I thought at one point, he became one of elliots personalities. Like Mr Robot or Vera, Elliot adopted his personality as a far ground with this elliot as the middle ground. Well tried before he was corrected.
Christian Slater describing NY as a giant credit card was hilarious. Everyone focuses on Rami Malek, but Slater gives us one of the best performances of his lifetime.
I truly believe Vera recognized Elliot’s “real” personality. He knew who “The Master” personality was from the start and why he was there. He recognized he could change the world at a global scale and was eager to manipulate him and get into his head for such power.
@@chill3282 I think it's more about his wrath. He believed that wrath was the source of real power, and he saw that rage in Elliot. He knew Elliot had the potential to become a big storm.
"Even asking that question means you're thinking too small." - I still think about this line all the time lol. The difference between only being able to view money in terms of tangible goods and abstract power over society.
I so miss this show a lot. I wish we had gotten a season 5 hanging out with the true Elliot one time would've been a fun journey. But the four seasons we got with the one year wait of launch the finale was worth the wait though.
I disagree. I like the fact that we’ve been rooting for a character that we’ve never truly met before and we never will. Our Role, along with MM’s is over now. Time to step back and let him return as host
I love how it starts as Vera dictating to Mr Robot, and a minute later it's him whining and begging to impress him with 'startup capital'. MR is looking down from a vantage point where he knows even if Vera could takeover all of Manhattan, that's still just a tiny piece on a giant chess board so ABOVE Vera he doesn't even know it exists.
Vera thinks he can go from being a street criminal to being the king of crime when he wouldn't even be on the chessboard, he'd be the bones that factions like the Deus Group grind up to make up the white squares on their chess boards. He's trying to play Poker at a table that makes up one single tile on the Monopoly board.
Honestly, I expected more from Vera after his Caine moment. Maybe like being some secret kingpin of NY or helping Elliot in his grand plan. Mr Robot was right to be disappointed.
@@littleleg6428yeah exactly which really cements the realism of his character. Almost sociopathic but extreme emotional IQ that happens to see right through the whole veil of the show the whole time.
5:09 Krista felt so disappointed about herself about how elliot didn't cared if she trusted him or not and wanna just save her and surprised by his hacking supremacy again.
'power is just an asshole stuffed with money. And whilst you're already stocked up on asshole, money you just don't got' - I literally spat my tea at that!
The last minute of this scene really puts the whole show in perspective. We've been following this personality since episode 1, but we don't see how dangerous he is until season 4 because Mr. Robot was keeping him in the darkness from truth. Angela's death brought out the true Monster inside Elliot this season.
No, he looked at patient notes which didn't distinguish much about the 2 personalities but he figured out which was which, which is why he was smiling and was happy. He likes this version.
The absolute brilliance in this 6minutes of runtime. 1. The writing setup for Vera's masterplan to be broken down by Mr Robot as a metaphor for the entire basis of this show: destroying the matrix. My favorite part about this is that everything that he said was absolutely true, it applies entirely in real life. Which is crazy and scary to think about. 2. Vera's observation of the mastermind's absolute genius and terrifyingly powerful hatred for the elite/matrix that is the fuel to all the fire we've seen in the show up to this point. 3. The comedic banter and chemistry between them lol. Apart from all the serious topics and darkness of the episode, you always get some funny lines from Vera that do not take away from the darkness and mood of the show, which is why he is in my top 3 favorite villains of TV of all time. "this aint about being no landlord, bruh!" 🤣
6:00 Vera is attempting to kidnap the MASTERMIND: elaborately; this envisages that an idea can bend space time and create reality. Citing Billy Carson and Bob Proctor: Imagine, "SPELL" it out, and watch the execution unfold. Speak into existence. Vera is trying to capitalize by coercion, as sadistic as me may be, fortune favors the brave, the riskers, the takers..........THE ultimate HIEST.
It was perfect. Lol. Cause Vera was crazy crazy. The epitome of a smart dumb person. Lol. Wants the whole city pushing his product. Lol. Legal and illegal business alike. Lol.
So interesting that Vera is one of the only people in the entire show who distinguish between Elliot's personalities.
And he respects Elliot more than Mr Robot
He's just as nuts but doesn't have the IQ to utilize his craziness like Elliot
Insane recognizes insane.
Didn't he learn that by reading Krista's notes?

I love that line. After seeing all that Elliot is capable of you really could think he's kind of scary.

You got to appreciate Elliot Villar's performance as Vera. He was an erratic villain but he broke Elliot twice.
Dude absolutely bodied it, one of the best villains in TV history ngl, even with his little screentime
And he got what was comin' to him.

One of the funniest and quotable lines from the show.
"Even asking that question means you're thinking too small." - I still think about this line all the time lol. The difference between only being able to view money in terms of tangible goods and abstract power over society.
idk why but his delivery of "that don't sound too good mr. robot" kills me
same lol
Absolutely mocking him.
I've got a love hate relationship with vera
Vera: "I wanna OWN this island!"
Mr Robot: "... so lemme get this straight - you wanna get into real estate?"
Audience: LMAO
"You don't need Mr.Robot....that's why you my dude...I'm more scared of you than him..."

My biggest fault against season 4 was not seeing any more of the woman whose life Elliott ruined, I wanted to see her story resolve.

Vera sees the Mastermind and he knows it so stops looking away and straight at him. Awkward Elliot was a mask.
