As a beginner for oil painting which hasn't done yet any shopping for mediums, I would like to see a demonstration in underpainting : a. What type of marker and what color you are using for sketching on canva? b. Is MIracle Medium oil paint ( as thinning the paint ) can be replaced with Gamblin Gamsol or LIQUITEX acrylic medium in wash-out ? please show the bottle with complete name . many thanks
Thanks for posting this video, it was quite helpful. It would be great if you could do some videos on how you personally use the various mediums in your artwork. Also great to hear they will be available in the U.S. soon! The Turnbridge collection is finally available here, so hopefully they will arrive at my door soon😊
Hey, Just want to say I love your channel! I just had a question about the mediums....Im not too sure whats Im doing wrong. I have tried using Michael Harding Miracle Medium and it just seems to melt my painting and just makes everything sticky, have you had this problem?
thanks for this video, really helpful! I use linseed oil as my medium, and gamsol as my solvent, just slightly confused - can the miracle medium replace both? Looking at doing an order and wondering if I can just buy the miracle medium on its own without having to get linseed oil and gamsol. Thanks! :)
Are the miracle mediums the same as what shows up on a search in the US for his products? At Dick Blick (US store) when I search for this products I get: Michael Harding Resin-Oil Wax Medium - is this the same product or comparable? TIA!
Hi faneedles, the resin oil wax and the miracle medium are not the same product - keep an eye out on Michael Hardings socials for their launch in the US (they've said its coming very soon)
Are these soy based? I know I have a soy based turpentine substitute from another company called Eco-Solve. I asked Tad Spurgeon and he suggested it is basically bio-disel, which if safe for humans and the paint I don't have a problem using necessarily.
Hey Jess.Could you contact Michael and ask him if he’s discontinuing his quinacridone colour’s.Iv’e just heard other manufacturers are doing so.Has me worried and a little pissed.Thank’s.
@@jessicaoliver4511 I noticed that and i’m a bit confused but probably nothing to worry about.I just swapped out alizarin crimson for quinacridone rose and i’m in love with it,seriously,i’ve even thought of bringing it to bed with me.That’s were the worry came from. It’s bad enough not being allowed lead white.Thank’s.
What is your email? I wanna see if you can ask michael Harding brand about some ideas i have, But everytime i try to get in contact for the past like 3 years they haven't responded once But it might be different from an ambassador like you emailing them. Would you like to help me with that?
Great information, thank you so much! I appreciate you addressing the Miracle Medium's arrival to the US, looking forward to it!
Glad it was helpful!

Isn’t this similar to Gamsol? Excuse my ignorance, I’m very new to oil painting.

Hes actually done the opposite and just released two new quinacridone colours in his new Brick Lane set 🎉
