Leaves go in the top. Limbs go in the small tube below it.

I can hardly fit any twigs into the tube. I wonder, will it cause any damage when i put twigs into the top feeder?

It is so hard to find straight branches to feed into the tube. I find that 1 out of maybe 150 work so you are forced to use the top chute.

yeah, the only way for me is to use the top feeder. I hope some experts can explain why I shouldn't place twigs in the top.
