > asus precision touchpad. Check if update is available. Disable and enable it. Try updating all kind of drivers from asus website.

Mere sath bhi ye problem hua tha mere pass bhi yehi laptop h driver update kr liya meyne abhi acha chalta h or aapke laptop mey screen ka koi issue h kya
May be its a hardware issue just open the laptop unplug and plug the touchpad ribon to the motherboard

its a bit odd but my fix for my fx505dy is to remove the touchpad flex cable and scratch the contact points until its gold (kinda)again on both ends so it would be clean enough to detect the touchpad itself.

Bro its just your touchpad pin is loose open the laptop reconnect the pins from both sides touchpad as well as mother board it will be fine
bhai mere tuf gaming me bhi same problem hai...driver ka issue hai wo...i 2 c driver uninstall kar...aur firse thodi der bad scan for new hardware changes kar...fir detect ho jayega...but laptop ko windows ya performance mode me rakh from armoury crate..yahi abhi tak le liye sol hai..
aur permannent fix toh nahi hai ye...but detect ho jayega...
@@user-wk6xp1qt3t dont worry...my touch pad has stopped working now...they have cheap quality touchpad..u can read reviews about it online...and if its in warranty then get it replaced...its hardware issue..nothing can be done from in software

I got the touch panel replaced. It was a hardware problem
Same problem with me, this is issue with BIOS. When new updates came it will be solved. Otherwise after one month file case in consumer court.

I have asus tuf a15. Touchpad is horrible. It does not work randomly (like small misses when browsing etc). Will never buy asus again

I tried uninstalling , upaditing drivers all of them but nothing was working, one time i accidentally put laptop to the sleep using fn+f11 and then after some time again pressed fn+f11 to wake it up and my touchpad was working again. I thought that might just be like but, this keep happening to me and i fix it every time using sleep methon its been 4-5 time till now and everytime sleep method worked for me, (if not working try plugging in laptop then put to sleep then unplug and then wake it up) Hope it might help somebody cause its really annoying how touchpad just suddely doesn't work
Mine is working only when I'm in the bios. But it doesnt appear the internal pointing device option anywhere. It doesnt appear any touchpad configuration too. Any solution?
ASUS Touchpad, do not install, use MICROSOFT (manual install HID compatible device, NOT "HID compatible mouse"), avoid erratic movements and lack of response
My touchpad is working fine but it is wobbling a little bit up and down. I don't know if it's an issue or it's a normal thing, as I can also click on the trackpad by pressing it down hard yo have a clicky feedback (just like in MacBooks).

Guys who have this problem..I had the same problem and fixed it by installing this driver..Link: ivanrf.com/en/latest-asus-drivers-for-windows-10/ and download the smart gesture driver for either ur 32 bit or 64 bit os..the thing is windows update messes with the .Mine worked fine after this.

When you change the settings from bios it works for a short period of time within that time just go to devices and enable the touchpad it worked for me bro

@@Mahmoud-pf1ss i think mine is keyboard problem.because when i disable and enable the touchpad it works fine.but when i try to write something by my keyboard, touchpad suddenly doesn't work.when i join external keyboard then i try to search or write something from it works finely.i think my inbuilt keyboard is the cause for it..

I can't fix it tho, when I go to the device manager, I can't see I2C HID Device. I can only see the mouse installed on my laptop. This happened when I accidentally disabled the touchpad, and after that I can't enable it anymore using the same function key but before, I can enable it again by using the same function key. I tried installing a driver using windows powershell but there is no driver installed. I hope someone knows here how to fix this problem.
