    I don't like the Cowboys but I don't understand why they think 11-6 won't win the division. Why is Philly going to win it? The second half of the season for them they were the worst team in the league. What is so different now for Philly?

    • @NightcoreNewbie
      @NightcoreNewbie 17 дней назад +1

      On paper, Phily has the easier schedule and they actually tried to get better in the offseason unlike the Cowboys. Cowboys probably won't go 11-6 with their schedule anyway. They play Browns, Ravens, Steelers, Lions, 49ers, 2x Eagles, Texans, Bengals, and Bucs. That's 10 games that aren't going to be cake walk games so not much leeway for losses.

      Best post on here that I have seen. Great points. From a moneyball point of view, they lost the last game of the season. And as a business man, do I pay the guys who lose the last game of the season? Hmmmm. Great question. They are stars for sure. But Green Bay made them look pretty bad. I have concerns about Dak and Micah. And I have concerns about how much WRs are getting paid. Lamb is amazing. So I would try to trade him for as much as you can get for him in this bullish WR market. I wouldn't resign Dak. For one, we moved on from a pro bowl QB for him. Romo would ball out with the team Dak took over. Dak is good. But He isn't top 10 QB pay good. Maybe top 12 or 15. A lot of QBs would shine on this team. I would probably end up paying Micah. But I would want to know he is healthy and fit. Not sure how long he is going to last or keep up the high motor, most don't. The NFL is a league of short windows. Its not like you are signing Nolan Ryan at the age of 26. I don't like Jerry, but I like his staff and sons around him. They are the brains. If they can keep Jerry away from the whiskey/telephone combo they have a shot at a slump buster the next few years.

    Rich, the last time I checked, Dak Prescott didnt play on defense against the Greenbay Packers in the playoffs. The Packers scored on 7 consecutive possessions, from kickoff to the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter. Dak threw for more than 400 yards,, had 4 touchdowns and his offense scored 32 points in that game. It was not enough however, to overcome the huge hole his defense dug for him. Patrick Mahomes on the other hand, had a horrible first half in the Superbowl a few months ago, was able to win that superbowl, thanks to his DEFENSE. Mahomes would never have won against the 49ers, if his defense had allowed 7 consecutive scores. Dak Prescott didn't have the same help from his defense against the Packers.
    Winning is a TEAM EFFORT, and if Jerry Jones surrounded Dak Prescott with good players and not dollar store washed up free agents, he can win a superbowl. Since Dak entered the NFL in 2016, he amassed 73 wins. The only active QB in the NFL who has more wins than Dak Prescott is Patrick Mahomes, who has 74 wins.

Not counting the other high priced players on their team. With those 3 taking up about 50% of the cap, how are you going to field a competitive team? I actually agree with TJ about Dak beating Brady. There aren't a ton of QB's who beat Brady in the playoffs. Mahomes hasn't even done it. That being said, if Dak wanted to win, he should take less money, LIKE Brady did. He has more already than he will ever need. Take less, let Jerry build the team, because if he wins as a Dallas Cowboy QB, and breaks the slump, he will be a legend. And that is WAY more valuable long term. And if he takes less money now, he will be there when Belichick comes next year.

      Why should Dak take less??????? the man just had an all pro mvp season. hes the #1 or #2 qb in the nfl. Parsons and Lamb should be the ones taking less.

      @@toadfrench7801 There is absolutely no way Dak is a top 2 QB in the NFL. That's delusional. Secondly, I said "If he wants to win" That's how you win. Why do you think all the teams try to win on the QB rookie contract? The highest paid QB doesn't win often. Mahomes is an aberration.

      @@toadfrench7801 Who is Dak in this scenario? Do you honestly think he's in the same league as Mahomes? or Burrow? or Josh Allen? You think it's a toss up between Dak and Mahomes? Pat Mahomes who has never not made it to at least the AFC Championship game. Who has won the MVP 2 times. Who has won Superbowl MVP 3 times to match his 3 Superbowl victories? Mahomes is on the short list man, and Dak isn't close to it.

    No doubt going too!!???..Dakota is severely overrated...the cap is there for teams to make HARD CHOICES...but to me...DAK ain't the answer...or at least..NOT with the cowboys....it wouldn't surprise me if next year he's in arizona...killing it

    It’ll be the same thing all over again, Dak will choke if there is a playoff game, heck they’re not the best NFL team in Texas anymore, rookie QB has as many playoff wins as Dak!
