What is never mentioned about the woke lot, is not only the incredible foolishness, but the staggering arrogance of dismissing the experience of people who have lived at least twice as long as them, particularly those who have been through genuine hardship. People like Lily Allen speak about white privilege - Well she has indeed lived a privileged existence. She was born into a life where she could be a pop star simply because she decided to be one. That luxury was certainly not afforded to the working class kids of the same age, and people with far more musical talent probably ended up working in factories and dissuaded from pursuing a music career. The true meaning of wisdom is knowing that you know nothing. We all thought we knew everything in our early twenties, but time, experience and the intelligence to be open to different views, gradually shows us that we do not. It is well known that the older a person gets, generally they will develop more conservative views. In his final year, John Lennon confided in his assistant that he would have voted for Reagan. That is the result of a mind strengthened by experience.
This, this is what is needed. His point at the end about the Coulson statue - woke isn't all bad but it's gone too far, I'm pretty sure represents the majority of public opinion. British people are pragmatic and fundamentally decent - we can change, we embrace change, we just want it to be reasonable and sensible and aligned with our values which have always been creative and accepting. Please oh please let GB News succeed and continue to tap all these voices from the British public (like the video questions form the public!) and reasonable level-headed celebs.

I had to coach softball, and often my students could be heard shouting "you retard" across the field to one another. God, how that director of studies hated me!
How refreshing to see real people with real opinions talking freely. Roger asked who would want to be a leader these days. Well, a good leader is one who does the best for his or her country and pays no heed to the angry people on social media who are always angry anyway. We vote for the policies we want and for the party that will push them through. We don’t vote for dithering jellyfish. If Ron DeSantis, the Governor of Florida, was a candidate for PM here in Australia he would get my vote for sure. He has shown a lot of strength and decisiveness and his State is doing well. This covid catastrophe has shown how weak most leaders are - headless chooks basically, led by the nose by a hysterical media that made a drama of every death, most of which have been the old and the already sick. When the headline of the day is ‘a 95 year old man has died of covid’ you know we’re being sold a crock. It would be nice to get facts instead of a narrative intended to control our thinking.
