Time it took to make this project: 2 Days
8 years ago, I was just a kid and discovered this cover, I was so AMAZED!! This video specifically awaken my passion for music, I learned how to play piano, a guitar, then a launchpad mini my mom bought me and taught myself theory and to make this launchpad covers from splices like this one.
Its great to see you this have grown over the years. This channel has made me discover I have talent in music and so much more. More Power and Support!
For those who do not have a Launchpad Pro and are wondering how to set up this project file, the difference between the different launchpad versions is how the MIDI is mapped. This should fix any problems you may be having.
1) Click the button at the top right of Ableton that says "midi" (parts of the screen should now be highlighted in blue)
2) On the left there will be one or more paths (they have a min and a max on the right, the max is usually set to 7)
3) Double click on one of these paths and look at the bottom left of the screen for the drum rack
4) Find the knob that says "Chain Selector" above it and click once in the blue area (it probably says something along the lines of "6/E6:B6"
5) After clicking once, hold down the far right and highest button on the launchpad (it looks like a play button and has the word "vol" or "volume" next to it.
6) While holding this button down, press the far right and lowest button on the launchpad (it also looks like a play button but has "arm" or "record arm" next to it)
7) Do this for each of the paths (the selections in the top left that have "min" and "max" next to them)
The song should now transition normally, message me if this does not work for you.

Hey Kaskobi, Why does my "Rainbow" in 1:42 lasts for like 30 seconds, and how do i fix it please?

Just change the apprigiator repeat option to 1 repeat on the light
OH MY GOD THAT LOOKS SO COOL
So i finally found a way to fix the rainbow. It is now shorter but it will do.
how i did this:
1. Click in the middle bar called "Lights"
2. on your touchpad make sure you have it on C
3. on the bottom left of the screen there is a bar. make sure you navigate all the way to the left.
4. you see 2 rows of pink bars (These colours may vary) with the word chains on it. On the left row click on the 5th bar and on the right row click on the last bar.
5. now scroll a bit to the left and you see the tab Note length"
6.change the circle with the name "Length" above it to 500ms. This number basically represents the length of the rainbow. 500ms was the maximum my launchpad coud handle but this may vary between launchpads so you might need to test this yourself.
7. have fun playing the rest of the song.

hi guys, can someone help me, i open this project file, sounds are ok but no lights. (im using ableton live 9 lite and launchpad pro)

You want lights like that ? You need to program it

1. Press CTRL and , in ableton and select your launchpad (and Input and Output)
2. Reselect your launchpad in the LED track

Are you using windows? Thats normal. Ableton was made for iOS... On macs its faster and not so glitchy.

I can do everything EXCEPT for the part at 1:50 on where you are doing the drums and the main part of the song, I can't do both for some reason. If I focus on doing the main part, my second hand wants to go along with the beat. Same if I try to focus on the drums, and I can't focus on both, so how the hell do I multi-task on this thing?
+FoukelPoint Practice helps :). Once you start playing for a while, you just get used to multi-tasking.

I had the same issue, but what I did was did the drums with the song very slowly and sped up until I finally mastered it.
