She was such an incredible woman. After hearing her story, this brought tears in my eyes. I found a news article clipping about her death in a Bible me and my sister found in an antique store. We went with not much money, and we’re looking for a rosary. On one side of the store I had a vision I was standing in front of a bookshelf on the complete opposite end of the store. I have been here multiple times so I knew my way around this gigantic antique mall, so before we left I made sure to stop there it felt important. After we found the bible and the news article clipping, I started reading, her birthday being ‘February 17th 1901’. My birthday is February 17th, 2001. I was born 100 years later. Very beautiful woman, with such a huge heart. I’m glad that she reached out to me!
I have to say, I am not as big fan of this historic story. I don't want to get into depth about it, (I have work to do), but we fought for our liberty from a king/queen, for a nation of opportunity, not sacrifice. This story IMO, this lady, (as good hearted as she may have been), is from the early progressive movement that came here to "change the American mind", making the sacrifice of her life for others a virtue. There is noting wrong with voluntary charity, but it did not build this nation, and it did not create any greatness. She would have helped more people by building a factory and/or teaching proper science and math, and there would be no sacrifice. I am old enough to remember myself, we were ashamed of welfare,---in the land of opportunity.
This is my great grandma!
We've heard some more stories about her since we released the video. She was obviously someone special.
