    MY INSIGHTS:
    This voice changer works fairly well. And is a core go-to for inexpensive voice changing for costume integration, gaming, etc.
    They designed it to integrate with various devices, including your phone, Xbox, PlayStation etc.
    It’s Far superior to the Halloween store voice changers. Those I’ve tried had limited features, and were mostly indecipherable.

    HOW TO CONNECT DEVICES:
    TO OUTPUT TO AN AMPLIFIER/SPEAKER: A dedicated Mic goes in the "mic" port on top & an amplified speaker goes into “headset” port on bottom.
    Depending on your amp/speaker first try using the included TRRS cable (those are the types if cables that came with the i9 (3 plastic separators & 4 metal sections on the 3.5 mm tip).) if it doesn’t work, try a TRS (regular stereo cable with 3 metal parts and 2 plastic separators.)

      Ensure your volume is only at the necessary level so your mic cannot hear your speaker - also ensure both the mic and speaker are directed away from each other so they don’t hear each other and continue the loop.

    Just a question. The headphone at the start (not the big gaming one) works fine just like that with the amplifier, modulator and the microphone?

    • @creative-stuff
      @creative-stuff  День назад

      I’m not sure if I understand the question but actually at the start it’s just a mic and it came with a personal voice amp and thus works well with the amp. When using with the i9, it ONLY works when used with the MIC jack. Does that answer your question?

    TY for this content.
    Trying to build the “easy” setup in the first part of your video.
    Control: Mic (came w/amp) into top left I9 inout and earbuds (came w/I9) in headphone jack = success.
    Replace earbuds with TRRS to TRRS cable (2 came w/I9) = fail.
    Both the earbuds and cable are TRRS. Earbuds are white bands, cable are black - does that matter? Please help!!!

      Yeah, this is something that’s quirky, and I imagine it must be based off of the input acceptance of your output device. If it understands a TRRS input, then you’re good, but if not, then you likely get nothing as the MIC is mixed with the ground and nullifies the input. I recommend trying to use just a TRS stereo cable on the i9 output instead and see if that works. If not, you could try putting a TRRS to TRS conversion tip in between the cable and your output device.

      Regarding the band colors, if they follow the technical standard, then there is a difference between black and white. The black is the old standard OMTP & the white is the newer standard CTIA. In CTIA, the mic is on the sleeve while OMTP has the mic on the 2nd ring. Some vendors, however, just do their own thing and make their rings whatever color they want, so if you’re unsure, you may benefit from using a multimeter to verify.

      Hey im trying to get a vader costume finished up before halloween and i think i have the same issue as you! I have my mic into i9 and then i was using what i think is a standard aux cord from bottom of i9 into mic of amp (im assuming this is the wrong part) my question is what type of cord do you run i9 to amp? Does trs to trs work or should I look at trs to trrs? @jefftsai1131

    Hi, what is the actual model of the retekess amp you have there, and is it a TRRS jack friendly or isit a TRS plug

    • @creative-stuff
      @creative-stuff  11 дней назад

      I don’t recall the Retekess model, but I do recall that it is discontinued and yea that one was trrs friendly from what I recall . If you have an amp that doesn’t like trrs input then you should be ok using a TRS (stereo) cable out of the i9’s Headset Jack. If it gives you any trouble then go from a TRRS splitter/combiner that splits trrs to Mic audio and headphones audio and just send the headphones audio over the TrS to your amp. Though I just tested the other day and it worked both ways . But either way, if one doesn’t work, try the other.

      @@creative-stuff Thanks for that, i believe that i need to change my Amp, as the TRS does not work with it, so hopefully, i will know next week

    Hey! I have an amplifier and just a small job speaker, when I connect to the speaker all I get is loud bass type static/feedback and when I connect to the amp I get nothing. As well as when I used the voice changer with everything that came with it the Dj voice was the only one that didn’t work. Do you have any tips?

    • @creative-stuff
      @creative-stuff  2 месяца назад

      I don’t understand your setup as described. But essentially make sure your connections are correct. You’ll need to use an amplified speaker on the HEADSET port. You can use a portable voice amplifier with built in speaker or you can use any mobile/powered speaker with a 3.5mm input. A speaker with no amp is not viable. Put your microphone into the MIC port. (A plain mic with no preamp is fine, a preamp is built into the i9)

      Have the same problem as you. I checked, all (the mic, the amp) is in the right place, but DJ mode doesn't work. I don't know if it's because i used the mic that was with the voice changer but I tried everything, still not working.

    Hello I have a question. How do I tell if the speaker is amplified? The mic works good, but I used a 3.5mm to USD-C cable to hook into the speaker. Still it’s not working. What happens to be the problem?

    • @creative-stuff
      @creative-stuff  Месяц назад +1

      Does your speaker have a built in battery? Can you use it to cast your phone to it? If it uses a battery to play music- it is amplified. If you pulled a speaker from home theater for example and it has no plug or battery to power it - just positive and negative terminals- then it is not amplified.
      Since you mention a usb C input it is probably amplified, however if you’re doing a 3.5mm to USB-C - I’m not familiar with those converters.
      You could have a variety of problems.
      1. Ensure you’re wired correctly:
      1a. INPUT MIC into i9 MIC port
      1b. OUTPUT via i9 HEADSET port - You need to use a TRRS 3.5mm cable. TRRS metallic tip has 3 plastic separators (either black or white typically). TRRS - Tip: Left channel, Ring 1: Right channel, Ring 2: Ground, Sleeve (closest to the wire): Mic. Using the wrong cable connector results in no output.
      Test the device by outputting the device over the included Trrs cable to a home stereo or something that accepts 3.5 audio in to verify it’s wired right and working correctly. Then try a USBC to TRRS 3.5mm converter.
      If you have a 3.5mm TRRS to USB C converter and it’s all connected correctly and still not working- test that converter cable with an output device you know works and see if it outputs over the cable fine.

      Also @creative-stuff I hooked the 3.5 TRRS into the headset jack and hooked the USB-C end into the stereo. Still nothing.

      What is your use-case? Are you outputting to an amp, phone or gaming system?
      How are you connecting everything - what port is wired to what device ? And You mention WiFi - I’m guessing you mean Bluetooth - to what is that connecting?
