Maybe show the entire video where they did have him on the ground, got out of their holds and ended up with a knife by the time he opened his door. Would be good to add in the context that he was there for domestic abuse reasons.

@@LeanMrfuzzles Let me check you on your fake facts. Jacob Blake already had two kids in the car when he arrived at his baby mamas house, he was never kidnapping them. It is very possible that the women who called the police, could have been over exaggerating the situation. We need to check the facts for everything.

I agree, Laquisha Booker, may have exaggerated when she called the police, who knows. There was some sort of family disturbance; she was angry, he was angry. In Jacob Blake's interview he did say that there was arguing going on (I've read it began when Ms. Booker got into an argument with a neighbor) and that he wanted to take ths kids away from all that. According to the police, Ms. Booker's 911 call said he was taking her car and her kids. Another description of the 911 call states the caller had said her boyfriend was present and wasn't supposed to be on the premises. Jacob did admit he did have an open knife in his hand at one point but he also said he was going to put it in his pocket (I know if I were surrounded by police telling me to stop, my hand wouldn't go anywhere near a weapon). I have no idea what was in Jacob's mind when he didn't comply. I wish he had. Whenever anyone is shot by the police my first thought is 'what happened', so many people jump to different conclusions.
Incomplete information is dangerous, and that is what Noah is doing. Peddling incomplete information to incite rage.

A black man was laying on his back in the road with his hands up trying to communicate with an officer about the autistic child in front of him and he still was shot. There is more to this than the gun, it is not always just about race, but it is a great portion as far as the threat level.

Being in the United States Military we practice a lot with these scenarios and we all know that before even getting to use deadly force they must meet the deadly force triangle which consists of 3 things (1.Opportunity) (2.Capability) (3.intent) but before even getting to the point of using deadly force we also practice the Use of Force Continuum which consists of a program leading up to lethal force 1st you must use your verbal commands if not complying 2nd use soft controls (ex. hand on shoulder hand on a wrist) 3rd Hard controls (ex. Take downs possibly strikes) 4th non lethal force which consists of the OC spray, Baton, and Taser. 5th = Lethal force/Deadly force so I don’t understand why I continue to see police officers fail so miserably at following this are they not being trained the same way? Or are they just disregarding the steps our government puts into play?

I understand that many police departments do NOT train their officers to deescalate a situation, they are trained to STOP the situation. Stop, to them, means using deadly force.

I ask that you look into Dave Gorssman and his "lectures". Pretty much EVERY precinct across the nation has had him teach his philosophy of "The Bulletproof Warrior". Remember all the times our future policy experts have said: "we can't use the armed services as a police force"? If course there is some truth to that, but the bigger implication is that our military folks just aren't trained in policing techniques like this. Ironically, our police aren't, but our soldiers are.

Labeling matters, and the media know this. A group of angry white folks taking the law into their own hands is euphemistically called "a militia" or "vigilantes." @KillerBeers that police officer was trained. He full well knew how to stop a man from walking all the way around his car to his door. He let him go in there, then shot him seven times in the back. Your saying that’s just regular activity and defense? Blake was resisting arrest yes, but the way that officer responded to that situation was incredibly shitty and unprofessional. Given the times and the fact that Blake was black it’s pretty hard to argue against the BLM narrative here whether you agree with it or not. You legitimately have no ground in this argument.

It's called stopping the threat. Go watch some videos on the Active Self Protection channel (ruclips.net/channel/UCsE_m2z1NrvF2ImeNWh84mw), and you'll see that in a life and death situation with a deadly threat, you either stop the threat immediately, or the threat stops you. If someone is willing to end your life, then if you don't stop them first, they will kill you. There are an untold amount of videos showing that 1, 2, 3, even 10 or more bullets don't always stop a threat, especially if they don't hit a critical location. So you shoot to end the threat. Period. Whatever that takes.

Well they already treat pets better than people. Or at least they did before some state made it legal that a dog barking was liable for a cop to execute the animal, to just shoot it dead because they got startled with no recourse on them for it. But if Michael Vick was the one holding the gun, Animal Rights protestors (mostly just obsessive pet lovers) probably would've been burning down some buildings. And the small sea of mostly White bodies people would've humanized the situation and undone that law or clause. But no, we have cops shooting Black people on fear and suspicion being attacked even when there's proof that not only are most police encounters with African Americans involve us being unarmed. But they also show that they escalate a situation on their own, especially if the Black person - man, woman, child, disabled person, is alone and vulnerable. There was a mentally troubled man in some state that the cops were called for and they didn't even really bother talking to him as he was on a park bench before they jumped to violence.

Really?! You don't believe its possible the police were called to a situation and don't yet know who did what when? The first thing cops do when they arrive is ask a TON of questions to understand the situation. A man walking up to them surrendering probably isn't as important as determining what happened. Once you understand a situation you can act. You can't arrest a man whether you think he's guilty or not before at least having an inkling as to who did what when.

Bullets can ricochet or go off in wild directions. Plenty of innocent people have been killed in cross-fire. The police officer fired as many rounds as it takes to neutralize the threat. Real life is not a video game or an action movie. One or two bullets doesn't always stop a violent criminal. In many instances, a violent criminal can be under the influence of drugs, adrenaline or have a severe mental illness where they don't even feel the wounds and they will keep attacking a police officer. It can take up to 20 seconds for the brain to register the wounds in a person under the influence of drugs. In 20 seconds, the police officers would be dead.
