Here is my first cover of my own song! Hope you enjoy it.
Fun Facts about my song:
-I beatboxed in the song at 0:35.
-The track starts at 138bpm, and slows down to 128 right before the 3rd drop.
-The lead was made in Serum.
-The 808 is a KSHMR Sample.
-This video only shows the first 2 drops. Checkout the last one here: smarturl.it/asylum
-And finally, the melody for the drop was written on piano...ironic for an aggressive drop.
How to know the video is really being played:
-Claps (shooting off pink lights) are played with the left hand, and only play when I hit that button in the lower left: 0:14
-Snare pattern played in the build sounds slightly offbeat because the samples are played me, not a computer: 0:21
-Mistiming of a sample results in a delayed downbeat of the song: 1:22
-Slow down the song and you can see me hit every button.
-I'm giving out the project file so people can play it themselves. Look around for other videos of people playing this cover.
-If i'm going through all the trouble of hitting these buttons to the exact tempo of the music, and playing every note, why would I not throw samples in and make it real ?

I can only play the first part (A) on my launchpad mini mk2 :( Anybody any solution? So when I hit B (the 2. one at the right) it doesnt change anything and keeps playing midi 1

redo the "MIDI" mapping, top right of Ableton. Click Drum Rack 1's red arm button on the bottom, and then the circular launchpad button to pair the two. Then do it for the rest of the drum racks and the yellow light tracks. hope you get it!
