      Yeah man, I took a full-time position as a professor, and then recently bought a home, so bet the two of those things I had to push pause. However, one of my goals for 2020 is to get back to putting out brand new content, so just hang in there and look forward to that coming real soon!

    "There's no such thing as bad attention for someone who gets no attention" - this is a pretty powerful realization, and one that makes a lot of sense for a lot of behavior I have witnessed and even committed myself as a kid. It's funny how spot on "Don't feed the trolls" was when it was first said so many years ago. I appreciate this video, well done.

    I am a longtime expert troll, and I can say that this analysis is correct. Usually it’s for connection, sometimes it’s to hate. And if the audience is large, then there’s a higher likelihood that both can be accomplished.

    I troll is a unhealthy person a busy body. Basically a internet stalker aka as a bully. To be honest it's not mature neither a healthy way of doing things. It okay to find someone on the internet that you admire or just put a comment on and go your own way. Yet to obess about the individual and become very toxic towards that person the behavior has really become unhealthy. To not be able to leave a person alone to the point you have developed an addiction about this person the habits you have picked up has caused a great deal of stress is is close to you if not already violating the law when it comes to harassment. Trolls can be people who break the law using the net.

    While your analysis is correct for many trolls, it's not a blanket statement for all trolls. Some trolls aren't looking to make a connection with others or even to make friends or enemies. Instead what drives them is a desire for power, and they get a thrill out of provoking reactions in people. They want to either open new conversations or to steer existing conversations in a new direction. Once they get the snowball rolling, they can sit back and watch the avalanche fall.

    • @TheRyanDavid
      @TheRyanDavid  4 месяца назад

      Yeah I basically said all that lol. The desire for power is driven by the need to feel significant, and sometimes they are just trying to shake things up and start a conversation, which isn't always bad. Also, definitely not a blanket statement, but applies to the majority for the behavior.

    Ryan, it would have been useful to define what a "troll" was at the beginning.
    It's concerning that an adjunct professor of psychology would learn from Tony Robbins.

    • @TheRyanDavid
      @TheRyanDavid  3 года назад

      Well the video was an exploration of the definition of a troll. That's why it was a YT video and not a tweet.
      And I'm a full-time professor now, and not sure exactly why that's concerning? Anyone in any profession could learn a lot from Tony, he's worked with and trained Psychologists and psychiatrists throughout his career 🤔

      "Well the video was an exploration of the definition of a troll."
      No it wasn't.
      "And I'm a full-time professor now"
      Well congratulations Prof...you had better update your bio in the description section then.
      "...he's worked with and trained Psychologists and psychiatrists throughout his career"
      Really? Thanks for the heads up. You have just convinced me never to seek help from these professions.
      I suggest you read this article and reconsider your allegiance to this narcissistic con artist:
      www.buzzfeednews.com/article/janebradley/tony-robbins-self-help-secrets

    • @TheRyanDavid
      @TheRyanDavid  3 года назад

      You really just sent me an old BUZZFEED article? Like seriously? Wow smh. I'm aware of the failed witch hunt that pseudo news outlet and author attempted. I find it ironic that you are asking for the definition of a troll, as you embody the behavior of one in my comments section. I hope you find the enlightenment that is clearly needed to learn more about Tony and the benefits of what he has to offer, as well as the benefits of talking to a qualified mental health professional such as a psychologist or psychiatrist, for your own good. And thank you for the reminder to update my bio. Take care.

NOT LIKE KIDS TODAY THAT DONT SAY ANYTHING AND NEED TO SEE A THERAPIST, OR THEY WILL KILL THE ENTIRE SCHOOL🤔🤔🤔🤔 WTF IS WRONG HERE????😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩 TROLLING IS IN THE "NEW WORD " FOR BULLYING

    • @TheRyanDavid
      @TheRyanDavid  5 лет назад

      I agree that we all need to be able to be assertive and develop the ability to stand our ground. But for those who aren't yet able to do that like you and I, there's absolutely nothing wrong with seeing a counselor or therapist before "firing back", that's the mentality we have to evolve past.

      i think a lot of trolls just want to make People think (in a way comedians sometimes do) - but somebidy that spends his whole life being ngetaive wtihout any joke behind it...is not a troll.. ist just a very lonely Person (i agree with you in this Kind of Attention Problem)
