Thank you for these instructions. I thought I had done something wrong when the inside handle still turned even when locked! Good to know it’s a safety feature to save time getting out in the event of an emergency. 👍
Add my new deadbolt and everything works correctly. When I lock with the key, the key will not remove unless the key is turned back. Is there any type adjustment I need to complete. I removed a Schlage to replace. Using series B60, B60cs, B60f, B62.
Who else spent time uninstalling and reinstalling the lock because the inside knob would not lock? Why not tell us about the weird locking mechanism in the actual directions??
Completely worthless because I have a door KNOB assembly from Shlage and the door knob covers the holes to tighten the screws. Even the instruction manual has everything about the handle version but nothing about the knob one.
Hello, Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, we do not offer loner screws or thcik door kits for our keyed lever/knob entry sets. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any other questions or require any further assistance, please call us at 888-805-9837 or email consumerschlage@allegion.com.
Actually instead of completely installing like the video says to , and then re-handing, just push the pins in and remove the levers, THEN install the cylinder rotating 180 degrees, THEN switch the levers, otherwise you have to do the whole routine twice. These directions are just inadequate.
I got that good looking lock. I did all according instruction. I fave regular door 13/4"but lock lousy on it. NOTHING in instruction how to tighten it. There in no hols on the inside part for finish screws. NOTHING in instruction how to do it. I spend all day. I tried to call the company no answer for a long time.
On the inside part of the lock is a little button (small rectangle) and when you push that the back of the handle will come off. You can then pull off the cover to access the screws.
Good Lord! They tell you how to change from L to R hand door but neglect to tell you to rotate the cylinder 180 degrees. Which is what you have to do or the pin hole doesn't line up correctly. She just says "line up the pinhole" but to do that you have to rotate it. Come on Schlage, you can do better than this!

Are slightly longer chassis screws available?

The paper installation page is useless. This video didn’t’ help much either. Very disappointing.
