The Devils Advocate: The Untold Story
Renowned journalist and TV personality Karan Thapar’s memoir, the incisive Devil’s Advocate: The Untold Story, written with his characteristic wit, has the stories of his life: personal anecdotes, encounters with famous people and his long-drawn dramatic friendships with a crosssection of controversial and well-known personalities ranging from Sanjay Gandhi who attempted to teach Thapar to fly in a nerve-racking sortie across farmers’ fields to Aung San Suu Kyi, Rajiv Gandhi and LK Advani, with whom he had a falling-out. There’s also the untold story of two of his most contentious interviews: with Jayalalithaa and Narendra Modi. “Thapar will be in a riveting session with Indian journalist and author of Why I Am a Liberal: A Manifesto for Indians Who Believe in Individual Freedom, Sagarika Ghose.

He talks about Amitabh and it sounds such a below the belt talk. Irony that he laments about the low standards of journalism

This guy enjoys talking about the miseries of others. He publicises private talks and defends that the person did not mention that they were confidential. No respect for this guy

Karan Thapar and Sagrika Ghosh have already passed their sell by date. In such forums they try to moan but they will soon be forgotten completely as they are no more than a mediocre talent.
