Hoots are more practical when it comes to range. Granted they weren't that far apart, but you gotta remember this show is educational, they are mostly simulating the scenarios to show what is the correct procedure.

When I was 9, my family and my uncles family went down these roads for 20 miles with only enough food for 3 days. We camped for 2 weeks surviving on only what we caught or hunted. I guess today its called survival, but that's how my dad and uncle lived. Either way it was a pretty cool experience.

Talk about ironic. It just suggested this video to me and I leave in 6 hours to camp in the North Maine Woods. Let's hope I'm not in the news missing 😂
Those Kina's or sea urchins as Cody called them are disgusting expensive as at the supermarket but there is so so many in New Zealand. My mum and sisters scoff them down and I try and yeah na ferk that😂 I'd rather eat anything else..
As someone who's lived in Maine all of my life, these guys were nowhere near the northern Maine woods of they are two miles from the coast. If you go to the Allagash up north that's some rough terrain for sure. These guys are not far away from civilization where they are.
So true Don't always agree with Dave in all situations across episodes, but Cody's overly strict "morals" and ideas that can be respected bc it's not my style, yet objectively could easily overall result in 💀 in real situations in longer term survival circumstances that definitely outnumber any instances that Dave has done
When i lived in Central Maine. I used to drive down old logging roads to go to work everyday. It didn't matter if it was raining or snowing. It was usually snowing. 😏
Northern Maine woods is nowhere near the coast, the coast has houses and cottages every square inch, now I know what happened to my hunting truck when I ran out of gas I came back and it was destroyed
You are mostly right. They found a back yard to film in a couple miles east of Cutler, ME, where the coast is rugged, and fewer homes on the coast line.
This is the episode that I lost all respect for this show. I live in Maine. They repeatedly said norther, remote, Maine. News flash, there is no coast line in northern Maine. I did in fact find the private driveway with matching turrain, swamp, and culvert in what we call down eastern Maine. And it is only a couple miles out of the town of Cutler, Maine. An easy drive to and from. They where .36 miles from the paved road of Rt 191, and the driveway (remote deep woods wilderness road) was a total of 1.14 miles long. So basically, they set up filming in someone’s back yard.
26:41 you mean the log submerged is more traveled than the actual even grassed dry soil pretty much"bridge" less than a few feet to the left that has maybe inches of width of the stream to cross that's obviously narrower than the 1-2ft your trying? 😅🤣
In a survival situation somebody’s vehicle that broke down driving down a road would know what direction they came from and where they can find help. Just saying
They could have walked out a quarter mile to route 191, or walked to the house .75 miles that they walked by at the coast, that they managed to leave out of the video.
😂 was just thinking that. And since it wasn't clogged by the beavers, that tells me someone has been there and maybe even camped inside of there? Haha love Post10! Watched every single video on his channel
lesson for all kids if you find unlocked vehicle in middle of nowhere assume it belongs to noone and strip it for parts dont forget to rip apart anything your not gonna keep and litter it all over the landscape
#1 survival tip for driving into the unknown. Fill up on gas and take a spare gas tank. NOT, lets drive 100 miles down a dirt road with a quarter tank.
Patience dave had to put up with cody was crazy lol cody really messing around

I don't think he was high enough
Think there was some behind the scene drama judging by how he acted this episode

They are absolutely the best when it comes to survival. To be able to take nothing and be able to survive on it ,2 THUMBS UP.
One question about these episodes. Instead of bird calls to find each other why not just yell hey dude where you at lol😅😅😅
If I could have given your comment more likes...... I would have done so.
Because hoots can be heard further and uses less energy than shouting words.
Hoots are more practical when it comes to range. Granted they weren't that far apart, but you gotta remember this show is educational, they are mostly simulating the scenarios to show what is the correct procedure.
bird calling burns less calories
Higher pitch sounds carry better and it takes much less energy to hoot as loud as you can than form words equally as loud.
i know what's wrong with it dont got no gas in it 😂😂
I always felt Dave has to carry Cody most of the time. Cody might be able to survive in the desert but he looks lost everywhere else.
He put his partner at constant risk. That’s why the show ended was it not?

You'll be so cold within 30 mins Bud

Iove how they Just didn't make the camp on the road?
That's by far the easiest camp to make.. and will be seen much easier
Because in the event it rains they get washed out, the road would be the first thing that fills with water.
What happens when someone rolls up on that truck a year later? Why wouldn't they put a date? Tuesday means squat out there on the logging roads.
