- Dusty Springfield's 1960s variety show, first broadcast on 22 August 1967, with the voices of Madeline Bell, Leslie Duncan and Maggie Stredder. Her special guest is singer Mel Tormé.
Dusty would have made an excellent actress. Her facial motions and range of her voice is superb!!
She is simply exquisite, and oh so charming. What a joy to watch a whole episode.
OMG !!! Dusty's interpretation of "Can't we just be Friends" is smooth , sublime and simoly marvelous !!!! Why on earth didn't her people cconvince her to do a jazz album ??? In 1967 she was ripe and ready to step out of pop and be the next jazz sensation !!! God I miss this phenomenal woman ! Can't wait to meet you in heaven , Dusty. 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷
She sure was Pretty! She and Mel Torme were great together. Her backup singers Lesley Duncan and Margaret Strredder are no longer with us, but Madeline Bell, I believe lives in Spain. Thank you for this share.
Kiki Dee is still around too.
When the BBC was worth watching!
Excellent. Early Dusty fan. Thank you.
I love Dusty & she is in great form here... but Mel Tormé' - in his distinctive voice and virtuoso musicality - is simply magnificent. Dusty had great taste - her love for Peggy Lee, for example... & , as here, Mel T.
😲 WOW‼️‼️‼️C'EST DUSTY MAGNIFIQUE...REST PRECIOUS ANGEL 😇 DESERVEDLY FOREVER IN HEAVEN AND PARADISE ‼️❌⭕💋❤️👁️👁️🐩🐾🌻🎄🌹🎶🎼🎵🦋A ME N
Mel Torme has powerful voice.
How do you spell class? DUSTY!!!
Do you have the rest of the Dusty episodes?!
Mel Torme wrote The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an open Fire). He was also Thora Hurd's son in law!
An overrated singer.
🙄
Bet you love Cilla Black. Only morons love her.
Totally disagree with that comment!
