Yes very useful, I learned that in boy scouts a couple decades ago. You can do a similar thing with a t-shirt where you twist off the arm holes while still wearing it and inflate it with your breath. I found the pants method better but you make do with what you have.
These two are the A team when it comes to the show Dual Survival. Great tid bits of information but the best part of this show is watching the interplay between two people that are from different societies.
These two were the best ones of any of the many cast members over the years. They were a great team and complimented each other with their unique personal skills and experience in different environments.

After Dave lied about his military service he was fired, don't expect to see Discovery ever employ him again. Dave is Persona Non Grata at Discovery (and HBO and all the other companies under the Discovery-Warner umbrella).
