@eric bastian 1 Peter 5:13 "she who is in Babylon elect together with you"
Paul's epistle to the Romans is addressed to a church. That Paul did not establish. Romans 16:20 "the God of Peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly." Satan is still doing his thing ...So this is still an ongoing saga! ... notice that the Roman Church was not amongst the seven churches dissolved in Revelations! ... Daniel chapter 2 ... the fourth kingdom made of iron and clay. All Scholars agree that this is Rome.. Daniel 2:44 in the days of these Kings the GOD of Heaven will set up a Kingdom. Which shall never be destroyed. And the Kingdom SHALL NOT BE LEFT TO OTHER PEOPLE... a lot of people argue that this will be in the second coming. But if you read the entire passage it says that His Kingdom will break into pieces... God's kingdom will not break into pieces in the second coming! 107 AD Ignatius of Antioch issued seven letters to churches on his way to martyrdom. One of his letters is to the church in Rome... and then another letter uses the phrase Catholic Church! ... if you follow Paul's Biblical timeline when he was at Antioch... you will see that Ignatius learned from Paul and the other Apostles directly! Ignatius would have had to fly contrary to the Apostles teaching on his way to death... if what Ignatius said wasn't true... nobody dies for a lie! Hope this helps my friend! GOD Bless you and your family!!!

@eric bastian I've seen this video. The service was the Easter Mass in Latin. The word "lucifer" in Latin means "Daystar" (2 Peter 1:19). As to your assertion that the Church started 300 years after Peter died... No, it had to be underground until then. Most of the early popes were martyred. It was a death sentence to be Christian in the early part of the Church history. We are Catholic because Catholic means Universal. We are Roman Catholic because Peter established the Church in Rome. Peter was crucified upside down in Rome and is buried there (as is Paul).

Roman Catholicism started under emperor Constantine by Eusebius. It was Eusebius that did the rewriting of history to centralize power around Rome.
The official beginning of the Roman Catholic church occurred in 590 AD, with Pope Gregory I. This time marked the consolidated of lands controlled by authority of the pope, and thus the church's power, into what would later be known as "the Papal States."
The RCC scales with society too much, trying to evolve its self with societal constructs rather than standing its ground as a light of the truth.
      Romans 12:2 ESV
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
The RCC doesn’t believe in mind renewal by Gods Causality but by Mans self corporation.

offered for the faithfully departed who “have died in Christ but are not yet
wholly purified,” so that they may be able to enter the light and peace of

when we die. 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John5:13 “I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.” Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.

And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Act 16:31
Who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began. Timothy 1:9

Church is for the sinners jz like the hospital is for the sick. So many die in the hospital too...but tht doesn't mean ppl stop seeking medical help...
Despite imperfect ppl in the church...there are so many good christians in the church through out the hsitory...plus did you knw the Catholic Church is one of the largest charitable organisations..
Also, there's so many imperfections in other organisations ..jz tht they never made it to the news... it always seem to be sensational to hear the sins of imperfect ppl in The Catholic church...

Satan is still doing his thing ...So this is still an ongoing saga! ... notice that the Roman Church was not amongst the seven churches dissolved in Revelations! Such certainty is based on faith, not reason. And that is how it should be. There is, and can be, no *proof*, based on reason or argument, for the notion that Catholicism is the one true religion. Because anything based on reason or argument can always be challenged, re-interpreted, revised, seen in a different light or from a different POV. Only faith is hard-wearing enough to resist being eroded by the acid of reason, which erodes everything, even itself. Faith ought to use reason, but cannot be built upon reason.

    • @WM_-lq9gb
      @WM_-lq9gb 6 лет назад +1

Michael Wilson NOBODY deserves to enter heaven because god said everyone is a sinner. That’s right EVERYONE
      Romans 3:10 says :
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
But the gift of god is eternal life by the shedding of his blood over ALL OUR SINS ! so many times Jesus put a big emphasis on this but people don’t understand sin .
      23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
      25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
You need to understand sin . Did u know that even I small wrong thought is counted as a sin? If you sin once you are guilty of all ? (YES IT SAYS THAT IN THE BIBLE) You are going to stumble at that point if you think you’re “good enough” , since nobody is righteous in the eyes of god , but only those who have fully trusted in gods word , god sees them acceptable since they have taken the gift of god , and NOT threw it aside , instead accepted what he has done for us on the cross, and most of all , UNDERSTANDING that we cant save ourselves it is only through jesus we can get salvation
Why do you think god gave people the commandments in the Old Testament ? To show us that we cannot keep them all , it is impossible . Even The nicest person on earth cannot go to heaven unless they put their faith and trust only in gods finished work on the cross , his only one sacrifice for all, because the only one without sin is Jesus and god doesn’t allow a single SPECK OF SIN in his kingdom
I’m not sure what your faith is , but please read the bible for your own sake , preferably a king James version (the original one ) since all the other ones completely changed gods word , use an online bible if you don’t have one
I urge you to find the truth , and u definitely have a point on the whole “Denomination” thing , god said himself that “his church “ was all Christians who have been saved (believers) and not some stone building built by men ruled by a pope who is a copycat version of Jesus , stealing gods authority
Actually all truth comes down to one simple question :
Church authority VS gods very own word
and trust me the Roman Catholic authority has a lot of contradictions when it comes to gods word in the bible , and immediately turn to what the church says instead of what GOD says
And gods word has NO contradictions and is without error , and if you believe otherwise then you don’t trust in god

" If ye lack wisdom let me ask of God...,". If you are sincere he will let you know in his own way and time. A few things to look for in the True Church he himself established in these last days are. Organization (Prophets, Elders, Seventy, Patriarchs, Deacons, Priests, etc) are positions in his church, "Priesthood Authority" that can be traced (lineage) back to Christ thru the laying on of hands, Revelation or communication (living Prophets that live on the earth today), The True Church will bear his name (Jesus Christ). The Catholic Church is NOT that church or other Protestant churches just to be very clear. Put your trust in God and ask him to guide you and he will !!! The popes kissing the Quran, the unbelievers, being allowed to pray their books in the Vatican, pagan idols blessed and worshipped, with a full consent of Pope Francis? At John 8:31, Jesus said: "If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples." Is the Catholic Church remaining in Jesus' word? See for yourself:
    1. Jesus prayed to his Father, calling him "the *_only_* true God." (John 17: The Catholic Church teaches that Jesus is "true God from true God." [Nicene Creed]
    2. Jesus said: "The Father is greater than I am." (John 14:28) The Catholic Church teaches that "in this trinity, *_none_* is greater or less than another." [Athanasian Creed]
    3. Jesus said: "I am the _Son_ of God." (John 10:36) The Catholic Church teaches that "[Jesus] is God." [Athanasian Creed]
    4. Jesus told his followers: "Call no one on earth your father; you have but one Father in heaven." (Matt. 23:9)The Catholic Church calls its priests "Father."
    5. Jesus said: "But the hour is coming, and is now here, when true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and truth; and indeed the Father seeks such people to worship him." (John 4:23) The Catholic Church teaches that "we worship one God in trinity." [Athanasian Creed]
So, clearly, the Catholic Church is not the one true religion. It's a false religion.

I used to be naiive thinking that if I presented the most logical arguments in social media communities like Theism vs Atheism discussions, I would win over at least some non-believers. I was sadly mistaken. You may win the argument but not the soul. Actual conversion requires the action of the Holy Spirit.

    • @lindacosgrove7918

You are absolutely right that "actual conversion requires the action of the Holy Spirit". I believe Protestantism could never satisfy the intellect, however it's the heart that must be restless to activate the search for truth. I never can understand how Protestants can actually put down the church when it's the Catholic church that produces the saints. There are many good-living protestants who love the Lord and their neighbor, but honestly can't understand how they settle for the "sliver of the pie" while Catholicism has it all. Some of the "anti-catholic" statements made here are clearly ignorant of truth or not from a true Christian. I'll take a practicing, loving Muslim any day over a hateful Christian and who knows perhaps that Muslim could convert someday. I am at peace with other faiths, this is something I asked from the Lord along time ago, however I will defend my Catholic Faith in a heartbeat. Protestants cannot see the forest among the trees but it's like you said "conversion needs the Holy Spirit". In modern times I was always fascinated by the conversion story of Bernard Nathanson the famous "abortion doctor" who helped legalize abortion, then had a conversion; we just never know who or when conversion will be bestowed upon. Keep praying and being an example and best on your spiritual journey!!!

People do not see the arrogant lies that some have told and are still telling. And we need to be honest. The only one that matters is GOD. FATHER, JESUS, & SPIRIT. "
Honestly. Don't worry about that other person. My advice is thia. O find being with GOD will satisfy your SOUL. Just sit in with HIM and you will receive PEACE. And you will be happy. You will cherish and appreciate HIS LOVE and MERCY for You. BELIEVE ME. You will realize the treasure INSIDE. And even outside. But you will admit it's BEAUTIFUL.

Strictly speaking, all Christian sects have some truth to them. All need to be considered (even the pressure under which the Jehovah's Witnesses are put- even though they extremely disagree with Catholics about the interpretation of scripture). However, the Catholic Church is constantly evolving, and learning over time. There was some reconciliation with the Eastern Orthodox Churches during the Vatican II. This needs to be done with ALL Protestant sects, too.

You need to read the ENTIRE thing about peter! It seems as if Christ was referring that the church is built upon the foundation of the fact that he reveals that he is true... it is based on, and he builds his church by revealing to people that he is the right way, one and true church... Christ asks him who the son of man is... uses the term Son of Man... then Peter is called Son of Jonah... what does that part mean? Well, i think Jesus is referring to himself and relating to others by that term because of the type of ministry and behavior that he was displaying. Ok.. so then he refers to Peter as the Son of Jonah.. relating to him, but its too ambiguous to understand the entire thing to draw a formal conclusion. I mean, it could be read one of two ways, and that part of the Bible is literally what either makes or breaks the authority claim the Catholic church has. You know, a lot of people claim to be the right real church, but only one of you is actually correct. All of the faithful i have no idea how any of them... because they often times look less intelligent than i do, how they know they have and can prove their church is in fact the right church to be going to. Its pure madness. This whole world is filled with everyone standing up, no one saying their wrong. Ill tell you this, all of you need to sit down, and one needs to make sure the others dont exist PERIOD. You are driving everyone totally crazy.

IT'S the ONE true Religion, but it's not the Truth of the Creator YAH in the Law and Prophets.

How to Find the True Religion: (hint... being the most popular one doesn't make it true)
‘If truth from God exists, why must I search to find it?’ some ask. ‘If God has an important message for all mankind, would he not convey it clearly enough so that people would grasp it immediately, without the need for investigation?’
SURELY God has the ability to do such a thing. But is that the way he has chosen to communicate truth?
Actually, God conveys his messages in a way that allows sincere seekers of truth to search them out. (Psalm 14:2) Consider the message that God delivered through his prophet Jeremiah centuries ago. It was given to God’s wayward people regarding the coming destruction of Jerusalem by the Babylonians.-Jeremiah 25:8-11; 52:12-14.
Yet, at the same time, other prophets claimed to speak for God. Hananiah foretold peace for Jerusalem. That was a very different message from the one that Jeremiah delivered. So whom was a person at that time to believe-Jeremiah or those who contradicted him?-Jeremiah 23:16, 17; 28:1, 2,10-17.
To know who was right, sincere Jews needed to know God as a person. They needed to understand his heart, laws and principles, as well as his attitude toward wrongdoing. Doing so, they would have agreed with God’s words spoken through Jeremiah that “there was not a man repenting over his badness.” (Jeremiah 8:5-7) Furthermore, they would have discerned that this sad situation did not bode well for Jerusalem and its inhabitants.-Deuteronomy 28:15-68; Jeremiah 52:4-14.
Jeremiah’s prophecies about Jerusalem came true. The city was razed by the Babylonians in 607 B.C.E.
Although the consequences of disobedience were foretold long in advance, effort was needed to recognize that the time had arrived for God to take action.
    What About Christian Truth?
What of the truth proclaimed by Jesus Christ? Did everyone recognize it as a message from God? No. Even though Jesus was right there in the midst of the people of Israel teaching them and performing miracles, most of his listeners did not discern that he was the foretold Messiah-the Christ, or Anointed One.
To the Pharisees who asked when God’s Kingdom was coming, Jesus himself said: “The kingdom of God is not coming with striking observableness.” He added: “The kingdom of God is in your midst.” (Luke 17:20, 21) God’s appointed Ruler, Jesus, was among them! But those Pharisees refused to open their eyes to the evidence that he was fulfilling the Messianic prophecies and to accept him as “the Christ, the Son of the living God.”-Matthew 16:16.
The response to the truth proclaimed by Christ’s first-century disciples was similar. While miracles helped to demonstrate that God was supporting the disciples, the truth was still not plain to most. (Acts 8:1-8; 9:32-41) Jesus commissioned his followers to “make disciples of people” by teaching them. As a result of listening and learning Scriptural truths, sincere seekers of truth became believers.-Matthew 28:19; Acts 5:42; 17:2-4, 32-34.
It is the same today. The “good news of the kingdom” is being “preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations.” (Matthew 24:14) This is not necessarily being done “with striking observableness”-in so obvious a way that every individual on earth will recognize it as a message from God. Yet, God’s truth is recognizable and strikes a responsive chord in honesthearted individuals who want to worship God in the way approved by him.-John 10:4, 27.
The fact that you are reading a Bible journal shows that you are likely a sincere seeker of truth. How can you determine which religion is teaching it?
An Approach That Works: Some first-century residents of Beroea were commended by the apostle Paul for the way they responded when he taught them. They did not immediately accept what Paul said as truth; still, they listened respectfully. We can learn from what the Beroeans did after hearing the message.
Note that the Bible explains: “Now the [Beroeans] were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with the greatest eagerness of mind, carefully examining the Scriptures daily as to whether these things were so. Therefore many of them became believers.” (Acts 17:10-12) So their search was not superficial. They did not expect conclusive results in just one or two brief discussions with Paul.
Observe also that the Beroeans “received the word with the greatest eagerness of mind.” This tells us something about the attitude with which they approached their study of the Scriptures. They were not gullible, but neither were they cynical. They did not have a critical attitude toward what was explained by Paul, who was one of God’s human representatives.
Consider this too: The Beroeans were hearing about Christianity for the first time. It sounded good, perhaps too good to be true. But rather than dismiss it, they carefully examined the Scriptures, checking to see ‘whether the things Paul was saying were so.’ Note, too, that those in both Beroea and Thessalonica who made such a diligent search became believers. (Acts 17:4, 12) They did not give up and conclude that truth cannot be found. They identified the true religion.
When one finds the truth, as did the Beroeans, he is moved to share it enthusiastically. Others may disapprove, holding that it is more humble to feel that other religions could be equally correct. However, the Bible’s truth-once found-instills conviction. It does not leave one wondering if truth is attainable or if all religions might lead to salvation. Finding the truth, however, begins with an earnest and sincere examination, which does indeed require humility.
Many true Christians have made such an examination. That is why they believe that they have found the true religion. God invites you to make a search of the Scriptures so as to identify who is practicing true religion today. While there is much more involved than any simple checklist could provide, the following may help you to get started.
Consider the practices and teachings of first-century Christians:
    ▪ They looked to God’s Word as their guide.-2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21.
    ▪ They taught that Jesus was God’s Son, distinct from God himself and subordinate to Him.-1 Corinthians 11:3; 1 Peter 1:3.
    ▪ They taught that the dead will return to life by means of a future resurrection.-Acts 24:15.
    ▪ They were known overall for the love that prevailed among themselves.-John 13:34, 35.
    ▪ They did not worship merely as individuals but were organized into congregations and were united under overseers and a central body of elders that looked to Jesus as Head.-Acts 14:21-23; 15:1-31;Ephesians 1:22; 1 Timothy 3:1-13.
    ▪ They were zealous preachers of God’s Kingdom as mankind’s only hope.-Matthew 24:14; 28:19, 20;Acts 1:8.

John 14:6 KJV - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The apocrypha is a selection of books which were published in the original 1611 King James Bible. These apocryphal books were positioned between the Old and New Testament (it also contained maps and geneologies). The apocrypha was a part of the KJV for 274 years until being removed in 1885 A.D. A portion of these books were called deuterocanonical books by some entities, such as the Catholic church.
Many claim the apocrypha should never have been included in the first place, raising doubt about its validity and believing it was not God-inspired (for instance, a reference about magic seems inconsistent with the rest of the Bible: Tobit chapter 6, verses 5-8). Others believe it is valid and that it should never have been removed- that it was considered part of the Bible for nearly 2,000 years before it was recently removed a little more than 100 years ago. Some say it was removed because of not finding the books in the original Hebrew manuscripts. Others claim it wasn't removed by the church, but by printers to cut costs in distributing Bibles in the United States. Both sides tend to cite the same verses that warn against adding or subtracting from the Bible: Revelation 22:18. The word 'apocrypha' means 'hidden.' Fragments of Dead Sea Scrolls dating back to before 70 A.D. contained parts of the apocrypha books in Hebrew, including Sirach and Tobit [source].
Keep this in mind when reading the following apocryphal books. Martin Luther said, "Apocrypha--that is, books which are not regarded as equal to the holy Scriptures, and yet are profitable and good to read." (King James Version Defended page 98.)

Ok so even if this is true that "Peter" was to commence an apostolic succession (ignoring that James was actually the leader after Jesus ascended)... How did this authority conveniently translate to the church at Rome, whom just happened to be the one exalted by the pagan empire of Rome as supreme? There's absolutely no precedent for it in the Text obviously, so from whence do Roman Catholics derive this status?
Also, there needs to be a qualifier on what is actually "Protestant"... Does any rational person Christian or not think the homosexual church is part of "Protestantism"? The whole reason we left the RCC was due to what we consider to be gross unbiblical heresy. There's obviously NOTHING in the Holy Bible that could even remotely suggest an abomination as putrid as sodomy is acceptable to God.
My point is Protestants do unfortunately have many varied sects... But let's be serious, only sincere ones count. We don't get blame for devils calling themselves a church that's not accurate, indeed we have different sects for this very reason that we do not yoke with clear heretics.

Mr tee and remember in history where Constantinople fell to invaders, yeah that church with it, then suddenly you have east and west churches with huge ethnic differences and a new found dislike for the authority of the pope, but for at least 1100 years they stayed together until racial differences finally created a schism into orthodox and Roman Catholic traditions. But the orthodox end had many times been invaded by Muslims and other ethnic groups and the world and civilization as we knew it was under attack and the only body that remained was the unchanging western church , there was a point when the HUNS were about to ransack Rome and literally destroy what little was left of civilized society and the Pope ( as if with the grace of God) convinced him he shouldn’t, practically saving Christianity and civilization as we know it, the church remained until the Middle Ages where the problems began some broken vows and fake popes and horrible crusades but never a change to theology and doctrine, and there were some good popes (and Kings) in between who fought against the heresy corruption within the church they were called “reformers” (you can see where this leads)....
But never did the church branch off and become denominations until a single ex lawyer Martin Luther who was not of the best mental health had decided he was going to begin his own church and pretty much found reasons to divide the church rather then work internally to correct which had been going on for centuries...

The Catholics spent the inquisition torturing and killing anyone that had a Bible other than priests, or had other beliefs, and they kept the bible in Latin corrupting it as they went. This was the dark ages that was perpetuated by Catholic priests to keep people ignorant and controllable. Many people that were Christian were killed and martyred by the Catholic Church. So it is laughable that you are claiming no other faith is attacked other than the Catholic Church with all the blood on the Churches hands.

The Catholic Church viewed the Waldensians as unorthodox, and in 1184 at the Synod of Verona, under the auspices of Pope Lucius III, they were excommunicated. Pope Innocent III went even further during the Fourth Lateran Council in 1215, officially denouncing the Waldensians as heretics.[15][27] In 1211 more than 80 Waldensians were burned as heretics at Strasbourg, launching several centuries of persecution that nearly destroyed the movement.[28]

The book is pretty clear on this.
I need straight answers before I can approach/view Catholosism as a true monotheistic teaching that's not causing offence to our true and 'jealous' God.

Jesus said, "Those who worship must worship in spirit and in truth." The Apostle Paul wrote, "Whoever preaches a different gospel should be accursed." Yet, is baptism necessary for salvation, as Catholics teach?
Paul wrote, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved." To say that you cannot know the Lord simply by asking is to negate the beautiful simplicity of the gospel. Christ died on a Cross so that, just by asking, we can be filled with the Holy Spirit, born again! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

Calling on the name of the Lord has actions attached to it. In the apostolic times that was attaching yourself to the group and going to their services, there was no New Testament. Yes, baptism does wash away sin, which is why Peter compares it to Noah and his family getting in the ark and why Paul says we must be buried with Christ in baptism. “And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.’” Acts 22:16

@@jlouis4407 Hi. Thanks for writing. We both agree that baptism is important. However, you err greatly in saying that baptism is necessary for salvation. For example, "Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on His name." According to this passage, what must a person do to be saved? For example, does someone need to 'rise' to be saved? Suppose a person is in a wheel chair? Yet, if 'rising' is not necessary for salvation, then why, according to this verse alone, is baptism? That is, you cannot prove baptism is necessary from this verse!
Moreover, you ignore Romans 10.13, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved." Is Romans 10.13 true or do I need to be baptized to be saved?
You have changed the gospel! I shudder at the thought of you standing before God. It is as if you are saying, "Paul is lying! Calling on the Lord is not enough! You must be baptized!" Woe to you!
However, Christ died on a Cross so that, just by asking, you can know Christ. You can be seated in the heavenlies with Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit, born again - ask and you shall receive!
Yet, you have perverted the purity of the gospel with your man-made traditions. Paul wrote that whoever preaches a different gospel should be accursed.
Do you agree that whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved or is baptism necessary? Which doctrine will you go into eternity with? Which of these doctrines will Christ speak to you about when you stand before Him?
I hope that you get this right with God! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

@@jlouis4407 Hi. Thanks for writing. We agree that baptism is important, yet I disagree that it is necessary for salvation. Am I taking one verse and running with it?
Jesus said, "My Father will give the Holy Spirit to anyone who asks of Him." Is that true or do I need baptism to be born again?
Paul wrote, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10.13)." Is that true or is baptism needed for salvation?
It is also written that, if you believe in your heart ... you shall be saved. It is the beautiful simplicity of the gospel: ask and you shall receive.
Concerning the rest of the Bible, it is the instruction in righteousness. Yet, work out your salvation with fear and trembling! It is written, "The Holy Spirit bears witness that we are the children of God." Do not forget the qualifier, "If indeed the Holy Spirit dwells within you." Does this describe your standing with God? Do you have confidence in your salvation, as the Holy Spirit bears witness that you are saved? If not, then you probably are not saved!
Salvation is simply a meeting with God, an in-filling of the Holy Spirit that we receive, not by religious rituals, but by asking. After you are saved, the sacraments have meaning, yet they have no meaning alone.
Please do not ignore what is written in the Bible. Is it true that whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved? If baptism is necessary, then Paul is a liar. Yet, Christ died on a Cross so that, just by asking, we can know God. Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

How can we be sure that the Roman Catholic Church is the true religion than Eastern Catholic?

    • @StMark2411
      @StMark2411 7 лет назад +3

Al I think you meant Eastern Orthodox rather than Eastern Catholic. Eastern Catholics are in full communion with the Bishop of Rome (Pope). Orthodox are not. The Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic was one united Church until 1054 AD. They also have seven sacraments as we do, and profess the Nicene Creed as we do (with the exception of Filioque, which isn’t a theological difference so much as a language difference). It’s a hard argument to have, but I would walk the line of BOTH Churches being the Church Christ founded, but because man is flawed, WE messed that up. My true belief is that both EO and RC should be united, as we both profess to be the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. However, the schism (which is way too hard to explain in a comment) pulled the Orthodox away from the Catholic Church based on their denial of the Pope being the first among equals, which Christ himself gave the title of in giving the keys to St. Peter. Again, man made schism, not God made.

(Instead of right to left you do left to right, not that that is horrible but just...why?) I understand a lot of the catholic teachings but not those... remember, the catholic and Orthodox Church was one in the past and orthodox became its own church mainly because Catholic Church wanted the pope to have all authority. To me it makes more sense that the Orthodox Church is the truth and the right way to live. Pls someone explain some of the things I mentioned, how do you justify it?

🤔 Is Catholicism the One True Religion? It is no truer than any other the Christian dominations. Jesus preached the kingdom of god. Paul ran around and started seven churches. But it was Ignatius of Antioch, who coined the the term “Catholic Church”, which literally means “universal church” in his letter to the Smyrnaeans in roughly 110 AD ... mic drop 🎙. Catholicism no longer sees itself as the universal church, but as the One and only True Religion. Sounds like indoctrination.

The proof is there...when we choose to...the truth is there..when we believe it. If my god had 8 arms then am I a spider? If I get all the riches from the wealthiest of Gods , will I be able to take it there? The word of Christ promised us eternal life. I don't know about you but if I can live eternally then all the wealth is already mine. What is more promising than that? Catholic is very consistent but it can be easily misinterpreted because it is so promising. Human nature always has this saying that if it is to good to be true, it probably is right. That is were the disbelief come from. If other religions want to destroy the world. Is that God ? Why would he want to destroy you if he was of your image. I'd think God would have more sense than that.
