What if Diamond/Pearl and Platinum take place in two different universes: one where Candice was saved and one where she wasn't. Take her DP team: she has both a Snover and an Abomasnow, the latter being the one who saved her, but in her Platinum team we see no Snover just an Abomasnow. In the Platinum universe her ace Abomasnow never saved her ergo they never met. That's why her Platinum Abomasnow is actually her DP Snover. In a universe where she wasn't saved by a random Abomasnow, the only way for her to get one was to evolve Snover. And now her new ace is the Froslass that either she became or carried her off while she froze to death.

    • @phantomnite
      @phantomnite 2 года назад +1

A froslass carring off Candices dead body doesn't really fit in with what we know about froslass. So it's more likely that she became a froslass and took up a position as gym leader while making sure people can see her as Candice, either as an adult or st the age she was when she died, possibly when she was 16.

Manaphy is a Mythical still. It also was given as an egg in the OG via Pkmn Ranger games to DPP games. It was also given out at TRU stores via mystery gift. This current Manaphy egg is gotten over wifi through mystery gift but its still 1 per event/game and still a mythical. U could get more if u have a 2nd Switch account though, but tis a dif save file. If they run another Manaphy event then u could also in theory get another in the same game/file

I would not be surprised (but would be very, very pleased) if BD/SP have a postgame event where we can catch Manaphy, Shaymin, or Darkrai. The postgame mythical is starting to become a Thing, and I am 100% on board.
Still, nothing will beat the surprise Deoxys. That stands as the best postgame surprise in the series for me, so far.

I love the manaphy theory, even though there's no evidence it just _feels_ right. Some more *incredibly* loose evidence: sendoff spring looks like the caldera of an old volcano that has been filled in by water. Where else do we see a structure like this in the Pokémon world? Sootopolis city - where kyogre slumbers. Also, Lugia (the guardian of the sea) also resides in a cave amid what may have been an old volcano. So of the three sea-themed legendaries (I think there are only three), two of them live deep within old volcanoes surrounded by water and the other (manaphy) is of unknown origin. And given that there is an old volcano filled in with water in manaphies home region (sendoff spring) it makes sense that that was/is where it lived? Idk, it's also very weak but it's something?
Anyway, I absolutely loved this video and would love to see more, just the vagueness of all of these got all of the theory juices flowing in my brain, I love it!

I wonder does manaphy have anything to do with the relic castle in unova I know that the castle had to do with meloetia but I remember a pokedex entry saying that manaphy was the prince of the see and in a episode were Pikachu absorbed the blue orb in Pokemon advanced were it was able to tame groundon and It fought a manaphy was able to use kyoga to battle it so if manaphy was able to get the relic crown would it be able to evolve or had the ability to get water type Pokemon to fight for it like aqua man

I got an idea for a Pokétheory that has very little evidence, I think I've mentioned it before.
I can't remember where I read this, but there was something talking about the Arceus story, and how it hatched from a "Golden Egg" or "Egg of Ligh" or something like that. And my theory is that after hatching, Arceus gave Life to the pieces of its Egg, and That became Ultra Necrozma! Referencing the Juneau/Christian "Let There Be Light" or "And Then There Was Light"!
(This would make Necrozma "The Morning Star" and its associated Biblical Character, if you know what I mean)
Then Arceus used the Light Energy to create Palkia, Dialga, & Giratina (that part only makes sense because at the time I thought of it I was watching MattPatt's old Dr. Strange Theory) but basically Arceus did something that caused Necrozma to loose power, Necrozma fled, and as it flew, released more energy, eventually releasing enough to create Ultra Wormholes!
And finally, this last part references Lockstin's old Let's Go Theory. The Big Bang Diagram that shows Necrozma's Prism; maybe instead of loosing control of its power if you don't catch it and exploding, Necrozma challenges Arceus, they destroy each other, turn back into thr Egg, and it all starts over again!!!
... yeah this theory doesn't have much going for it, it relies too much on other people's Theories, and I can't even remember where I read about the Egg being "Gold"!
So yeah, very little evidence... but it's Cool!!?! 😅

Got nothing for the latter two theories but perhaps the woman who gives you the spell tag (let's just be honest, she was probably a Froslass) was actually a relative of Candice. Like you said, Candice got lost in the snowy area west of Snowpoint City, so it's likely that she would have had to walk to and from there from another area, perhaps the house/shack from which we obtain the spell tag. Also, as you said Candice keeps a Froslass on her team. Probably her relative, keeping her close in an effort for Candice to keep her close. Lastly, and I know this is very frail point as the woman in the house/shack just uses a generic sprite, but they do both share a darker hair colour.

I have a theory about the Pokémon Series in general and it explores the possibility of the events of Orre explaining exactly HOW Pokemon are stolen from Trainers by force, but, using a KEY DEVICE made by Team Snagem/ Professor Krane and used by the protags of both Colosseum and Gale Of Darkness. I don't know how much water it holds, but, here's MY theory.
How ARE Pokémon stolen from trainers exactly? In Gale Of Darkness, Wakin has his Gloom use Sleep Powder on Michael to steal the Snag Machine, which is the first time in the game universe we see Pokémon outright ATTACKING a human by its trainer's command. But, it's only implied that Pokémon are stolen from trainers. The Anime is a completely DIFFERENT UNIVERSE. We don't count it! But, Colosseum may have a definitive answer: The Snag Machine that Team Snagem developed. It's made to steal Pokémon from their trainers. Yes, in the laws of the game, you're only allowed to steal Shadow Pokémon from trainers, but, consider the following: how are Pokémon being stolen from trainers and why do they obey the villains? The Answer: Team Snagem was developing Pokémon Stealing technology and selling it in mass to these teams: They are SNAGGING Pokémon, brainwashing them to obey NEW commands! That's why Wes betrays Team Snagem in the first place! He was working undercover with them while blending in until he was able to make a safe get away. Sure, the snag machine technology is never mentioned BEFORE Colosseum or AFTER Gale Of Darkness, but, why would it be mentioned, being a one-off thing only seen in two games?
There's my theory. Is this a good theory?

how have i never noticed how similar manaphy and the lake trio are?

  • @Officewaffle
    @Officewaffle 2 года назад

The fact that the sendoff spring is one of the legendary lakes of sinnoh and that's where giratina opens the portal back from the distortion world is very interesting and could tie into the manaphy theory. Giratina was made to represent antimatter and was banished from the regular world for vague reasons involving violence. Perhaps manaphy and giratina were once lake guardians. Giratina perhaps represented the other side of the human mind, our bad qualities. These are the opposite of what the lake trio was made to represent (thus being antimatter, the opposite of the matter that the creation trio governed) but they're still a part of our personality. When giratina was banished, perhaps because it tried to overcome the rest of the trio, it still remained closest to the lake it once remained in. Manaphy's heart swap lets the person affected step into someone else's shoes and understand them. If manaphy truly does roam the ocean that surrounds the sinnoh region, perhaps this represents that Arceus wants compassion and understanding to encompass what the sinnoh people do.
I don't think this is the developers intention but it's fun to think about.

A way to make the Crawdaunt - Garchomp theory work is saying that as Sinnoh was inhabited, Gible were slowly driven into caves and the underground because, let’s be honest, Garchomps are terrifyingly strong and hungry. So, Crawdaunt just adapted the Star from Garchomp when Celestic town didn’t exist. When the area was inhabited, Gible were chased out while Corvish were kept around for food and because they were pretty harmless.

My recent theory that probably isn't true but it's fun to think about: Spiritomb was a Basculegion that got too rowdy.
We know both are formed from an amalgamation of souls, Basculegion gets stronger the more souls are in it, and Spiritomb is comprised of over a thousand souls bound together. It's possible a very big school of Basculin met a tragic fate with one survivor, or worse, a Basculegion started hunting Basculin schools and recruiting the spirits into itself. Either way, once formed the Basculegion in question started to cause problems and the local community made the decision to put it down as best they could, by sealing it into a keystone where it eventually corrupted into Spiritomb (and as you can get multiple odd keystones in the games, it may have happened more than once). It's plausible, especially since the hallowed tower is right next to a river, but unless it's confirmed outright I would imagine the similar origins are a coincidence.

I never realized Manaphy was kinda like an upside down lake guardian, it's two head tentacle things look like the lake Mon's twin tails and then the gem is on the opposite side of the body as well, even if these theories lack evidence they give you fun stuff to think about so it's worth making vids of them imo.

Maybe Manaphy and Phione represent Perspective.

All of these theories are surprising not as illogical as I expected. They sound pretty solid for at least half way through.

Phione existing always seemed pretty weird to me, like why let us breed a legendary only for the offspring to simply be a near identical but much weaker version of it, the idea of that secretly having a story purpose and Team Galactic breeding a bunch of Phiones for red chain experiments is so disturbing but kind of awesome

I don't think that's how Candice's name was pronounced. What I remember in anime, how her name was pronounced, was pronounced as "Candy" with "S" in the end (Not like a lot of candies, but as "Candis"), not "Cand"-"ice". Of course, it may be that she has been pronounced differently in English version of Anime, although it makes no sense when Candice is England version of her name.
    7:56 Uxie's "U" is pronounced with an English U, not a Finnish U.

I like the idea of more vids like this :) There may not be much evidence but they're fun ideas and I feel like they could spark even more ideas, and other people may be able to bring their own evidence to the table if there's anything you happened to miss that someone else noticed ^^

7:21 I just wanted to point out that when you turn Manaphy upside down, it looks similar to Azelf.

My favorite Sinnoh theory that doesn't have much evidence is that Rowan was the one Darkrai was waiting for. Ages are always kind of estimated with characters in the Pokemon universe with very few exceptions. Rowan is one of those as early on he tells you he's about 60 years old. And it's kind of weird how unlike most of the other professors, he's very reluctant to send the player on a journey and even seems worried how if he gives you a Starter, there's no telling what will happen to you and your rival other than having the world opened to them. Possibly he's had some bad experience of his own.
Enter the hotel event. We find out that the hotel has been abandoned for decades and hints something really bad happened there that caused it to close. It also says the key card you get from the event is dated for 50 years ago. Why is that important? Because if it had belonged to Rowan, he would have been 10yo at the time, the same as most kids when starting out. The man or ghost or nightmare creation says they've been waiting for you before sending the player to face Darkrai. Which could just be spooky talk, could just be recognizing the card, or its because by the time of the event they've gotten very close with and maybe bears a similar scent or aura that Darkrai was waiting to return.
But as I said, it's a lot of speculation that only really has the dates going for it. But still fun.
I rather enjoyed this video and would love to hear more "outlandish" ideas since even if there's not enough to prove anything, it's always fun to you with.

Sinnoh's caves and underground mines could have more interconnectivity than we know. Maybe the Gible of Wayward cave have in the past been in Celestic's cave where the shrine was placed.

I loved seeing these theories. Not all theories have to be based on evidence, sometimes they can be just filling the gaps with headcanons.

But what is the ocean if not one really big world lake? XP the whole heart swap thing could be a means of understanding others where the three lake sprites seem to be more related to understanding the self. Manaphy is the heart of the sea, hence its gem being located on its chest.
It is also super special in that Manaphy can only occur under very specific conditions in the ocean. If it breeds anywhere else it just becomes phione. So what if there's an ocean trio? Or even a 7 seas kind of group of pokemon? What if manaphy bred at a lake instead of the ocean? Does fresh or salt water affect the egg/pokemon?

I like the idea of Corphish and Crawdaunt having originated from Sinnoh. Perhaps, we'll learn that they came from Sinnoh when it was previously known as the Hisui region. Maybe we'll get to see a Hisuian variant of Corphish and/or Crawdaunt?
That, or these Water types came from some other region that we have yet to explore, whether that be a game set in the present or in a future Legends [insert name of legendary Pokémon here] game.

I know you said that these don't have a lot of evidence to back them up, but if you never said that the theories don't make sense and just spoke about them as if they were backed up I would have 100% believed you, you convinced me over the course of this video
