This device is a launchpad S: a 64 button grid that is able to be programmed with Ableton and Fl Studio. It is made by the company Novation. You can program audio and lights into it, and then play it! Its like a piano, but you can change and sculpt the keys to whatever way and sound that you want. I love my launchpad, its the best xD

I've watched enough Launchpad videos to know that you are actually doing this. It's not "just a lightshow" as some people might say. Also, it's easier to know that you have buttons that have audio samples programmed to them because sometimes you press them too soon.
It's good though. I haven't started doing it myself, (I plan to get a launchpad eventually) but this takes some hardcore work man. Props.

So, this used to confuse me too. But the way that a launchpad works is, you press the button and it plays on the next beat. It doesn't instantly play when you hit the button.

Launchpad videos are so sad because most musicians aren't as involved with the song as they should be. Look at Nev, Shawn Wasabi, and Exige. They don't link one long sound to each key. They link small sounds to each key so that they're constantly moving their hands, keeping the viewer thoroughly entertained and impressed.
Watching this one, I feel like I could do it at home, and I should not feel that way.

Hey Voltapix, when I press the second button to switch to the Soldiers samples it doesnt work and keeps playing razor Sharp how do I fix it?
check if the red clock symbol appears next to drum rack 2. if not click it on
It doesnt appear so I have to manually select it on the drum rack so I dont know how to set it so i dont have to do that
go to options>preferences and check (on midi ports) that for both the input and output, that track and remote are switched on. that should work
It still doesnt switch to the next chain :/

MasterYoda111 right click on the Red clock symbol (or go to options) >MIDI Allocation >leftclick, where usually the clock symbol is(under MIDI and Drumrack) and press the 1.(on my pro its a triangle) Button for both(MIDI and Drumrack) on your Launchpad.2.MIDI and Drummrack-2.Button and so on .If u didnt get it i will send u a Email or something 😁😀😁

I appreciate that you continue to make these, and that you reply to your commentors, I am planning to get one myself and it would be lovely to get a tutorial from you, as this here looks REALLY advanced.. but it's mostly the lightshows! Just a little bit to your future references - work a little bit more on those cuts.. try to make it as Syncronized as possible.. It's good, but it could be better so that we won't hear the cuts as good as we do now!

i hate when the people arnt even playing the song on the launchpad. rather just pressing buttons to actuate a segment of the song

Let's see u program this board and then memorize exactly where to push buttons every second for like 3 minutes. Yeah, it's not insane, but it still takes lots of talent, so I wouldn't be talking
Wilutube03 This song needs no talent, anyone could play it after couple weeks of practising (no offence to video's creator). You could play this with one hand. And what comes to those light shows, I learned how to make them in a weekend. Sure it consumes alot of time but it's not hard.
Wilutube03 Yeah, no. It doesn't require talent - anybody with a Launchpad, even a keyboard is able to memorise something like this. I can even tell that the content creator has placed the songs linearly by the way he presses the keys. Of course, what the creator's done is nice, but it's not talented, and it probably should not be played on a Launchpad - it should be played on Beatport.
***** What this video creator did is not sampling. They chopped up the song on something simple like Audacity - you can clearly hear it every time he pushes a key. And sampling is difficult, but that's what most music producers do to remix songs, so it's very much expected - (or they contact the original creator to ask for samples). Also, you clearly have no sense of what sampling is anyway - it's most certainly not .midi files, so don't call us out if you have no idea what sampling or slicing is in the first place.
This NEEDS more views. Holy hell.

Voltapix Sorry I worded that wrong, I didn't mean talent, I believe you have talent what I mean is that you shouldn't fool people into thinking you're actually doing something while all you're doing is making a light show, the talent involved in what you're doing is memorization, which almost everyone can so it's nothing really special, also perseverance and passion don't lead to talent because talent is what you're born with, you can't create talent, however I think you mean: hard word beats talent.
Again however, this isn't hard work, this is just a light show, you're fooling the viewers...

well the Book Outliers disagrees with you...haha. I understand where you're coming from, but the buttons that i push also have audio samples in them, so technically it isnt JUST a lightshow.. im working on producing my own music at the moment tho. Launchpad covers do look easier than they are...
Voltapix I noticed, HOWEVER i find that covers are really useless.. i mean.. you're basically just playing the track lol, it's still IMO a light show but i give you a lot of respect for actually pressing the buttons instead of just having a light show, (I notice the skips in your cover now) I just assumed you were a SoNevable Wannabe (Gets way too much credit for nothing imo but oh well) My apologies. Sorry Voltapix, I just has to say that this is nearly cheating. The only thing that u show of here is ur timing (and memory) which isnt that perfect lol. I'm just saying that the guys with launchpads that really has talent, uses their buttons to launch one sound, and combine all of those single fx buttons to make a mashup/remix. All u do is press one button to play a part of the pre-made track. Look at m4sonic for instance, im not tryin to put u up against his talent, im just telling u to look at his technique on how he combines all the buttons to make it a track.
