The future has never been brighter for Bluejay Mining

A management refresh, a free acquisition and continued commitment from the futuristic AI exploration entity KoBold Metals are some of the headlines coming from northern hemisphere explorer Bluejay Mining (LON:JAY).
The business focused on rare earth element discovery in Finland and Greenland has had several management iterations over the past few years. All knew that their assets had significant potential and the current board have the operational credentials and industry relationships that could expedite discovery.
Managing director Eric Sondergaard is confident, cautious and careful. He's careful about money invested in the ground. He is after all a shareholder having taken part in a recent capital raise. He has stripped overheads and this month acquired the sedimentary hosted Thule copper project gratis. It's an extension of the company's Dundas Ilmenite asset which has excited and disappointed in equal measure. Investors are hoping for a return to the former emotion.
This expansion of Bluejay's license area kisses BHP's neighbouring Camelot project and when asked if the mining giant could become a strategic partner, Sondergaard says Bluejay can go it alone "in the short term."
He know mining majors are the source of exploration dollars for good projects and Sondergaard is confident about what Bluejay has now and what it is chasing. "The future honestly has never been brighter for Bluejay. The project baskets that we have are great."
The basket Bluejay has is the fully permitted Dundas mining project which "does still represent our nearest term pathway to cash flow," and Disko the nickel-copper-platinum-cobalt project which "represents the single largest upside opportunity in our portfolio."
While the company's mandate is the investigation of copper-weighted projects, Eric tells Sarah Lowther the company is looking to add a few other key strategic projects to the portfolio.
If he can do that gratis again, then this is a business model that will be much coveted by competitors.
