The puppies are getting so big. So cute. Cats will bring you "gifts" too. Their idea of a gift is a mouse, squirrel, baby rabbit...you name it. The present may have not been for the kittens, it very well could have been for you and your wife as a thank you for watching out for her babies. God bless you all.
I agree Bonnie! One cat (rescued as a kitten and dying in the road!) tried to bring us a gift at least once a week for the next 18 years!! She had a “here’s your present” meow that was sooooo creepy lol! She always left her gifts right at the front door, even though she came and went from the back!!! Had I valued rats/mice/lizards, I’d have been wealthy haha! She was a great cat 😻
My First Mothers Day without my Mom…just celebrated her 94th Birthday…5 days later she was gone to God. I so miss my Mom, but mom is in better hands now. ❤🙏

Golly gosh it is all systems go in the animal nursery at Doss Mansion. What an eventful week! Loved the vlog. A change is great when it is all action stations on the farm. Kitties have really grown a lot this week. As have R and R. They have really stretched out during the week. And Grey she wants those chicks! Thank you for modelling the care, respect, compassion and protection necessary to live.

P.S. One never knows what might happen in the “wild” but I have had opossums right alongside my cats for years and the only problems were the opossums between the opossums and the cats between the cats. I still have Pippy and Poppy Possum that live in my back shed and some feral cats are using my potting shed without “drama”! I do think male raccoons are very dangerous to dogs, cats, etc!

Being on acreage and surrounding areas that include woods and open land, there are too many predators for the kittens. You and LeAnn are such good stewards of your animals. My parents are gone too and the only 2 brothers I had. So 6 girls are left but were all getting old. We were never sick, no broken bones growing up but now we have health problems some worse than others. God bless you. I hope you have a animal friend even if a cat, dog, chicken, turtle, cow, horse. Happy Mother's day to all the mom's out there. I hope it will be a good one. My son is a REALLY GOOD COOK and I absolutely love his meatloaf. So today he's making me meatloaf, baked potato and wax beans. I can't wait.
Our kittens were 8 weeks old on Friday and 3 of them went to their new forever homes on Saturday. I'm not telling you what to do with the kittens, I'm just saying what I did. We gave them wet cat food in the morning and then at night. But they had dry kitten food 24 hours a day. The reason we did that was because mama would feed them during the night so they got use to eating at night. When they get a little older we might cut back on the food at night for the one we kept. But for now I think he's a little to young to go all night without food. And if mom is still nursing she still needs the calories. This just what I think.
And now you have more chicks. Congratulations. Did you see June had her calf? I was a little sadden that it wasn't Fred's. But either way he is still cute. HUGE, but cute. Lol. At first I thought they were going to have to use the truck or the tractor to pull him out. Lol. My goodness he's big.

Highlands were originally black so hoping its still Fred's. Were trying for a DNA test for Frank the tank. It was odd that June went to the pond and was where Fred had been. Hopefully its Fred's. ❤😊

My mom passed away 32 us ago. I was 31, she was 51. I still miss her. Just buried my dad on May 5…. He was 91.
