UPDATE I did a head shave with the razor. I had a few days growth and the blades clogged alot, I had to get out a disposable 3 blade I had to hand to do a first pass and then did a second with this 6 blade version. After this I would say the razor is good if you shave daily, but several days growth could lead to clogging.
ATTENTION!!!! Dollar Shave Club does not sell Aldi razors. They resell the Dorco Pace 6 Plus which you can buy directly from Dorco's website for much cheaper than what the DSC membership costs. Dorco is a South Korean company who sells their razors to the low value stores and lots of different grocery stores across europe and america.
Christian Dyers Hi. Yes i make it very clear this is a DORCO razor. What i say is it (the pace 6) is the same one being used as the home brands in Sainsbury's and ALDI. (Of course there are technically two ALDI's as it is from germany, and also there are moves from the Personna 3&5 blades to the Dorco 4 & 6 blades within its homebrand range at present). Yes I did not like the shave butter either.
In the UK they are now back to the Edgewell product. Many do not realise there are 2 Aldi's and in the UK the logo recently changed, i am not sure if it is the North or the South Aldi. And all the fuss because the two brothers had a difference of oppinion on selling cigarettes, so they split the origional company.
@@maconescotland8996 Aldi did have Dorco, but Edgewell clearly did a good job at reversing the move over to Dorco. Edgewell I think k have listened to my channel as they clearly have been on a land grab for bricks and mortar stores, even adding to the range with the Bulldog razor. Mind you they do not need to risk money on subscriptions when they are supplying others who have raised money for venture capital (So Edgewell has no risk and continues to always get paid with no costly marketing).
Box arrived today, they *literally* sell recoloured Aldi-brand shaving items. I'm not even joking, razor handle is recoloured Aldi-brand and the cartridges and the plastic holder they come in is recoloured Aldi-brand!
+Scar Hi thanjs for the comment. I do mention this in the video with the image of the Aldi Razor replacements at half the price. They are a Dorco product who are the manufacturer. Aldi and DSC and Sainsburys are just the retailer.
It's certainly a different country (and not even a neighbouring on) and over 600km. Odd they would launch in UK (but no where else in Europe ) but fullfil in Germany.
@@conor-_C Solingen is the city in Germany you are meaning, also known as the city of blades (where Edgewell are made). However this product is not made in Germany it is made in Korea. So they 're shipped from Korea to Germany and then on to the UK, Dorco are not manufactured in Germany so having it shipped to a UK distribution centre from Korea would make more sense than to a Germany who then send to the UK (and not even to Germany)
Ash9420 longer than i should have, but then it did come from Germany!!! So buying South Korean, from an initial American company, who has a UK division that is totally owned by a Netherlands company, and is then distributed from Germany. So I guess it should be expected 😂😂🤣🤣.
Majd Azar It is standard UK size. It will take a package up to about 30-40mm thick, but the DSC box is about 55mm thick. So no joy, had to go to the post office, which was a big pain in the arse and cost me for parking.
How did you find it compared to the Bic Shave Club razor? I’ve tried both and really like the Bic (with my usual gel). I’ve only tried the DSC razor with the included shave butter and hated it (left my neck sore and there were some missed patches) but might give it another go with my usual gel.
CHANNEL M Thanks for the comment. The razor is fine, i like the head on the BIC better but i do not like the ball bearing button on its handle. I think it would get clogged with soap scum eventually. I can not help but still like the 3 blade razors more than the 5 plus bladed versions, but then I do not need the reverse trimmer that some people seem to love. I am affraid i have tried so many now it is hard to pick a favorite as the differences are so small these days with the quality of everyone improving. I actually like the very cheap Lidl 2 blade razor and use this over any 4 /5 /6 or 7 bladed razor. I really wanted to like the shave butter, but when it squirted out it looked to me like spunk (their recent advert doea not help on this image either with the ball drying in the gym). I hated the tingle and that it was another clear formula. I love to use a very cheap shaving soap stick, it laters well and lasts for ages. It appears i am a man that is easily pleased with some budget options out there. Using the Lidle razor and the shave soap I recon i could shave all year for about £10 (razor and 25 carts was under £4 and the soap is 50p a stick). But I now review all the razors as a hobby as it were and clearly spend a lot more that anyone would do normally on razors. Yes I know it is an unusual hobby.
I'm waiting for my Humble Twin to try...aka.. I can use it to some of those Gillette Atra/Personna Blades ...15 for 5.99$ CDN lol 3.63 CDN to start, but the blades if I choose to use them still in the future...is cheaper to order a 30 Pack from Dorco USA and pay the amount up front for less.....and yes.. Butter is Better on Toast....

@@GeekOfShaves I'll check that out. Yeah it's bad for the enviroenment because it's plastic but plastic can be made from hemp and if it were then it's natural and would bio degrade. I’ve bought this trial kit and it’s absolutely brilliant and I’m happy with, but saying that i actually do have proper facial hair to shave off. On the "low foam formula", I figure it's because you can actually see what you're doing a bit better, and it's less messy.
Nathus Dorkus The original from the 1993 and still one of the best no foam gels has to be the King Of Shaves.
