    Most gifted player I've seen in the flesh. He was at the height of his ability when this was being filmed and I remember a lot of these home games. My dad thought he was the best player he'd seen after George Best.
    The Man Utd deal would not have worked. Ferguson would try to control Gazza and he would suck the God-given creativity out of him, as he has done with Rooney. Venables understood Gazza's personality and his management of him for the most part worked.

    Gazza....Football legend. Such a sad story and went through alot. Saw his friend get killed by a car aged 10, then of course missing a world cup final and getting injured in the fa cup final and not climbing the beloived steps at wembley to get the cup. All these plus a few other things fooked his head up and he tended to dwell on things, no wonder the drinking set in. Likeable fellow although sometimes abit ott, his heart was in the right place. Gazza!!! one of Englands finest midfielders.

    • @charliepeebles
      @charliepeebles 7 лет назад +1

      He never missed a world cup final. England didn't play in the final. As for missing lifting the FA Cup he has got nobody but himself to blame for that. He injured himself while seemingly trying to take the life of another player.

    • @HullMarkCA

      Chris The Yido Not a chance. he was a kid at Newcastle and he was allowed to continue to act like one at Spurs. Fergi looks after the young lads at United and shows them what it's like to be a professional…or you don't play. He would have taken good care of a young Gazza. It's hindsight now, but there's no doubt in my mind that he would have had a better career and he’s be a cleaner man now if he'd have chosen United over Spurs.

    this was a time when kids could dream of playing for their club, all thats gone now, the money men controlling the game have killed that, and i wont go anymore now, the pandemic for me didnt kill the game, its been the greedy men, and their agents, agents killed Clubland Entertainment,eventually they kill everything, all my mates about 20 of them wont go anymore, they mean it when they tell me some of them wont pay sky prices to watch their team.
