I live alone in London! It's the most wonderful, liberating thing any young adult should do. My goal was to do it before turning 30. Mission accomplished!
Refinery29 People talk about living alone like it’s such a foreign/rare thing. Lol I hope everyone experiences living alone at least once in their lifetime.
Really cute, eclectic, boho, stylish, apartment. Love the art/book corner too. Pretty artwork. Sunshine coming into the kitchen made me smile and gave me a sense of serenity. Teal was a good choice for the bathroom color. Also I liked your dress which was so attractive on you. It wasn't a dress that you would typically see on other women. I like it when things are not cookie cutter. Be blessed!
I'm 28 y.o. and I've lived alone for over 2 years and it's been a wonderful experience. I'll be moving in with my fiance soon so it's kind of bittersweet because my condo was the first place that was truly my own and I was able to design it exactly how I wanted. Living alone really helped me learn about myself and become more independent and responsible. But I'm excited to be starting a new chapter of my life with my future husband :)
This is probably my favorite apartment that I’ve seen in this series so far. I love how spacious this apartment is even though it’s a railroad, and you keeping it so neat maximizes even more on the space!!! $2000 is a lot, but for a single bedroom place like this in NY?? Girl, you are winning!
The funny thing about this series is all of them are constantly saying "...for New York... by New York standards..." haha but this is actually genuinely nice in its own right!
This is a spacious mansion compared to most of the other apartments I’ve seen in NYC. IMO, 600 sq ft is more than enough room for a single person. Depending on the layout, that amount of space can accommodate 2 people. It’s very beautiful, but I’m also a fan of those who have the smaller spaces. And I also think everybody should experience living alone for a period of time!
By far my favorite episode so far. Megan just seems like the type of girl you instantly want to be friends with. And even though I always feel like people in NYC pay way too much for rent, I'd pay $2000 for that apartment.
Living alone is great, you really gain a sense of independence. It's wonderful to share a home with the person you love, but it's nice to have space and that sense of control you have with living solo. LOVE her style, too. I am all about mixing multiple styles/vibes and bringing them together.
Her apartment looks so full of life and good vibration!! This is how I want to live in a couple of years. She also has an amazing personality and all of her looks so aesthetic and earthy. I loved this apartment and she really looks cool. The weird shaped vase got me like "huh?" But it was an amazing episode!
Whoa, I am not far from Carroll garden and this neighborhood is pretty expensive. So 2k is not bad. Plus her boyfriend works at the grocery shop, so that's free food!! I need to move to CG!!
I love what she says about living alone! As someone who has shared a room with a sibling and only a few years ago had my one room in the same house, I am looking forward to move in an appartment alone as I feel it would help me get to know myself better and challenge my sense of responsability, especially before commiting to any long term serious relationship.
I absolutely love Sweet Digs. I look for new episodes every week. I would like to see a man’s apartment...just to see how the other half lives lol. I think they all have been women commentators so far.
Dope spot!!!! Love all of the light and the plants! seems very affordable for NYC! I agree that living alone is a big accomplishment and something to be proud of!😊
best one I’ve watched thus far... she seems warm & thoughtful, her organization & style create a cozy but fun place, and this is the first apt I’ve thought was worth the high $ price tag.
This is the best apartment tour of this series so far (next to Diana’s tour from season one). That bathroom is beautiful. Plus, the plants. So many reasons. She’s also a natural on camera. Adorable apartment all around.
Woah $2,000 for 600sq thats such a good deal! The other apartments they featured are just half of your apartment! I love how it looks super hip but earthy and just sooo you. This was a good video!
What a sweet woman! You did really well! I used to live in Carroll Gardens for 8 years when it was still affordable, but you found are really nice and bright place at a good price for the current market. I used to love shopping at Swallow. Enjoy! Also, that vase...
reminds me of the dress *Ashley Kai* was wearing *[$1750 in L.A.]* although •hers• was long and from my end, a kind of muted mustard yellow (not sure if the camera translated the color?)..but similar vibe, both outfits, imho..and i don't think *i'd* look good in either - but both of the ladies looked comfortably 'at home' and absolutely beautiful and elegant in those dresses..and maybe it's something *only* worn at home? and/or in a 'homey' environment?..but to me, they each looked lovely!: and like sisters from another mister..well, they'd fit right into *my* extended, *'United Nations'* 🌈 family, anyway, *LoLoL!!* 😆 if they *were* sisters in a parallel Life! 💁🏾 😄
New York millennials love their plants. Us southern millennials with backyards and acres of land keep dogs. Simply a man’s best friend. Cool seeing the difference.
I loved living alone. I was never lonely. I just enjoyed the hell out of it. I had roommmates off and on, and I loved them too,. Now I’ve been married for 29 years and have 3 children, 19, 17, and 13, (all still at home at the moment, one leaving the nest in a couple of months) but love this stage too. I guess I’m well adaptable.😄
I got married after college. I sort of lived alone because my husband was in the submarine service of the Navy. His duty was 3 months on shore and 3 months out to sea. I liked both 3 month segments of my life. It was the best of both worlds. You seem like a really nice person and I would be happy to live next door to you.
I just watched your Sweet Digs video. I know it's been awhile since you posted it but I just wanted to say how much I loved it, as for the sofa, I love the color it is although I did see in the comments someone say blue and I think a deep blue would look gorgeous, maybe in a velvet type fabric. I personally stay with neutrals because you can add color with pillows and throws. I heard you mention how living alone is character building and I must agree although mine came through in a sad way. I moved straight from my parents home to being married at 16, he recently past so for the 1st time at 54 I'm living alone. Good or bad it is a great way to learn about yourself, I highly recommend it. Well God bless and hope things turned out great for you!! Love an update
i live alone and this is the first host that i felt close in every opinion about living alone. i love how organized she is and how much she knows it matters.
One of the best ones so far ... nice and clear space and not so expensive compared to other small apartments? Maybe the fact that she keeps it so cleared up, gives you the impression that its bigger? Anyways, lovely home!!!
I'm currently writing a book about a girl who lives in a $2,000 apartment in Brooklyn, so this video was incredibly convenient for me to get a feel of what you can get with that price!
Beautiful apartment! Love all the natural lighting, and the plants. I want lots of plants in my apartment. Love how it's laid out as well. Very good floor plan.
This is the first time on nyc digs that I can say the space to price ratio is decent and that I would actually rent this place. Love it! The living room is a tad narrow but compared to the other places it's awesome! Living alone is so nice!
the key to living in a small apartment is order and organization, if you have a lot of things it is a problem, unless you can make everything in order. It is difficult but you get used to it, in my case I live with what I really need it costs in principle but you adapt, now I like the simple and minimalist, because I have no other option hahahaha :)
Her apartment seems so spacious for 600 square feet. So bright and airy, I agree that the couch is overpriced. I did see comments about it being “mid century modern collection piece “...,,,,ummmmm yeah....,overpriced and the purchase could have been better. Overall a great looking apartment! Cute!
I live in Florida now going on 30 years, it has changed way too much, traffic is like California so ur not missing much. However, you have the best love 💕 story, and ur place looks like it could be on the cover of Home & Gardens, so beautiful! Your couch looks great I wouldn’t change it at all. What made you leave Florida if you don’t mind me asking? Traffic is gonna make us more pretty soon. Have fun in NY 😊
Have you ever lived alone? Comment your experiences below! :)

Mikala Smith - it’s my fav too !! the kitchen is absolutely beautiful
It’s Carroll Gardens not Manhattan so price is fair not cheap.

ohhh wow love how she decorated her home. so vibrant and earthy and homey. :)
and she cooks !!!
That extra beat the editor left in after "I don't know why" was genius. :D

+dilanrosario We think so, too! :)
That "weird shape" is a dick, honey!
Oh you know why you like that Vase... lol 🤣🍆👏
Veronica Munos 😂😂😂😂 the awkward 3 seconds of silence got me lol
@@miam4229 at what min did she say that?
I think even my little girl would have shouted, "It's a penis!" Kids know these things. LOL!!
Veronica Munos I was looking for someone to say it 😂👏🏼
Hahahaha came here to find this comment!! 😂
Reupholstering the couch in a blue would be really pretty.
Jacqueline Balderrama your right! Maybe a teal or the shade of blue in the bathroom
Yeah I was thinking a Teal or light blue also! Plus the rug she under it would look nice with a brighter color
Ooh agreed. Or a blush rose
Love the view of the train from the window
Her place is gorgeous! She’s got fantastic taste. Aahh I want to be able to afford my own place one day
I think this is my favourite Sweet Digs apartment tour yet
I love the aesthetic of her apartment
+joannejones Same!
All the plants!!!!
+awkward #alltheplants
"I just love this vase, I don't know why" *proceeds to licks lips* LMFAO I think we know why
This apartment is so lovely... 💝
Whoa, I am not far from Carroll garden and this neighborhood is pretty expensive. So 2k is not bad. Plus her boyfriend works at the grocery shop, so that's free food!! I need to move to CG!!
2K is pretty good deal for Carroll Gardens. If that apartment was on the Manhattan side of the Brooklyn Bridge the rent would be least $3500
She has one of the nicest appt ever! Especially for ny
I love what she says about living alone! As someone who has shared a room with a sibling and only a few years ago had my one room in the same house, I am looking forward to move in an appartment alone as I feel it would help me get to know myself better and challenge my sense of responsability, especially before commiting to any long term serious relationship.
Exactly what I'm experiencing living alone! You have to do it at least once in your life.
living alone is the BEST. love her and her space!
I absolutely love Sweet Digs. I look for new episodes every week. I would like to see a man’s apartment...just to see how the other half lives lol. I think they all have been women commentators so far.
i second this
+maamajamma Thanks for your input!
maamajamma men don’t live alone they can’t survive they would starve to death😜
Men? NYC? Roaches. Thats how you get roaches.
always waiting new episode of sweet digs every week!!
Dope spot!!!! Love all of the light and the plants! seems very affordable for NYC! I agree that living alone is a big accomplishment and something to be proud of!😊
One of my favorite apartments, I'm in love with all the greenery.
+lidiacardenas Same!
Her place looks so peaceful
She has more space than others I think. Love the floors. I like the texture of the fabric on the couch.
That's a great space and I love the design that Megan has gone with. It's personal and homely yet stylish. Love it!
Sweet digs is my favorite video series from Refinery29! Love the apartment!
That vase! Really caught my attention.
This is my favorite apartment tour you’ve done. I love how earthly and simple her apartment is.
I am obsessed with this apartment wow
best one I’ve watched thus far... she seems warm & thoughtful, her organization & style create a cozy but fun place, and this is the first apt I’ve thought was worth the high $ price tag.

I love watching these since I have a one bedroom and I suck at decorating lol
Her apartment is my absolute favorite out of all the sweet digs features
Boho aesthetic is your style. I love it
Fav apartment and person thus far 💕
Woah $2,000 for 600sq thats such a good deal! The other apartments they featured are just half of your apartment! I love how it looks super hip but earthy and just sooo you. This was a good video!
+anneskakrirideska Thanks for watching!!
What a sweet woman! You did really well! I used to live in Carroll Gardens for 8 years when it was still affordable, but you found are really nice and bright place at a good price for the current market. I used to love shopping at Swallow. Enjoy! Also, that vase...
watching her trying to stifle her own laugh at the phallic vase was hilarious.
I super like this apartment. Very calming and cozy. I definitely think the couch would be lovely reupholstered in velvet. And I love Megan's dress!
What a beautiful apartment, but where is that dress from??
reminds me of the dress *Ashley Kai* was wearing *[$1750 in L.A.]* although •hers• was long and from my end, a kind of muted mustard yellow (not sure if the camera translated the color?)..but similar vibe, both outfits, imho..and i don't think *i'd* look good in either - but both of the ladies looked comfortably 'at home' and absolutely beautiful and elegant in those dresses..and maybe it's something *only* worn at home? and/or in a 'homey' environment?..but to me, they each looked lovely!: and like sisters from another mister..well, they'd fit right into *my* extended, *'United Nations'* 🌈 family, anyway, *LoLoL!!* 😆 if they *were* sisters in a parallel Life! 💁🏾 😄
Doen Charlotte Dress! Long sold out though :(
Such a beautiful apartment!!! Lots of day light and very neat!
Nothing..it gets you NOTHING lol. I did a Zillow search and under $2000 is almost non existent
Did you only search midtown Manhattan or did you search the other 95% of the city
New York millennials love their plants. Us southern millennials with backyards and acres of land keep dogs. Simply a man’s best friend.
Cool seeing the difference.

She has great energy. So far, this has been my favorite episode of the series.
My favorite apartment iv seen in this series. Its so bright, clean and fresh. I love it.
+julia We love it, too!
I love the white kitchen with her green plants. And yes the sunlight that's shines in the kitchen makes it look bright and vibrant!

Definitely my favourite apartment so far! Decorated so beautifully
she is awesome and hilarious! lol I like her and her apartment and love story lol
First of all 2k for a 1 bd in Nyc is a steal! She needs to be making at least 6k😳 oh and Im in love with that couch😍
She has such a serene, timeless sense of style.
she's so organized! I love this space and I think it's the right pricing for all that she gets. I also like the shower actually.
The couch definitely could do better though 😁..but love the place!
Beautiful place, love the wooden floors and brick. I know that’s common in New York.
Such a lovely apartment layout. Wonderful light & such a great size. Please do reupholster that fabulous sofa.
i live alone and this is the first host that i felt close in every opinion about living alone. i love how organized she is and how much she knows it matters.
What a lovely person, she speaks honestly and direct, wonderful communicator !
Her place is lovely! My fave so far. Keep the yellow on the couch! (The vase bit hahah)
I lovvvve the apartment is super fresh, bright and spacious. I think the price is super fair. ❤️❤️
I love the way its all put together! adds so much character to it.
One of the best ones so far ... nice and clear space and not so expensive compared to other small apartments? Maybe the fact that she keeps it so cleared up, gives you the impression that its bigger? Anyways, lovely home!!!
Love her place and the way she decorated. i love the couch how it is now, but redoing it would be cute too!
What a beautiful home. She has a really great sense of style. And it's so organized and neat!
yess I thought you guys forgot about this series. so glad theres a new episode
+skadaddle We upload Sweet Digs every other week on Sunday's!
This was the best episode so far..and definitely seems to be the apartment that is the most worth the money
Kitchen is lovely. Plus the natural light makes the apartment alot more vibrant. Couch is cute, the color goes well with the decor.
I'm currently writing a book about a girl who lives in a $2,000 apartment in Brooklyn, so this video was incredibly convenient for me to get a feel of what you can get with that price!
She's soo cool and a natural communicator
Can you ask her who makes the dress she’s wearing? It’s beautiful!
Beautiful apartment! Love all the natural lighting, and the plants. I want lots of plants in my apartment. Love how it's laid out as well. Very good floor plan.

This is sooooooooo cute! I just shared it with my line sister who’s currently apartment hunting
I love this series, it’s like the universe accepting how nosy I am
Your apartment is one of the best that has been featured so far. Real estate in New York is 500% luck. If I snagged that place I would never leave!
I really like this home. The way she has sheer white drapes with those brick walls is appealing. And all of the plants are beautiful.
My fave sweet digs so far..💜💜💜 light, airy and fresh
Woah I love her and her style! She seems so down to earth and nice. Very cool place too!
Wow, that’s a lot of space for 2,000 a month. So nicely decorated and open.
2k in Carroll Gardens for that apartment is so worth it to me !!
One of my favorite apartments that have been featured in this series! So so pretty!
Might be my favorite My Sweet Digs yet. I love her home style! ❤
Your place is huge!
This place has great lighting, and love the plants. I also hate your shower 🚿
the key to living in a small apartment is order and organization, if you have a lot of things it is a problem, unless you can make everything in order. I love your apartment!! That mirror and couch is to die for. So far I love your apartment is my favorite

So funny!!!
Omg omg I love her apartment so much it’s so like Pinterest 😂
dating myself.. But that is my old neighbor hood. Rent was $70....same exact layout. The best memories😁
LOVE the sensibility of the design! And get new cushions altogether for the sofa- thicker, fluffier, more comfy and modern:)
This place is SUPER cool. I love the layout and the decor. My favorite place on this series. She also is someone I want to be my friend v much.
I love this series. It gives me great design and decorating ideas for my little apartment.
