Hey Mate congratulations you are one of my Giveaway winners for a copy of Pokemon Legends Arceus, thank you for the comment, please email me to birdkeepertoby@gmail.com and we can organise getting a copy to you ^_^
I actually had a theory a while back that Meltan and Melmetal were ancient ancestors of the Magnemite, Beldum and Klink lines. All being Pokémon that are biomechanic in some way, have powers with the electromagnetic spectrum and evolve by fusion.
I really liked this video, especially the theory with magnamite and beldum being from outer space. It makes me think that Steven could be some sort of outer space researcher in the future. Or that we get a professor/gym leader one day that talks more about space pokemon as their specialty.
I really like the theory that Porygon Z was made by Galactic. I think it makes more sense because I always thought Sun and Moon take place later in the timeline.
I would love if voltorb could have a split evolution if you exchange him holding a quickball or a heavy ball making a really fast evolution and a tanky but slow evolution. Also i love the regigigas content, he deserves more representation.
TOBY! I havent heard you talk about the girl in LoA trailer with the munchlax said she was raised with it like family. This is def a reference to "eating at the same table". Watch her dad be a snorlax...
I actually have my own sinnoh theory: what if darkrai is from the distortion world? This is because of: 1)In the ranger series, darkrai creates portals that lead to a world that is described in a similar way to the distortion world, 2)Its powers & personality seem to be similar to giratina: it causes great chaos & destruction, but they don’t want to, so they hide themselves, and 3)When these 2 Pokémon appear, they have saved the world themselves instead of the humans. Yes they had human help, but it was darkrai & giratina who did it, not the humans
That manaphy/phione theory is really interesting and actually makes a lot of sense. I now want someone to come up with a full scientific process for how Pokémon breeding works, that would be epic!
Could possibly be that it's dependant on the compatibility of their respective Infinity Energies. Then when "breeding" it's actually a melding of the Infinity Energies into the formation of a new Pokemon. But it might be that female genetics are inherently more dominant and thus determine the species of the egg. Legendaries and other Pokemon without egg groups might just be incompatible with any known Pokemon's Infinity Energy.
@@Goldencat44 So something along the lines of if a Pokemon is further removed on The Tree from Arceus the easier it is to copy? I do like that. And it would also work well with the Ditto as a failed Mew clone theory. By having an imperfect clone, it might align the DNA strands easier with the lesser DNA of your average Pokemon, allowing breeding where Mew couldn't. Heck Manaphy could be just the right distance away from Arceus on The Tree to allow an unstable breeding with Ditto, but just close enough to ensure it isn't a fully complete duplicate.
@@SHOGUNTE thats pretty much my thought process, although unless ultra beasts are completely different or incompatible it throws a wrench in. At the same time cosmog could have to have its egg created in space/ a different dimension
I’ve always thought it made sense that reggigiggas and heatran fight. Even in their types it shows. Why would a Pokémon in a volcano be steel type? Maybe to resist a certain continent mover. Edit: I had a typo
As much as I love a deep, well-crafted theory that can build on our speculative lore…. I also love a nice, simple theory compilation :3 I love seeing many ideas all at once like this! Once I start my own Pokétube channel, I intend to make lots of videos like this! Happy Sinnoh Week, everyone!
It is always fun to wear other people's theory even though sometimes they don't make a whole lot of sense I am right but it's still pretty interesting to see them ☺️
i’ve been watching your videos for a few years now, ever since x and y and i love every single one of them! wether they are ones you have found through other people, it was a collaboration or it was some of your own ideas entirely, i just loved watching them all and they always make my day! so i just wanted to say thank you back :D
Your videos revolving around Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are doing a great job of getting me hyped for them. I've never been so impatient for anything before lol
2:23 Correct me if I'm wrong but I am pretty sure the Professor's aid isn't the player character's father, but the father of the assistant or "rival(?)" Dawn or Lucas. Love the content Toby! :)
so i started playing pokemon the year it came out. I think is was 5 or 6 not sure. And it took my mom and i an hour maybe to figure out how to walk out of the first room. your bedroom in the beginning of the game! We were so lost! Could not figure it out but after awhile of walking around i figured out that the CARPET looking square is a dang door! And have been in love with the game ever since!!!
Speaking of one of your theories, we might get a movie starring Heatran and Regigigas to build up love for some of those two legendaries. I'd also like especially for some of the theories that have built up over the years to finally be answered in Pokemon legends Arceus. It's been 25 years, after all, and we deserve some kind of reward for sticking with the games for so long.
The first thing I thought of when I first learned of Legends: Arceus' new battle system and how attacks could be executed with Strong/Agile-style(complete with martial arts dojo aesthetics), I though of the Kubfu line, specifically how Strong-style is completely parallel to Single-Strike Urshifu who's martial arts philosophy is likely based off of a strong one-hit and done style of striking it's opponents and how Agile-style is completely parralel to Rapid-strike Urshifu who's martial arts philosophy is likely based off of a more agile, rapid, and seamless flowing combo style of striking it's opponents. If Kubfu and Urshifu is in Legends: Arceus, I could totally see it's evolution methods changed to incorporate the Strong abd Agile Styles of using it's moves and it'll evolve based on how it uses those moves and which styles it uses those moves with. Given this parallels here, the Kubfu originally being from the mountains of Husui/Sinnoh of old is very plausible indeed.
2 more days for the release and Manaphy is an interesting pokemon as it has links to phione and may have links to the lake trio, add in that it can be bred imperfectly and still produce a rare pokemon means that its a very special case.
Glad to be part of your secret audience Toby. Always excited to see your new videos, keep it going and don’t ever give up, you’re among my favorite Pokémon content creators.
Never been as excited for a generation till this one. Of course Silver and Gold will always be my favorites but gen 4 always have a special place with me
I'm not commenting to get legends because I'm getting it myself but I LOVE your intro with you throwing the master ball and the music.. oh my god its amazing
I just got the digital bundle yesterday and I can't wait to play them! Platinum was my first ever game so even tho it's not diamond n pearl seeing the games downloaded on my switch brings back all these memories n I just can't wait to play. Iv been in a dark place for a bit now and Pokémon always helps me out if my dark places so I just...I'm so excited to play my first Pokémon game again. This remake just means so much to me
The magnetmite theory was awesome, I honestly thought it was a man made Pokémon, and the extra info about how it’s an alien made it way closer to the top of my favorite Pokémon
Still like one of my own mini theories about the sinnoh region, that Rotom might be a form of castform. I've not done much research into it, but they have the same catch rate and hight, and rotom is a bit lighter. My theory goes as follows: "A castform wanted to transform into a electic form, and tried to get itself a Thunder/Lightning form. It ran into a storm, but the lightning was to much for it. When it woke up it found that it had gained the electic type, but by being hit it has died, explaining the ghost type. Now it roams the world alone, having lost its castform friends because it died. It remembers how it could change forms, and finds out that my entering some household objects it can posses them and gain their ability and typing. Few rotoms have tried, which is why rotom are scares and are often confused with mytical pokemon." Both Rotom and Castform are one of a few pokemon with as many different forms in that way, and look rather simular. Especially with their adorable faces
You know, I heard a theory that Lucario actually has a metal skeleton and the metal spikes on it are just extensions of that metal skeleton, better explaining its steel type. I can’t really find any content on the theory though. Maybe something to include in a future video.
Your falinks/snorunt theory is really interesting and I loved hearing about it. I personally don’t think they’re related but I can definitely see how you do and how they’re similar!
I always assumed Manaphy’s ability to use the move heart swap is what allowed it to breed with ditto it’s more used to sharing itself with other pokemon so ditto has an easier time breeding with it
The Sinnoh region was the first region I explored. I specifically bought a switch because poke-tubers (specifically Bird Keeper Toby) were certain there would be remakes. Now I can't wait to play these remakes!!!
To me Mamoswine’s tusks are a dead give away that it’s an elephant. Yes wild boar can have tusks so it’s not definitive but the tusks are too long in my mind. Plus its snout that looks like a pigs could be a very short trunk hidden behind the fuzzy hair under its eyes
I’m biased about my favorite theory about Sinno/ hisui. And that being the hisuien zoroark being the ghosts we run in to through out the games and we only are able to battle the modern form of zoroark because it has lost its ghost ability’s and can no longer disappear just transform. That’s my head canon now that hisuien zoroark still exist just very rare and in the form of the ghost people we interact with and that’s how they learned to survive.
@BirdKeeperToby I like to imagine that Ditto//Breeding in Pokémon is similar to creating the clones in the Jurassic Park//World movies. "We used Amphibian genes to fill in the gaps in the Dinosaur DNA."
random theory that when certain people died in the pokémon world eg ghost girls maybe they can take the form of a human and once there purpose for taking a human form is fulfilled they become a ghost type pokémon the idea for this came from Paula (the ghost girl in galar) as she stays around hammerlock until Frank gets her letter then by my guess becomes a duskull due to the fact that she leaves behind a reaper cloth
The Mamoswine theory relating them to Donphan is something I've never considered, but it does make sense. As for Ghost types, they could be a creation of Giratina from before Arceus banished it.
The poor like button, I feel guilty for what I've done XD Also I think I prefer your other manaphy phione theory from the other theory video, that one felt like it made so much sense and was much more interesting to me than the ditto failing theory
I think my favorite of these theories is the Heatran/Regigigas relationship. I wonder if it’s possible given the timeline like you said of Hisui/Sinnoh if maybe there was a volcano that got moved maybe even further in the past than Hisui? Like 3,000 years ago such as the AZ timeline? I might be stretching it a bit, but maybe even some sort of time-lining occurred with Giratina and the distortion world? At any rate, love how your theories really get a person thinking.
here's a fun headcanon I have about the lake guardians: they represent the 3 legendary trios from the first 3 generations. Uxie - knowledge pkmn with closed eyes, defensive stats - deciphering braille, golems have no eyes, golems have ridiculous defenses Mesprit - sole roaming member of group, no real focus in stats - beasts roam (and the beasts have the most balanced stats as a group) Azelf - offensive stats, will - the legendary birds are more offense oriented and they're all found on their own in places of their preference a stretch, but still
I'm gonna be watching that Bidoof solo run, but I gotta get the game and play it myself blind before I start watching. Seems like most people are getting the game a day early, when I'm going to have to wait for Friday, since I'm not getting an Australian copy of the game.
It's been awhile since I played the Sinnoh games, so I might be the one in the wrong here, but a (very minor) detail I think you got wrong is that the aide in Rowan's lab (who you said might be Sycamore) is actually the father of the character you don't play as. It's a minor thing, but saying 'father of the player character' makes is sound like you're referring to the one we play as that lives in Twinleaf, as apposed to the one that helps Rowan and lives in Sandgem. Other than that, I can totally see that theory being true.
Aye Snorunt definitely looks like the runt of the falinks litter. they have the same eye color too. And it makes sense that snorunt would be cold and shivering because he's solo and is cold from not being so close to others, thus lacking the body heat falinks usually share. Very interesting theory indeed. I love these videos. very enlightening.
The heatran regigas theory is one of my faves - the whole resort area island seemed so out of place geographically and i would love to see something that confirms these terrestrial giants as rivals
