Beautiful! At the 2:00 minute mark there is the Sheraton National Hotel. It’s the lone building where the Interstate curves away a bit. It has incredible views of D.C. especially at night!
i am going to be moving across the country in a few weeks by plane so your videos help me get prepared!
I’m glad to hear that my friend!
Crazy that our entire military is ran in that one building. So cool to see
And to see the side/memorial where the American 757 hit is also a somber sight.
Great view of the Pentagon!!
If you ever get the chance to leave DCA for a little while, check out Gravelly Point Park right next to the Airport. My father used to take me there as a kid to watch arrivals & departures. It's one of the best spotting locations on earth in my opinion.
I've been there several times my friend. I have friends that live in the DC area so I've actually spent a lot of time around the area. It is definitely a great place to hang out and watch the planes. Thanks for watching my friend!
Beautiful day in a great city.
The view of the Pentagon was spectacular!
That whole area is gorgeous. I spent 3 weeks in Washington in 1987 in October. The weather was perfect for most of the time I was there. Stayed in Alexandria, unbelievably awesome experience!
I have friends that live in DC, and I've spent a lot of time there over the years. It is indeed a great city and area to visit!
Awesome takeoff views of D.C....love it. Thanks
Wow, I've always wanted to do that.
I hope you get to my friend!
Top Take off _ 👍🏻
Cool video
Getting me excited for my own DCA takeoff in a few weeks!
I hope you have a great trip my friend! I'll be in DC in a few weeks too!
Nice!
I've been waiting for a DCA flight. I'm ex-USAF and was stationed at the Pentagon. Arlington Cemetery and Ft. Myer were prominent also. You even skirted by BWI at 7:36 ! Wonderful memories. I really appreciate this episode.
I’m glad you enjoyed this one my friend!
Less than 7 minutes DCA-BWI. That's a quick flight. 😏
WOWOWOWOW!! Great views taking off!! I confess that I've never been to DCA. IAD, yes, but never DCA. When I lived in NY back in the 1970s, I took the Matroliner train down to DC for a visit, saw the major attractions. My favorite museum was the Air Space. Their Natural History Museum was top notch too. Yes, I even visited the infamous stairway and house where they filmed The Exorcist.
And I've been to DCA many times, but never IAD haha. Now that the metro has finally made it's way all the way out to IAD mayble I'll do that sometime!
@@sla31 I had to fly from SEA to IAD so I could connected with an IAD to NRT flight. The connecting flight was over 13 hours flying time.
Second 🎉
Nice video❤❤❤❤
👍
Nice video ! Which seatmap website do you use ? Thank you
My go to seat map site is www.aerolopa.com Nothing else even compares to the details they have.
Great fly! How's your vacation in Tampa with your family? And I'm in DEN (Denver) waiting my next flight to Santa Ana (SNA) tomorrow morning at 9:28AM so I booked a hotel at the time of writing of this comment because of overflight.
It's been going fine. I check in here a few times here an there, but otherwise it's all been very relaxing.
Do you know that jetblue have flight to SJU-DCA?
Yes, I was aware of that. It's one of the few perimeter resection routes that's allowed to operate beyond the airports limit.
@@sla31 exactly. Even united has a flight From SJU-IAD.
I'm never go air planes!! !!
That's too bad my friend. You're missing out on some fun stuff!
And of course...you're sitting on the left side... 🤣 but at least you get the Pentagon.....
Yeah, unfortunately you never know for sure what direction the winds will be blowing. So unless you're flying Southwest where you can call a last minute audible, you're usually locked in to what you've selected in advance.
