I don't know if anybody mentioned it, but on the Goryeo, you can repair the little boat next to Benkei so he can get off the ship to get to Sei-An city. It probably gives you some praise and also would make the storyline a bit more logical ^^
I remember when I first played this game, I was so amazed by how well they fit the two games together, especially considering the fact that it was developed by different people. I love the attention to detail, hooking the stories up so that it somewhat extended the plot of Okami, explaining the lucky mallet and the place where you found it more in depth. Now I play Okami, and find myself feeling kinda sad as I explore that area, compared to the way I didn't care about it at all before Okamiden.
Wow 4:52 did not age well Feels weird going back through chugga’s old lps where he was more negative about himself, Also the progression of audio quality
Man, seeing all those sailors put on brave faces, saying how they're going to whup the Water Dragon's ass, is REALLY REALLY DARK since all of them die.
I feel like those deaths weren't necessary. If they had just used the hammer on all the people and Chibi, he could have carried them all to safety and then turned them back to normal size. As we saw in Okami, the mallet does affect weight, hence the chest you get by riding the one dude's foot, so it would have been easy for Kurow to carry them all and the mallet. I suppose that doesn't make for as good a plot, but it makes for a lot happier one, that's for sure.
Agniko Fireking imagine that in the first game the mallet didn't change the weight. Amy jumps and the whole tree stump experiences an level 10 earthquake
When I went through the Goryeo the first time, I knew it was the Sunken Ship from Okami. And when I got to the scene that's shown at the end of this video, I literally said: "Rest in peace, Goryeo crew."
Chugga what you did at the end with compairing the image with the 2 games I take my hat off to you Made me sad just watching it and the music was spot on for that
Oh my goodness, do they not let up on the "feels train" ride? That moment when you realize you've been riding a ghost ship this whole time, the ghost ship from Okami to be precise. Yup, seasoned players/let's play watchers had it right here.
@@leoadhiwibowo8426 Poor Chibi his heart must've broke when he sees the ship sink knowing he can't do anything to change the past. He suffered way more than his mom Ammy did.
@@katelynthewhitewerewolf6376 It's sad that Chibi as the son of Amaterasu can't prevent that huge galleon merchant's ship to sunk to to the ocean. If Chibi can protect the ship from sinking to the ocean maybe citizen's around Ryoshima coast and Yamataikoku won't lost their precious belongings and precious goods that shipped by that Galleon Ship and we don't need to explores that ghost ship in Amaterasu timeline😅
i love what chugga did with the ending, where he showed the picture of the goryio from okamiden and then faded it into what it looked liked after in okami.
Thinking about what is happening is really hard, this moment when I understood that this boat was the same haunted boat in Okami. Everything is logic, this is why the lucky mallet is in there...
Now that we're past this, I can safely say that when I first ended up on the Goryeo and had wandered for a moment I knew exactly which ship I was in...and how it was going to end. It hurt wandering around that ship, but I didn't expect still being around when it got destroyed by the Water Dragon. This scene almost made me cry when I played through it and almost did the same thing now.
The sad music always makes me tear up a little... And Chibi crying doesn't help either. I guess you could say that he's tearfully sentimental though, right?
I have a reason why the Old Imps drop the new items for Chibi. I say it's because Ammy knew she would need the fangs in her travels so the floral finishers were a easy way of stealing the fangs off the dieing body. Since Chibi doesn't have a use for the fangs he takes the skins or livers which apparently have the same or greater powers to the current skin and livers of the demons in his time. Either way they forcefully take parts of a dead demon. Very gruesome.
Man, if the basic enemies are a struggle for chibi, I'd hate to see how he would fare against the bosses of that game. :| Also, nice image morph touch at the end, it was such a tear-jerker.
Wow, not only does this show how Nanami lost the Wet & Dry Jewels to Bullhead, but it also shows the origin of the sunken ship from Okami. And now Chibiterasu's crying......awww...
1) I thought that only Issun's species could understand the likes of Chibi. 2) Didn't the Knowledge Jewel (or whatever) say that Akuro had to purify a being of light in Orochi's blood and then merge with that being, rather than purify himself with the blood?
Even though I'm excited that we may see Ammy and Issun in the past(I haven't played Okamiden), I did feel sad to see the water dragon sink the ship that Ammy explored later on. A moment of silence for all the people on the ship, especially the old man.
Chuggaa. on the TGS podcast you said that pkmn black/white 2 doesn't have many triple/rotation battles. i have played to the 7th badge, and rotation battles and triple battle do get a bit more love later. if i remember correctly there has so far been about 15 or so double and triple battles, without them being entirely optional (not extra battles in the several places you can do extra battles) and there might be even more.
Oh wow. And Amaterasu is a fully grown wolf. Chibi is just a cub. Demon fangs probably take a bit more grisly effort (in both physical fighting and more powerful ink as opposed to what might be charcoal) than scrounging up skin and organs. He's not experienced enough to rip out fangs just yet.
Yes, but they traveled back in time A few episodes ago to 9 months in the past, before Amaterasu defeated the Water Dragon in an attempt to calm it down, and to obtain the Dragon Orb lodged in its stomach.
For those of you who need/want all the praise you can get, if you check Benkei's boat or talk to him a second time, you will be able to use Rejuvenation on it to get a decent amount of praise. I believe you check it.
I think by now it's okamiden's mission to make you cry whenever they can.
Chibi crying... That's okay, I didn't need my feels today;;;
Thats why the Lucky Mallet is there in Okami
Awwwn, I just want to hug chibi, that cry of his makes me so sad.
wait that mean nanami was searching for Tue wet and dry jewels for 9 months
I don't know if anybody mentioned it, but on the Goryeo, you can repair the little boat next to Benkei so he can get off the ship to get to Sei-An city. It probably gives you some praise and also would make the storyline a bit more logical ^^
18:15, that little whimper when the tears start falling is just heartbreaking! :'(
The wolf tears hold so much feels.
This whole part of the game was just terrible to go through cause you knew what was going to happen...And then THOSE PUPPY TEARS! *sobs*

Ohh noo! Seeing Chibi crying was the saddest thing ever! my heart can't take it
4:30 Moments that did not age well. Do not apologize to that man.
that outro was so... perfect... T_T
Man, seeing all those sailors put on brave faces, saying how they're going to whup the Water Dragon's ass, is REALLY REALLY DARK since all of them die.
Considering what we found out Bill Cosby did, you don't need to apologize...
I -love- how Chibi just pulls out the mallet so proudly. It's adorable.
In Okami, I believe you find a couple survivors on the beach where the ghost ship is. Apparently Benkei also survived and made his way to the city.
No chibi do not cry noo
Him talking about Bill Cosby.... oooh that won’t have aged well
to think this whole time the onigiri sensei was a sailor who survived a shipwreck after fighting a dragon
7 years ago was a different world entirely, seeing all the love for Bill Cosby in the comments is bizarre
Oh emile did not know about bill at the point the power of the future
*Nanami starts to say goodbye and then her jewels get taken* That explains that. *She swims after them* See You In 9 Months!
This explains all what happened in Okami. How we found the lucky mallet at the sunken ship! Pretty good stuff
And that was the first time a god cryed for humans
I feel like those deaths weren't necessary. If they had just used the hammer on all the people and Chibi, he could have carried them all to safety and then turned them back to normal size. Sugar Kane but it obviously does, otherwise the situation I described above could not have happened.
Agniko Fireking also, you obviously don't know human stubbornous/stupidity. The sailors will never get off the ship if chibi asked.
Sugar Kane They wouldn't have had a choice if Kurow had just used it on them and asked questions later.
But the people would still retaliate somehow.

The ending of the episode is the exact moment when Okamiden started tearing my heart into pieces.
its so awsomo how the picture at the end of the episode changed from the ship in okamiden to the sunken ship in okami, well done emile :D
Insert Bill Cosby joke here
*INSERT*
I didn't sign up for this feels trip;-;
If Akuro was part of Yami. Was he originally the goldfish thing.
I agree with you at 11:06. The poses that these imps make when you use your brush is way too funny!
Your comments at 4:45 about Bill Cosby did not age well...
Why didn't they just shrink Chibi with the wodden mallet?
Chugga what you did at the end with compairing the image with the 2 games I take my hat off to you

@Husam132 The song's name is Sorrow. It's from the Okamiden Soundtrack. You should listen to the whole album too, it's amazing.
Thinking about what is happening is really hard, this moment when I understood that this boat was the same haunted boat in Okami. Everything is logic, this is why the lucky mallet is in there...
Thanks chuggaa because of you I got okamiden from eBay.you inspired me to get a great game
16:52 HE IS GOING SUPER SAIYIN
Yep. The Lucky Hammer is still there on the ship, and that's where Ammy gets it. So I like that little connection.
Oh crap that's a damn good image transition at the end. Not going to spoil it for those who haven't played Okami but damn it looks so mesmerizing.
Outright pocket is really cool! I like how it changes to the underwater version.
When you're repeatedly power slashing those green imps, they look like they're doing some kind of disco dance move.

I love that part at the end of the video. Its there to remind us that chibi is still a child
chibi is the cutest nintendo character ever not a single bit of dialogue and manages to make funny and sad emotions
That is one of the saddest moments I could have ever expected, even sadder when you add Chibi crying...*sniffle*
If you notice the man said finsy was with two CRABS. These became those two crab demons that make a shark demon in okami.
Poor Nanami spent the next nine months searching for the Wet and Dry Jewels.
Same... That cutscene made me cry. Poor brave doomed fools.
No, Chibi, don't cry :'(
The sad music always makes me tear up a little... And Chibi crying doesn't help either. I guess you could say that he's tearfully sentimental though, right?
I never notice that the wet and dry jewel was holding up her hair that surprized me and im RARELY surprized.
This is also nostalgic to Okami. This area was the sunken ship in Okami. Did you notice that?
Love what you did there with the ending picture.
Aww! I nearly cried when Chibi did towards the end! Poor pup! He wanted to prevent the ship wreck from happening! : (
i will like this in memory of all those brave souls lost....may they rest in peace

As soon as his say the games trying to make amends, it gives him a dead tree ranking.
The ending made me cry when chibi cried and the song added the saddnrss
Never before have i wanted to see the next episode so badly
Kurow looks like one of the angels from Tales of Symphonia.And...the sailors didn't have it under control...
Yes he can, he's clearly shown being told by Chibi what he learned and reacted to it
In the beginning recap of last episode, Chuggaaconroy said that Akuro wanted to become perfect with the Yin and the Yang.
It's so sad that you actually get to see the boys father before he died. And it sucks just knowing that they weren't able o stop the water dragon...
When Yami died, he broke into parts. Akuro is Yami's mind. Many of the other bosses in Okamiden were his body parts.
major flashbacks to the first game......and there's the reason that happened
I have translated that last bit of text, it took hours of studying and a decoder ring. It says, "Drink more Ovaltine!"
@keiferackles not all, benkei and two sailors survived the attack. the captain and the old man, yeah i think they passed on.
This is pretty much the second saddest scene in the game, and knowing what was gonna happen thanks to Okami did not make it any better :(
1) I thought that only Issun's species could understand the likes of Chibi.
2) Didn't the Knowledge Jewel (or whatever) say that Akuro had to purify a being of light in Orochi's blood and then merge with that being, rather than purify himself with the blood?
KhymChanur 1. That was in the times when people lost faith in the gods.
2. That's Kurow misinterpreting.
anyone else think "he was once yami - main villain of okami" sounded like the start of a rap?
When i played through this game, i saw chibi cry and knew what was coming, yet i still cried when i saw the ship get taken down.
Even though I'm excited that we may see Ammy and Issun in the past(I haven't played Okamiden), I did feel sad to see the water dragon sink the ship that Ammy explored later on. A moment of silence for all the people on the ship, especially the old man.
I love how proud Chibi looks holding the Lucky Mallet
the ship ammy went on before... was that one.
a moment of silence for the brave men on that ship...

eugh poorly aged comment right there for mr cosby
Nanami was chasing the catfish for 9 months. Talk about dedication.
It kind of is. But remember, the boat was destroyed not too long after Amaterasu defeated Orochi.
And the ship is destroyed with 1 survivor .
So that's how ammy found the lucky mallet in there.
i love hearing chuggaas voice he should be a stand up comic
For those of you who need/want all the praise you can get, if you check Benkei's boat or talk to him a second time, you will be able to use Rejuvenation on it to get a decent amount of praise. I believe you check it.
He never reveals that until like one or two days before the first episode of that project is released.
ALAS, poor Sunken ship. I knew ye crew well. Although doomed by canon, you still rule. We will remember you.
The sunken ship........The creepiest place in Okami and my favourit location song from Okamiden.
Well, the demons still had livers. Maybe it's just Chibi that can extract it with his floral finishers.
Doing the Sunken Ship dungeon in Okami after getting past this part in Okamiden makes it even sadder😭😭😭
