Hi and thank you for that video! I‘ve watched a lot of your videos about the Komodo, wanted to buy one now but I couldn’t find a solution for a good focus system on a gimbal. How do you handle focusing on a gimbal? I‘ve watched a lot of DJI RS2 videos but most of the people say the focus system is cumbersome and doesn’t work with longer lenses (rods are too short and so on). Do you have experience here? Thanks!!! Ronald
When I need focusing I use the tilta nucleus nano. Super lightweight and can be adapted to most lenses. You can see it in use in a few of my videos and some close up in the "RED Komodo at Night" video. I mostly use it on the Ronin 2 with the ready rig but rarely on the RS2. I find it too hard to pull focus by myself with both hands on the battery grip, especially with the komodo. whereas if I have the ready rig, I can pretty much frame with one hand and focus accurately with the other. You can always get a ring for the RS2 (I think tilta does one) which would help and get cheap extension rods if needed. I have never used the DJI focusing system, and using the front wheel with a cable connected a7s3 for example never works.

Tu utilises quoi comme phone? J'utilise un iphone 12 pro max ou l'ipad pro avec les dernieres updates et pareil avec la Komodo. j'avais des problemes de lag il y quelques mois mais pour cette video j'ai ete agreablement surpris! (outre le probleme de connection avec la data)
nop you can't. The issue I have and that other people seem to have is that you can't connect to the Komodo if phone data/signal is ON. You basically need to turn on airplane mode but obviously keep the wifi on.
yep, the max output of the Komodo is 6144 X 3240 which is 17:9. For youtube I had to basically crop the sides out. Used the Tokina 11-20 ATX 2.8 the photo version, adding a link in the bio now ;)

I am 100% going to use my Komodo to vlog. The image is so good that I’ll deal with the pain haha
Ahah I would too, in the end, it's mainly about being able to manage large amount of data and being just that extra careful maybe :)

yes it works, you just need to get the Kondor Blue Trigger cable for the Komodo :)
